I am not sure if I would recommend this location. If the new General Manager is still there in 3-6 months and has been able to turn it around, I would. I had issues with my rental. He was easy to work with and very helpful in resolving the issues I faced.DEBORA V.

Better communication with customers. Or just communication at all. I was never contacted when my UBox arrived. Not a call, email, text messageâ€¦ nothing. I was given a â€œguaranteeâ€ that my UBox would be available to me on January 13th. So when I showed up on the 13th with movers, I was told it actually wasn't available until the 15th. This after an extensive effort to locate my UBox after being told by a representative it was at a different location. I'm aware this review was supposed to for the truck I rented, but renting the truck wouldn't have been necessary had I been given correct information. The movers I had paid to help me move came prepared with a truck. 5 stars to them! Unfortunately, the staff on location couldn't have been less helpful. The second I brought up these concerns to them they immediately passed the buck to Ubox as if it was their fault it arrived a day early. The number I was given as an attempt to resolve the issue was contacted 11 times and I was immediately hung up all 11times.ANGELO D.

There REALLY needs to be a way to book hitch/wiring installs or at least confirm that they can do it. Couldn't find anything online, so I called in. Got a reservation line instead of their office. Reservation agent said they could do it since "they're a hitch supercenter" so I made a reservation for a trailer. When I got there, the one person that does wiring wasn't working that Sunday, so they I couldn't get it done and I couldn't rent a trailer. I wasted an hour just because I couldn't make an appointment or even talk to the location about trailer wiring.PAUL F.

I plan on sending an email. While I was satisfied with uhaul, more so when my boxes arrived early, that is where the good news ends. I asked for a truck and two boxes on the double trailer and when I arrived, they were on individual trailers. Not having the time to wait for the correction, I pulled them in my car. With a 20 - 30 minute drive, I was only able to take 2 the first day. I asked that the other 2 be ready at 9 a few days later. They were not and after waiting till 1030, I could not wait any longer and so I left, again asking them to be ready at 9 the following day. Again they were not and I had to wait. The last box ended up not having a pin foe the ramp so that sucked and and was not safe to use. Very disappointing. I wanted to get all 4 boxes in 1 day, 2 trips and it took many days and 4 trips. If I return a truck a few hours late, or return with less gas than required, I would have to pay. Uhaul messes up, what compensation do I get? I will be asking for some.WILLIAM A.

Two things that were handled poorly. The containers arrived in Colorado almost two weeks early, yet nobody informed me of this. So I had to buy things to not sit in an empty house when my stuff was in fact 30 minutes away the entire time. Second, your moving help helper was rude, offensive, refused to deliver more than one box in the end and should not be advertised as reliable help by your company. Gracias.Bernhard L.

The lady at the front desk could speak to customers, maybe say hello or respond to a â€œHow are youâ€, instead of just saying â€œName?â€ and then never saying another word until I needed to sign something. Stood there for like 15 minutes in silence. She was very rude and noticeably not happy. Also, U-haul offered a discounted price to drop off at a different location. I accepted and prepaid and did express check in. Got there and still have to wait over nearly an hour and was then charged the money that was subtracted for accepting the new location. So I drove a further distance to help U-Haul but was still charged for the full price.COLBY K.
Regarding the 'well maintained'. There was no windshield washer fluid. It was a snowy day. Maintaining a clear windshield is critical. They rented me a truck that was unsafe.Gil M.

It took forever to pick up the truck. I didn't time it, but between 30-60 minutes at the register. This wasn't me standing in line, this was just the time it took to check me in - I had a reservation, there were no special issues. Should be like renting a car.. also the left rear view mirror was so loose it just flipped in the wind so it was not really there. Very unsafe.James H.

This location was great, however, the Castle Rock location said that apparently the trailer I needed was not available even though I was able to book it online. In the past few months I have rented trucks 4 times, and have rented 2 storage units. EVERY TIME there was an inconvenience/problem. I didn't have the energy to â€œshop aroundâ€, so just kept going. The staff at this Englewood location are always polite, friendly and worked to fix problems- there were just lots of them to fix. One of these times I picked up from a different location and didn't have problems, but the store was filthy and unprofessional.Karey G.

The rental I had needed lots of work . Not only was it dirty on the inside but there was lots of broken things that needed to replaced ( missing mirror, sun visor and so on) The gas gage was not what the contract said it was and the staff was aware of the situation and did nothing to correct it .Jacob E.

Communication between Uhaul employees and offices could be much improved. Notification of the next step would be helpful. I was constantly calling uhaul numbers (nightmare - too many phone numbers) to get updates of events such as morning vs afternoon delivery/pickup, etc.William S.

