Everything went well. All my rental was done online.
David D.Brad was extremely rude, (cussing and complaining along with being rude to me and my son- in-law. I ended up having to go to the parts store to purchase a tester I didn't even need because it was your equipment that wasn't working. I wasted over an hour of my time .. absolutely ridiculous

But making the amount a stupid guessing game, let alone one clearly stacked against me, is unnecessary. On top of the rolling return time is ridiculous. And I simply do not accept any argument about protecting a business that has thrived for decades. The site was great. The brand, well, you guys simply just suck... In all the worst ways, too

When the fuel tank was topped off, the gauge indicated just slightly over 1/2 tank This was a little unsettling, especilly when trying to calculate fuel consumption and fuel stops. Other than that, the truck was nice and worked perfectly.

JOSHUA G.Dishonest business practices. I am waiting on a GM to call me back, so we'll see if they right anything. I reserved a 20' truck. The site said they guarantee my reservation- time, place and equipment size- or they give you $50. When I went to pick up truck, all they had was a 15'. Said they don't even have 20' trucks at any of the locations in my metro area. So, why are they guaranteeing them? They said we do not get the $50, because the fine print states alternate equipment- which doesn't even make sense. Technically, even a small trailer could be considered "alternate" equipment. So, we were unable to get everything moved in the timeframe we had help because the truck was smaller than the one we were falsely guaranteed. I got into the truck and took pictures of the gas tank and odometer immediately. I was told the tank was at 1/4, and I was not told an odometer reading. The gas light was on, said 49 miles to empty, and was at no more than 1/8 tank. I called the site and told the guy who answered about the gas discrepancy. He told me he would update the info in their system. A friend who helped us move told us there was supposed to be a security tag on the dolly, and if it's removed they charge you. There was no tag on ours to begin with. I went to return the truck using my phone to check out. I needed my reservation number, so I went to retrieve that, and noticed an email and my account from U-Haul that was titled something like your contract. I did not sign a contract and I was never told about a contract. When I ran my card, I signed for the payment. The employee took that signature and put it on a contract without my knowledge or consent. I understand why they would do a contract, but in the moment we were at the store and busy moving all day I didn't even think about the fact that they hadn't brought one up. Until I saw it in my email. I am beyond angry about this- I do not sign anything without reviewing it. This is straight up fraud. But, I still needed to check the vehicle back in. The employee told me that if I brought it after hours (my scheduled return time was after hours) they would check it in in the morning. But I got a text message clearly saying they would charge me $20 if they did that, so I wanted to check it out myself. The site would not work properly. I opened and closed the browser, restarted my phone, cleared cache. After a long day of moving and a good 30+ minutes trying to check out, I gave up and called customer service. The customer service line had a 20-minute wait. I spoke with a rep who checked out my vehicle. I wanted to confirm that I wouldn't get charged for extra gas that was not there to begin with, so I asked her if the gas tank amount had been updated like the staff member said he would. She stated no it wasn't because he couldn't even update that while the vehicle was still checked out. I said I wanted to be contacted about this, so she said she would have a manager contact me on the next working day and gave me their direct number as well. So, we will see if I even get a call back tomorrow- which is Monday. (I didn't get a call today but it is Sunday.) But how do you really resolve employees lying to you and fraudulently using your signature?? I recommend going somewhere- anywhere- else.

Signed up for auto payment when I rented but it didn't work and when I went to access my storage I was locked out. I understand things happen sometimes but was not happy that nobody was available to let me into my unit when payment was figured out. Also, gate was frequently just standing open when I came or when I drove by. Rented through the winter and several times when I came my lock was frozen shut and I could not get into my unit. I feel someone should have been able to assist me instead of telling me there was nothing they could do.
