We were relocated for pick up four times and didn't get the truck we wanted. I wouldn't rent from here again. The staff was efficient and nice despite the horrible run around.

The truck I rented was not available (customer did not return) and I was transferred to another location that costed me probably more miles. They neither offered me a larger truck for the same price.

Rachel C.Deplorable behavior from the two gentlemen who worked Saturday May 13, 2023 near 6:00 pm. I don't appreciate being barraged due to a poor trailer connector harness that drained my perfectly well driven car pre-trailer hook up. Telling me I am wrong and their equipment doesn't do that. Tell me why I purchased a brand new battery, didn't plug the lights from uhaul trailer after new purchase, & I was able to drive my car again. This is completely on uhauls lack of proper equipment. I was very nice in the beginning but now I'm pretty ticked off. Don't harass other adults in a vehicle either about whether the trailer drained our battery or not. The other companion wasn't even dealing with this transaction so don't do that again. Deal with the person who is telling you of the issues, not someone who is a bystander and completely not involved. Piss poor service from grown ass men.
allie G.The only problem with this location is the location and that it is harder to get to being on Main Ave. . But the service was great. When I returned the trailer, I got out of my vehicle to go into the building and she (name not known) was walking out to greet me and do her photos or what ever. AND when we turned around to walk back to my truck and the trailer, he almost had it completely unhitched. there was no time wasted and I was ready to go in about 1 minute after arriving there. That was wonderful.

Jean M.I personally called many times to reach the staff at the UHaul office and no one ever answered. The security gate was always broken or left wide open. The door closest to our unit was removed as an access point forcing us to haul all of our items back and forth down the length of the storage unit once we were done utilizing them after each of our swim meets. We as a team learned to adjust to the previously mentioned reasons for our safety ie. making sure we went to the unit with a buddy and visited only during the day light hours. The final reason we left was due to the fact it wasn't heated. We paid for heated storage as our electronic touch pads for the swimming pool can be damaged with cold. Many times, I accessed the space I could see my breathe inside the building. Ultimately, we moved to a different UHaul facility where all of our concerns were eliminated.

John H.Thank you so much for making our rental work out, the manager made things happen when we encountered a rental snafu from the “rental system†that left us being told that we needed to drive an hour away to pickup the only available trailer able to be rented and dropped off at the destination location. We made reservations three weeks in advance and were told two days before that we had to fix the situation by driving round trip two hours from our original destination ( that has three UHaul locations) to pick up our rental. We were not happy. The main Avenue manager got it all fixed for us after three other locations and the U-Haul 800 number staff failed to be able to fix our reservation. Fargo Main Ave location manager knows customer service and we thank her for her efforts!!!

Masoumeh N.I picked up my uhaul Sunday morning around 10:45. I went from uhaul straight home. We loaded the truck for 12+hours. Woke up Monday morning, finished Loading, got in the uhaul and left Fargo. It was 10:13am. Not 10 miles later I had to pull over due to the washer fluid spraying the hood not the window. I was told to call Roadaide assistance. They told me they don't come out to “fix†vehicles. I called uhaul back and told them what I was told. After being put on hold I was then told someone from uhaul would be out to where I had pulled over to fix the truck. This was now almost 11am. They get there around 11:15. They look at the washer fluid and I'm told that I need to bring the truck back to the Main Ave location so they can have their tech fix it. So I head back to Uhaul. I'm there for about an hour. They fix it and I head back out of town. This all put me 2 hours behind to sign a new lease in MN. I didn't get here until 5pm. I was supposed to sign my lease at 3pm. This put us so far behind. Plan was to g, suing lease, unload, take stuff to storage and return the uhaul. They was not the case. We got the truck unloaded. Got up Tuesday morning, I now live in the Twin Cities of Minnesota. I do not know where anything is here and need GPS. I Had issues with my car battery and my vehicle not starting. I called Uhaul to let them know I would be late for the drop off. They said I'm good, no worries. GPS took me to the wrong location, twice before I got the right location. On top of the $355 I was initially charged, I was then charged another $51. So for 2 days and because of issues I had no control over, I was charged over $400. I am not impressed!!

Had to call the hotline and get codes for multiple boxes before we got the right one. Truck had some mechanical problems on the trip to my original site. Matthew D.Initially, the guys were saying I needed a 2" ball. I only had 1-7/8 ball with me. So, I bought a 2" ball. Once that was straightened out, we went to the trailer. The tow hitch on the trailer said 1-7/8 or 2-1/8 ball was needed. So, I returned the 2" ball. No big deal, but maybe the trailer serial number could be tied to a reservation and the size ball required could be tied to the reservation. Maybe that could reduce some confusion.

They have a very well maintained driveway as do every home on every block in the vicinity. Needless to say it was quite embarrassing to have gotten stuck in their driveway. What's more humiliating is having to get help from not just the person I bought the couch from but neighbors as well and destroying their driveway and creating ruts in the neighborhood was the icing on the cake. Wait perhaps the amount of gas that was wasted was the icing. Either way the service at the location was fantastic it's the condition of the equipment that should be fired! Or at the very least refunded

Kathryn P. | First ImpressionsI had a great experience for many of the ten years until someone climbed over the unit walls and stole many items and ransacked the containers/boxes/trunks. We contacted the police who came and reviewed the incident and also asked for video footage to be reviewed with no results. It seemed that this could have been easily researched by finding out who leased a unit adjacent to mine to have had access over the small crawl space for a good length of time. Also the empty units were left unlocked and people would sleep, do drugs, etc in the units making it eventually an unsafe place to go. Having secured these empty units would have made a world of difference. Eventually, the back (south) doors where secured for exit emergency only but the unleased units were left unlocked so the transient population could till use them for there own. Frustrating as these units could easily have been locked by Uhaul. Perhaps heated indoor units is not the answer to secure storage. Thank you for this exit interview. And hope this helps for future secure units.

Signed up for auto payment when I rented but it didn't work and when I went to access my storage I was locked out. I understand things happen sometimes but was not happy that nobody was available to let me into my unit when payment was figured out. Also, gate was frequently just standing open when I came or when I drove by. Rented through the winter and several times when I came my lock was frozen shut and I could not get into my unit. I feel someone should have been able to assist me instead of telling me there was nothing they could do.
