I would not ever recommend U-Haul to anyone anymore. My experience was beyond terrible. I've been a loyal customer all my life but the ubox program is a scam to get all your earthly possessions, move them across country, then tell you that they don't deliver to your home (after you've paid and they moved everything to another state). Then they keep charging exorbitant storage rates for all your things that you have no way of getting without hiring yet another mover. They have lost a loyal customer for life and I would never recommend using them at any price. I ended up spending thousands of extra dollars to get my own stuff and months of living without everything I own. It is a scam that has got to be criminal. 0/10 would not recommend.Jared W.

The personnel at this location rented my trailer out to somebody less than 24 hours from my rental. The customer did not return the rental promptly so my 9 AM reservation time I made 72 hours before I needed it wasn't there. I had to wait for them to get the trailer in over four hours later and drive all the way back to come and pick up the trailer from the project I was working at. The service personnel did try to help me load the trailer but that's when we noticed the trailer while it has a 6â€˜ x 12â€˜ inside dimension only had a 4â€˜9â€œ wide ramp and I needed to be able to get a zero turn riding mower up onto it with a 62 inch wide deck and that was not possible. The service personnel were very helpful and able to return my money and get me a credit but overall I was not happy with my U-Haul experience in any manner whatsoever.DONALD CLARENCE B.
The call went to your corporate office. It would have been much easier if I could have talked directly to the local office instead of going through the corporate office. I spent 45 minutes on the phone because of the inefficiency of corporate. I was initially told that I could not have the car wired until Friday. When I was able to talk to the local office it was revealed that they had many openings for the required wiring on the day I called and they took care of me the same day so I could make my schedule. Worked out OK just wasted an extra couple of hours. Over all the experience was very good. In most things local is better than central.WILLIAM KEVIN H.

Your company needs to train its employees much better. Only one lady actually knew what was going on, the rest of them didn't know there asses from a hole in the ground. My experience was terrible right from the beginning! Someone even cancelled the moving company on me. It took me over 2 hours to straighten it out. I was also quoted 2 different prices. Of course I had to pay the higher price. I will never use uhaul again! Further more I will tell everyone about my terrible experience with you. Later that day when we returned for the remainder of our belongings my wife went inside to ask about the damage. None of the employees had a clue what she was talking about. Trailer lights only work intermittent, tried to use my warranty and get it fixed but was told it was my vehicle even though all my lights work on my vehicle. I will not take it back to the same location again and feel like I have been ripped off since I am unable to use the trailer hitch legally after paying over $300 for it. Ask customers if they are new to using U-haul services and if so, briefly explain the process and the most important things you think the customer should know. Give them a quick rundown on how to return the rental, where to park, policy on locking the doors, etc. and be upfront with the variables that will affect rental cost, like weekdays vs. weekends, and remind them to refill the gas tank before returning. People have a bad habit of not reading paperwork and assume they will be told what they need to know from the employee.Michele L.
Although the truck was visually clean, my only complaint is that the cab smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. It is probably imbedded in the padding of the seats. I suggest that an attempt be made to clean the cab with a Febreeze-type product so the smell can be removed.Colleen C.

They did not complete the job. They claimed that my vehicle was too rusty and that I will have to go somewhere else to have the job finished. They also left the hitch wiring in my trunk instead of attaching it to the hitch. The van brakes we spongy, had to pump them to stop, There was dog hair in the seats and in the cab. The van was rented for business by a business owner, who has an account, everything was set up online prior to the actual rental, yet the employees who drove the van were required to pay with their credit card, even though the business card was on file. One employee used her card, the other was the driver and the email I get (business owner) is in the name of the driver with my email address, the card user isn't mentioned and the business owner now has a receipt in the name of the driver. I rented one for two days and it seemed to be used to haul manure or something. It was dirty! Told the lady about it and just told me that I wouldn't be charged a cleaning fee. You should state a specific late fee date after due date. There were times when I was six days late and didn't get charged. Yet, if I was there days late on other months I was charged. The customer service at the Escanaba location is FANTASTIC! Everyone is always so helpful. They all made our relocating an easier task than expected. I can't sing their praises enough. We utilized a climate controlled storage unit, plastic moving totes and a 26' truck. Our unit is pest free, clean, highly secure And well lit. The totes were like new and EXTREMELY helpful for uniformity with packing/stacking for the move. The truck was well running with far more giddy-up than we expected for a large truck and we used far less gas than we expected . For 100 miles we only utilized 1/4 tank . The online service is helpful to put in the information & account management. However, there were some Server issues that caused me to have to call their office initially but Kristen W.
