I have been very pleased with my U-Haul experience. The only reason I have closed my account is because I am moving to a different location.

ANTOINETTE E | First ImpressionsWhen we arrived, I realized we needed another unit. So I quickly ordered another one online & it said it was ready. However when we went to it, it had a lock on it. I emailed the manager, no response. My husband and I were on the phone. Finally, someone answered & then he put my husband back into the que which took a while. We were there with our belongings, but couldn’t get into the unit. This delayed us and I had to extend the truck which cost me 65.00. I had already extended it earlier because the movers were late, but instead of 2 movers I eventually got 6 & they were very nice & got the job done. But I felt like I shouldn’t have been charged for the last extension because it was t my fault. We were there and had to wait through the long phone process ‘ for someone to come & unlock the door. The young man who came was very nice, Also we were suppose to get a free lock, but there wasn’t one in the unit like the other unit we rented. However, I did call and I was told that the last extension was removed it took 3-5 business days. Also they noted my account and I can pick up a new lock. One last thing, I feel you should have an emergency or a more direct number so if something like this happens, we can get someone directly. Also there were someone’s belongings up front and that didn’t look good as sone of the merchandise was blocking the hallway.

I’d tried for weeks to get in contact with the GM of the location by phone, email, & voicemail go close out my account & retrieve my things due to losing employment, and there never was a follow up. I’d spoken ton4 different people, people from customer service, & people from different locations who say that they’ll reach out to him, & leave notes on my account for contact to be made to me, & nothing happened. -I tried to pay for my unit online, website didn’t allow me to because the option to pay was grayed out -I spoke with someone who said I could pay a settlement amount to retrieve my things, the store said that I could not because it was considered a half payment. -Tried to file a complaint again this location via customer service, never received a follow up. -at this point, I just wanted to receive the medical records I had in the unit & other important documents. -I’ve spoken to the agent who manages the auctions, & the details about settling out were completely ignored by the staff at the location my storage unit was because I was told repeatedly I couldn’t make a partial payment. However when attempting to follow up with her about this, it took 2 weeks to finally reach her because I was being forwarded to a voicemail that doesn’t even work. -I take responsibility on my part for missing payment because I was unemployed but still willing to settle out, however no one assumes responsibility on uhaul’s end for their negligence, & that’s what’s frustrating because I could’ve paid for my unit. I had the money to settle out for my unit. If the store associates are overlooking notes put in place & say I need to speak with the GM but the GM never returns calls or emails, causing the unit to be sold, I get screwed over losing highly sensitive documents, and no one seems to care. Where does this leave me as the customer. I followed everything that was given to me, but what is the point of the employees/staff do not? I’m not even fully concerned about the items themselves, I merely wanted the medical documentation, & could never retrieve it. It’s unacceptable & I’m currently speaking with an attorney on how to proceed. I will NEVER recommend this service or location to anyone. Horrible experience, horrible staff at the location, no one ever answers the phone, etc, and here I am now without my belongings because of their negligence.

They made me travel back and forth between two locations and they lied to me and my mother a few times saying they would assist me. I received nothing until I paid. The manager certainly did not care. As long as there are other storage places I won't be back!

Well I guess the free month you gave me is not free. You will not get a recommendation from me and word of mouth is very powerful! Does not feel good to be taken advantage of. Did try to resolve my dispute with the manager but only got push back that I need to read the small print.

Will never do business there again nor will i recommend this location. Also the truck he gave me was on empty. I took pictures as well.

They had an attitude because I refused to buy one after already buying locks 3 weeks prior. A nice gentleman who worked there bought the lock because of lack of communication. Also called the manager of the facility and he never returned my or my wife's calls.

I got self storage the location was not accessible my key card was not activated I pushed the service button several times no response I called the location no answer I had to rush to another uhaul location to get a storage unit. After doing so went back to location to return truck and mngr stated systems have been down all day no apology or empathy.

Patricia S | Overall ExperienceEverything was great except for me not being able to access the front door entry because of the step by step process. 2 boxes on the left and 1 on the right. In order to access the front door you must swipe box on the right first, next swipe the 2 on the left…which is backwards (in my mind). There aren’t clear instructions on swiping which one first. There should be a numeric listing out front. The place was clean and well lit! The staff performs routine spot checks to make sure your area is secure. I had more than 1 space, and my lock wasn’t secured, I got a call on my voicemail and they told me to come secure it or they will have to put a new lock on my space. Overall —great experience! 5 stars

I had to later rent a second unit and when I got to it, it wasn’t ready so I called to make it known. It took 30 minutes for someone to come and unlock the unit. He then told me that the units didn’t come with locks, I was told that they did come with a lock and he was rude as well.

