A consummate professional who will always see to it that we the customers are always taken care of with the utmost respect, care, and most importantly love. Now the Floor Manager Bree is just as diligent in her duty to our needs as well. In fact all the employees hired on by Shanel are there because they share the same professional values toward all the customers in the truck rental and storage facility world. Thanks again, and I wouldn't go any where else in Elk Grove or Sacramento for that matter. God Bless, Merry X-Mass and Happy New Year in 2025!!
BRUCE C | First ImpressionsDrop off experience was very terrible. Long lines and only one person working. I showed up 30 minutes before close to make sure my dropoff went smoothly. Was eventually told to "just use the app" to return the trailer. Entire drop off time ended up being 40 minutes which is terrible. I received little to no assistance from staff other than a location to drop a trailer and by the time it was all parked they had closed up and no employee was in sight. Eventually figured it out through the app which should have been unnecessary with how early I got there.
ANDREW EI have already attempted to file several complaints. The boxes were delivered late. The pick up by Uhaul (contractually agreed to) did not occur on time because they could not contact me (I was actually travelling but as we had a contract date for pick up I could not imagine that I would need to confirm the written contract that was executed). The late pick up moved the delivery out 5 days and caused my family to change holiday travel plans. I will not use Uhaul again.

KAREN B | First ImpressionsI was told I drove 150 miles. When in fact. We drove around 120 miles. I put in 20 gallons. I was told the mileage is 7 miles a gallon. 140 miles. The gas mark was just a hair short of half a tank. Which is what I was given. The person told me he will charge me $25. I told him. That's 6 gallons. That's crazy ! I told him that every Uhaul tried to get money by using this gimmick. I wanted to speak to manager. He said not available. I asked him to tell the manager to give me a call when available. He said. No. You call. We won't. Asking me to put gas for 182 miles. When I drove 120 miles. Why ? It's more about the ethics.
FIRDOS SI rent a couple times a month from the same location and never have had issues but this weekend I rented a trailer with a tire issue. I brought it back early and the worker seemed to not care and told me "either way you will be charged what they quoted you on pick up"
STEPHEN CNot everyone has a working camera on their cell phone to take a picture of their driver's license so please fix the issue of having them do that themselves and get cameras that go with your computer. The staff who helped me was extremely helpful and patient and of it weren't for him, I wouldn't have been able to get a unit.

MANUEL RWonky steering. Wonky gas gauge and glitchy after hours drop off. Had to do it twice. Staff was unwilling to help mere seconds after closing. "We are closed sir, drop your keys in the box outside" fine. I guess I won't ask for help. Shame on me. Been renting for years with no issues and the nicest and newest U-Haul facility has the worst staff. I will be going to a family owned franchise next time. The service doesn't come from lackadaisical burnouts that clearly don't appreciate having a job to go two when many are without.

RONI ONone of the above questions apply. Delivery to new house was the problem. Uhaul did not keep to schedule and did not notify me of the change. Driver was out "sick". Had to drive multiple trips to get boxes myself. Then, Uhaul was extremely late picking up the 5 boxes from my parking pad that should have been retrieved on the day I had to deliver for myself. Again no call. When I called to called 3 hrs after the scheduled pickup time to check on the location of the driver I was told that the truck had broken down and the driver would arrive in about an hour. Asked why I wasn't notified of the delay and told Uhaul had no mechanism for communicating between driver/scheduling/customer. Come on - it's 2024 for crying out loud! Not offered any discount on billing to at least show that Uhaul cared about providing top notch service. This was the Elk Grove store on Stockton. Until this everything was awesome (Chehalis, WA store was amazing to work with). Very disappointed.

DARRELL T | First ImpressionsThe facility and equipment was excellent. The pick-up process however was a bit frustrating. I tried the self pick-up, and the web app had so many issues. It couldn't determine my location with Safari, so I had to start over with Chrome. And then it stopped working with my camera, which made it difficult to proceed because the pictures were blank (all black) and the optical recognition for the fuel gauge and mileage wasn't working. I'll try the native app next time, but the web version definitely has serious issues.

MARIO S | First ImpressionsHave more friendly employees especially for someone that doesn’t have much technology experience since you have to do everything online for rental and I was having difficulties with the app and asked one guy on the phone he knew nothing so asked another guy on the property he was just rude and finally called again and this lady on the phone she was a little more helpful still had a couple issues but and hour later figured it out but honestly the guy on the lot made me so I’m not sure I will use this location again how rude and unhelpful he was When asking questions to an employee and being spoken rude to was uncalled for

KEEFE RI do not like my actual storage as it is not very much useable space. I can't stack and get to boxes 12 feet high. I'd like to move to a storage area that I can actually use. When I mentioned that to the clerk he was like take it or leave it. Not many options? I plan on calling today and hopefully they can accommodate me and if not I will just move.

Israel M | Overall ExperienceDear U-Haul Customer Service, I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the experience I had at your Elk Grove location on June 7th 2024. I had reserved a 10x10 storage unit in advance, as I needed sufficient space to store my full set of furniture. However, after paying and giving my receipt I went to check out the unit and it was 2 5x10. I went back and expressed that was not what I wanted yet what I was given and paid for. I was informed that no 10x10 units were available. After explaining that a 5x10 wouldn't work for me a 10x10 unit was finally offered. The unit had a higher price so I paid the difference and was sent on my way. However, when I proceeded to the designated 10x10 unit, I discovered it was already occupied and locked with someone else's personal lock on it. I then went back inside to let them know that again there was on issue. At this point he was stumped and confused. He informed me he need time to resolve issue. At this point, I've already made 2 payments and had no storage unit. I informed them that after the hour and 15 min I had already spent there I had to go to handle other things. He informed that I would receive a call about the issue from management. The entire experience was unnecessarily complicated and distressing. The mismanagement of the storage units, combined with the inadequate resolution provided. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Sincerely, Wesley Sears

And believe me when I say, I've been to almost all of them. Trojan,Extra space,Sentry,Laguna,Elk Grove Mini,Inself Storage. All of them charge Admin. fees except, UHaul and Inself. So, thanks to Angel,Bree(extra hard worker),Rick,Penny,and last but not least,The boss lady herself; Shanel. And of course to anyone that I have not had the pleasure of interacting with as of yet. Cause I know that they are just as cool and competent. Thank you so very much for all your friendly, helpful,and diligent work! Oh, and did I mention the air-conditioned covered loading bay that leads to your temp. controlled unit? How about the always clean and avail. restroom right when you pull up? Ha !
