The last time I rented, I wasn't very happy with uhaul over some changes they had made to their policy. Was never ever going to rent from them again. But as it turned out I needed to move a collector car of mine, after losing my storage spot. So I relented and rented a car hauler trailer, as usual the trailer was awesome, but my well laid plans started to unravel as one after another my things went wrong.. My winch failed, no electricity plug ins for the air pump to fill a leaky tire. So after getting my air tank. And a friend with a pickup to pull the car onto the trailer. We got it loaded. Head out to get to my sister and brother in laws farm. Had a mechanical issue and had to wait till the next day for a part, since everything was closed for Thanksgiving. Needless to say I was late bringing the trailer back. When I got to the uhaul to return it. I apologized for my tardiness and mentioned the reason for being late. The fellow behind the counter said, thank you for renting from uhaul im sorry to hear of your troubles, was everything else satisfactory, I said yes it was awesome the trailer worked great and pulled very nice. I just wish everything else had worked out as well. He said well since you had a breakdown and had to spend the night in your pick up. I'm not gonna charge you the extra day. You sir are good to go. Thank you for renting from uhaul. Wow! You could've knocked me over with a feather! Now that is customer service, and made my day. Thank you for a great experience Uhaul.JEFFREY S.
Completely unsatisfied with the fact that I drove the truck a total of 10 miles and got charged $116 for fuel. On top of the mileage. Absolutly an acceptable to be charged an extra $116 for fuel when I drove 10miles total!!! Not happyJENNIFER F.

My confirmation said to pick it up at a Moorhead location and it was not there. I ended up driving to Fargo to get it. I was told I could leave it at my original pick up location in Moorhead and then got a phone call that it hadn't been returned. The lady I talked to was very rude! They said if I didn't go get it and bring it back to Fargo they would charge me $200-$400 to get it. I ended up picking it up again and bringing it to Fargo and they charged me for an extra 3 days. It wasn't even where my email said to pick it up! I should've gotten a discount not charged more!!! Awful service!JESSICA K.

My order for a two wheel car dolly was â€œupgraded to a trailer we could not tow with no notice. Very nice unless it means you will be stuck. It could have been disaster but because I called ahead I was able to say no thanks that scuttles our plans. They found a dolly, farther away and we had to go and get it with no compensation offered. So much for a guarantee. The dolly was great. The folks I dealt with were great. Better use of the text and email contact they offer would have been nice as we caught their error in time by double checking to see if all was as promised. It wasn't. I also didn't like that my rental was more money in the US than in Canada by about 100 bucks. Having said all that the dispatcher I spoke to today was awesome and we were able to drop the dolly at a better location than originally scheduled. Uhaul had given me an extra day as compensation for their failure to have a dolly at the asked for site but an extra day was no benefit at all and it was handed back to them 3 days in advance. All in all communication and compensation can be better but the dolly and people were great.JAMES W.

I had assumed that each person, when done with the truck, would need to fill the gas tank. The tank was only at one-fourth when I picked it up. I filled it full ($46), but only logged 74 miles total.
