The young lady who helped me this Saturday 8/17/22 (I think her name is Ashley and she works at the Rutledge Pike Facility in Knoxville Tn) was an angel sent by God! I had already been having a rough couple of months and she has no idea just how much her kindness to my children and I blessed us. People have forgotten how to be kind and have no clue as to what others are going through in this world. Rented trailer. Was excellent for my needs that day. I arrived in evening to return trailer but hitch jack system would not lower. I managed to get the weight off hitch and lower tongue of hitch to ground. Not an easy task alone at night. Still Very grateful you had trailer and it worked for my needs!Timothy W.

This is about the fourth time we've driven all the way to this location because of the way, they assist you in attaching the trailer to your vehicle. They make sure brake lights and turn signal lights are working. I noticed a lot that they maintain their vehicles well. I seen new tires on the trailers and I see zip ties keeping the wires from falling off. These guys work hard, they deserve a raise.Torrence E.

Inform customers of the price difference of .39 cent per mile Sunday-Thursday. And .99 cent per mile weekend rate. A big shock .60 cent more per mile. I was not advised of different until I checked out. Has budget . 39 cent not . 99 cent . I would of went else where. Other rentals are not charging.99 per mile on weekend for 17' rentalDanny H.

Very inconvenient for rental pickup. Not very accommodating with information, and they make YOU drive and pickup equipment from another location when you make a reservation there. I really think this is wrong. If you make a reservation, they should make sure they have the equipment there for pickup when the day comes. I will never use uhaul again, or recommend them, if avoidable.MILTON L.

I was redirected to this location by a phone call from U-HAUL CO Knoxville two days before my scheduled reservation because the vehicle I reserved was no longer available at my original reservation location. I received the vehicle I asked for and was treated fairly and professionally by the Rutledge Pike location. However, I felt like I shouldn't have been charged for the 122 mile overage fee due to the fact that the reservation location change was 48 miles away from my original reservation location. I lost four hours of travel time total, put 96 additional miles on the rental, plus an additional 192 miles on my personal vehicle traveling to and from my home to the Rutledge Pike location to get the rental and then to return it. Why couldn't the rental have been transferred from the Rutledge Pike location to my original reservation location? A small transfer fee to cover UHAUL's expense would likely have been cheaper than the total cost I incurred as described above.William J.

After arriving with my trailer from a one-way 200 mile trip, the manager told me that he was full and I would have to take my trailer elsewhere. I asked where and he said I would need to check around and only offered one name about 15 miles away.. After my questioning this, he told me that he had the right to refuse because he had too many trailers and assured me that was company policy. I checked my contract and it did not state this. He had 3 other people there and no customers when I suggested he was obligated to take the trailer and find a different location. I finally unhooked the trailer, with no assistance, and left it in a safe location. He told me never to try and rent from uhaul again. Subsequently he sent me a $300 "damage" fee.Harry C.

Luckily the place Uhaul apparently switched me to happened to call as I was sitting at this location trying to get ahold of someone from uhaul. Your manager Jason Tilson, always goes above and beyond. I have spent well over $10,000(probably closer to $20k) in the last year at thos specific location, because he keeps everything running smoothly. For the past few months, it seems like he is operating alone in the mornings. I dont know how he does it, but he deserves adequate recognition for his outstanding work ethic.Mark D.

We bought a lock from u-Haul when we picked up the truck & locked the truck to go to lunch. Surprise! The keys to the lock would not open it. We had to drive all the way back to the location to get the lock off. It cost us gas, time & mileage. It took me 4 hours to get someone on the phone who could actually help with time and miles. (They didn't help with gas.) I continually got put on hold or disconnected. We would have been late returning the truck because of this without the add'l time. This is my only complaint. The customer service system is super hard to access, and while the four different people I spoke with were all nice, only one could actually help me so that I wasn't charged for something that was not my fault.Michael M.

Warning! when storing your boxes into a storage unit make sure that you do not buy boxes with handles on the side of them. It leaves access for mouses or rats to enter into the boxes. This is what happened to us when when we went to get our boxes from storage to bring them to our permanent home. There were 2 visitors that travel from the storage unit to our home, luckily we didn't bring any boxes inside of the house. So I advise if possible buy boxes that have no handles or if you do buy boxes with handles tape up the sides of your boxes.Tyra S. | Overall Experience

It took me 2 months to find our belongings, Wade who was manager at the time, had two guys come & steal our Uhaul truck while I was in the hospital recovering from a stroke, alot of our items were either stolen or broke. My husband and I were very impressed when we walked in and were greeted by Jason, who knew us by name even though we have never been in that U-Haul before. Nancy and Jason were very helpful and no matter what question we had they had a solution , we were moving from our U-Box To a storage unit on the third floor. So a few things were a challange, but not with Mancy and Jason. The building and outside are was very clean and organized all of these things helped to put our minds at ease that our household items would be safe and secure while we looked for a new home in Tennessee. Everything was good except the facility with the storage units could be a little more cleaned out send the storage unit I received had mouse feces and dead bugs in it. Great facility, Jason especially a great employee as was Chuck, the last truck I rented though was filthy outside and they had to clean the cab as a previous renter had smoked and there was a lot of ash and terrible smell. Most of the exterior damage had nothing been noted and the app frozen causing me to have to take a ton of photos, also my trip scheduled was approx 120 miles from facility to home and to drop off and I was only given 100 miles.chris h. | Overall Experience

For Uhaul a East Town-Excellent!!! For Uhaul Call Center-Poor We rented a truck and then a storage-They reserves a space that was tiny and would not accommodate the size of the truck only because that was all that was available. So, we drove 25 minutes away to the storage center in Alcoa only to be told the call people do this all the time. It was a waste of time. The guy there reserved the correct until and we had to drive another 30 minutes to the one that was available. The guy at the East Towne was so welcoming and just took charge and took care of everything. He was so kind and helpful and more than that-he was understanding we were quite frustrated.