I called customer service they was no help told me to comeback tomorrow which was totally and inconvenience to my schedule. Luckily the office was still open and the gentleman told me to follow him back up and that he would get it unlocked not to mention it was 16 degree weather yeah totally pist me off moving in however it’s in my storage and that’s all that mattered but horrible situation someone wasn’t doin there job properly for that lock to be on there i made reservations previous day.

Was hassled on my vacation about the room and we were given late charges and extra fees, I could not get anything accomplished from out of the country. Sent several emails regarding the unit being emptied closed at my request when I rented the unit for 30 days. Then was told I needed to snail mail a release form, I would have gladly signed in the beginning if I was made aware. it was a HUGE hassle. Since then, they have closed the room and account and did not charge me the extra fees, so I am satisfied, but the customer service needs help in servicing customers promptly.

I had to continually push the loading cart though the staging area for all the carts which has small barricades that I to go over. It also didn't smell that great neither. My unit was clean and it was a convenient location for me.

However when I called later, I was told that someone was given my space AND used to rent it under my name. The store rep was no help and couldn't explain why it was given away. I reserved another space but later cancelled it. I was unable to move my items, which prevented the movers from completing their job. This was a HORRIBLE experience and I decided to go to one of your competitors. Very disappointing experience and I would not recommend Uhaul to any of my friends.

He saved me mad paper, which was point cause IM broke and the reason i got the 5x5 storage unit (which works very well if you know Tetris) was unexpected. I was prepared to pay that low price of 39.95 tho. 41.63 after tax in my city. But ANYWAY my man was SUPERB pulled up to remove my lock and explain yall strict a** security system. Lol i like it tho SECURE MY PROPERTY MANE! LOCKDOWN! 2x! do youfeeeel me. But look i can’t remember his name and it’s 7am i ain’t going to the car rn its cold and I’m cuddling buttttttttt. It WAS NOT the guy with the green hair N the piercings. Fire him. Or not cause they trippin wit that unemployment stuff. But he deserves a thumbs down or a boot . . It was the older white Man who saved the day. Kinda tall skinny some wrinkles. Glasses? Maybe? Looks like he may or may not smoke a cigarette every thirty minutes but HE DESERVES IT cause like he been thru alot and he appreciates working for you all. Which are top 10% best employees. If y’all actually read this imma go back up there today and y’all email me ill tell you but i hope yall know or figure it out BUT it be the right person. Id like to enjoy a lager with that mane. I had to drive to storage office, where I waited in line for at least 10 minutes (with one other customer in front of me). I got more upset as I witnessed the employee just let the phone ring, now understanding while I could not get help at the storage facility. No eye contact, no thank you for your patience, or I will be with you in a moment ma’am. It was like I was invisible. I expressed my disappointment in the experience I was having, and received nothing. No sorry, no resolution. I had just paid a hefty fee to remove one item out of storage that my college kid left behind. Another whole month for an ironing board, So I just donated close to 100 bucks to you all and two rental trucks. My daughter is back in dorm and a sophomore. I will need more storage and moving trucks in the future. It won’t be uhaul. Good luck with your business. I won’t patronize again. I try to resolve these in person, but was basically brushed off by staff.

The first month free was great for the units i used short term and the included pads was better (although there were way too many) because PODs doesn't offer any pads at all. Booking, tracking and contacting U-haul was easy. I would recommend U-haul for anyone doing a long distance move.
Casey DNot sure why I am rating U-Haul Moving & Storage of Florissant II 1350 N Hwy 67, Florissant, MO 63031 since my rental was with the Lake St. Louis, MO U-haul which provided OUTSTANDING service, support and even returned phone calls. The delivery driver Franklin was OUTSTANDING did a great job during the delivery, placement, pickup and final delivery to my new location. Very communicative and professional. Florissant location - I don't know what they are doing over there. No phone call returns, minimal interaction and required me to make a personal visit to the Lake St. Louis office when I started to worry about my final delivery. Lake St. Louis, MO met all my needs.