Move in was delayed because Uhaul could not locate keys to the available move-in units. This was a big inconvenience for us to wait to unload our trailer when we arrived after a long, tiring drive that day. We were not able to start moving into the unit until after they found the keys and then we were forced to return the trailer by ourselves after the office had closed and the staff had gone home. This resulted in an extra day charge for the trailer rental which we have disputed because they agreed to waive that extension fee due to this key problem that they were responsible for fixing.Janet J. | First Impressions

Couldnt get on location website to do a online check in..no one there to really guide you on checking in equipment, unhooking trailer..and never got my email on my check in..JASPER B.
We reserved a 26' one way truck 5 days before our move. The night before we were supposed to pick the truck up we were notified of a change to our reservation by email, not even a phone call. Not only did the pick up location change, we had to return the truck 35 minutes (33 miles) back to the pick up location because it was changed from a one way truck to a round trip town truck. This added and additional 33 miles to this move and ended up costing us more than a hundred dollars over what we would have paid with our original reservations. I called multiple times and got the run around every time with no help. I'm very displeased with the lack of customer service I was provided. The employee that helped at this location was great, but he was unable to change the reservation back to the original terms. All employees at this location were great, however I will never use nor recommend uhaul to anyone. Terrible!Samuel B.
Our location was switched on us only 2 days prior to the move not giving us the choice to look elsewhere. We specifically chose the locations we did to save on mileage as we were moving 1 hour away. When we received the truck, the check engine and radiator lights were on, and they give us the truck that way after â€œlooking over itâ€. The lock was supposed to be provided for free for the storage but the staff told me they do not provide locks. Property insurance is supposed to be included but the staff told it does not. Our experience has been an administrative disaster. Our U-Box arrived on time, was easy to pack and got picked up without incident. But then U- Haul forgot to ship it! They chargers us for storage at the destination where they didn't even have the box. We were given a daily compensation rate but are still being chased for these inappropriate storage fees. It's really been a nightmare - moving is stressful enough!jennifer M.

I contacted the staffs over 5-6 times to cancel my storage unit. The Eaglewood store NEVER gotten back to me and still wanted to charge me for the storage unit. I called numbers of time and finally got that cancelled. The executive assistant who assisted me was not friendly!!! and trying to accuse me on lying about "I have already moved out my storage unit before taking a look at it"! but it turned out to be empty since a month ago! Corporate U-Haul sent us a "Guaranteed" 26' truck on the day of the rental. There was no truck that screwed up our move. Corporate called me to cancel the contract. If it were not for the efforts of Aaron at U-Haul Moving & Storage of Englewood finding a truck to reroute to his location, we would have not have been able to move at that time. What needs to improve is the inept online scheduling for U-Haul rentals which is handled by Corporate U-Haul. Deal with the location you are renting from, they know the truth of what is available and when it is available.John B.

First I made the reservation at least almost a week in advance. And they decided on the pick up place without having a conversation with me about it. The company decided to make my pickup place in Fairplay Colorado. Which is about an hour and 30 minutes away from Englewood Colorado and I had to take and hour and 30 minutes out of my life and time to move to pick it up the U-Haul and then had to take another hour and 30 minutes of my life and personal time and packing time to drive the U haul back to Englewood Colorado and then I had to take another hour out of my time and packing to up up the hitch at Englewood U haul Colorado. And then pack up my U haul truck and move. I feel that U haul should hire or pay someone in every state in America to pick up their U haul truck and put them where they are need as a sevice to the customer and that would Great customer service. And not required the customer to pay for moving there trucks for the, that is dishonest and conniving to expedite for a customer to pay for the moving of the trucks or should give the bigger discounts on the trucks for the inconvenience of handling there Transportation issues. ðŸ¤" Just a thought! Every time I removed my lock from the storage unit an alarm went off. I assumed that if someone was really concerned about that they would show up. Nope. It took 2 trips to get all of the stuff out of the unit. On the last load, I went into the office to cancel my rental. After waiting in a line that didn't move for over 30 minutes I decided to check and see if I could cancel online. Which I could. So I went back to the unit and took the requested pictures and submitted them. I also canceled my monthly auto payment (so glad I thought to do that). I then started getting emails and bills in the mail telling me that I was past due for my rental and that liens were going to be put in place. I emailed the location and got a response that it was an error and I wouldn't receive any more bills. Wrong again. The bills kept coming. I kept sending emails. When I tried to call the location to speak to someone I ended up hanging up after being on hold for 45 minutes.Jennifer F. | Overall Experience

We were renting a truck online and didn't know you could reserve storage on the same transaction. This made it extremely simple! when we arrived to the facility we weren't sure from the looks of the outside that it was going to work and then upon checking in realized we didn't reserve what we wanted (we thought we were reserving a 10x10 on the main floor but it was on the 3rd) and the unit we wanted wasn't actually available. We were going to try a different location but the man who helped us went above and beyond to help and accommodate us. He was very nice, explained things well, helped with the locks, and his customer service was a huge reason we didn't move on to the next location. we were able to find a smaller unit on the main floor that still worked out and the experience was the best part of moving day! ¡Gracias!Jessica M. | First Impressions

I had booked the storage 3 months in advance and still when I arrived at the location I was told they didn't have availability for the size I was looking. I had to manage another booking with 2 different sizes and pay $80 more than what I initially was quoted. It took nearly 2 hours to get me into a unit. First my reservation couldn't be found. Then they didn't know exactly what units they had available. Then they tried to put me in a second-floor unit, when I had reserved a ground floor (there isn't an elevator). Then they couldn't find the mast key to open their own lock on the until to let me in. I rented both truck and storage to pick my stuff and put it in the storage but the access card wasn't active during the access hours so I had to return the truck with my stuff in it because I don't have space for them ,that's why I rented a storage .Second thing, I waited more than 30 minutes on hold to speak with a customer service representative and no one answered. The only impediment to the process I faced was a delay encountered when I was to unload my UBox and move it into storage. The UBox could not be accessed by the forklift while a semi was being unloaded. In hindsight I should have scheduled a definite time for the UBox to be moved.
