The entire experience with U-Haul was excellent. Best value for the price. The staff were professional and helpful. Received emails updating the movement of my storage container. The storage box was in excellent condition with plenty of very clean pads for wrapping. Arrived at the U- Haul storage facility before the expected receipt date. Received a call from a representative and arranged for a drop off to my home earlier than expected. Very happy with the entire experience. Would highly recommend.greg K.

The staff treated me like Gold. I was sad to leave. The place was always clean. I never had an issue getting access to my unit. (My only issue was the faulty like I purchased and put on the unit). But that has nothing to do with the facility. Overall I would highly recommend anyone to use this facility for storage and rental equipment. I will absolutely never use U-Box again. My experience trying to get my U-Box delivered to my apartment was miserable from beginning to end. To be fair, the majority of the problem was errors with the movinghelp website, which incorrectly set up my move multiple times. When I called this Uhaul to confirm everything was set up correctly, they said everything was in order. However, when my movers arrived my U-Box was not prepared for pick up and it took them 2 hours to locate it and get it hitched.Eva S.
It may seem strange that I would rate an experience 5-stars, but also "Not Applicable" as it relates to the equipment. The reason why is that when my wife and I went to the East Bellwood location to rent a truck, there were none available. We were already having a stressful day, and we were at our wit's end. But the U-Haul team member on duty, Larry Graham, went above and beyond to make sure that we were taken care of and got exactly what we needed. While also taking care of other customers, Larry called the three closest U-Haul locations to find us the exact truck we needed. Not only that, but when we told him our packing and moving dilemmas, he suggested the exact products we needed to make the project stress-free. Larry found us a truck at the Broadview location, and although we conducted our business there, we couldn't let this day end without giving credit where credit is due. Larry Graham was a lifesaver, he was a true professional, and his attention to duty was much appreciated! Gracias.leonard H.

Truck reservation not ready. Truck dirty, customer service was awful. Marilyn on her phone with someone during the entire visit. Had to call customer service to tell this woman to give me the other truck. Reservation states I a Entitled to a 50$ credit if the reservation is not ready. I expected my account to be credited for next visit. Woman from Traffic says it doesn't apply to one way trucks. But it applies to my reservation so there should be a credit. I was not compensated in any way. I was delayed an hour from this. This affected me and my work. Will never use this location again for my warehouse needs which is down the street. The app did not work for me and changed the address of my pick up to be 10 miles more driving so I had to pay for those extra miles. He did not show me anything with the truck. This has been the worst experience I have had with a company in a long time. I originally came to reserve my truck two days in advance. The day of, when I went to pick up my truck, they couldn't find an available one so we had to wait as if no reservation was ever made. On top of that, everyone we interacted with seemed to not be clear on what the process should be in regards to processing the rental. To make matters even more frustrating, the paperwork was marked that gas was in the truck, but the gas tank was literally on empty, so we had to walk back into the office while workers gave confusing information on how to rectify the fact that we now had to go get gas in the tank quickly since it was so empty. I'm supposed to be getting a refund on gas and now that is becoming a whole ordeal. The manager never called me, as was discussed, and when I called the store, they said she was out sick with the flu and no one else can process my refund, which makes no sense to me. The fact that I am moving, which is stressful enough and have to spend all this time dealing with this store giving me such poor service is absolutely ridiculous. Not only am I still waiting for this situation to be rectified, but I now have a $2.06 charge from Uhaul randomly.Phalon R.

The manager of the Bellwood, IL location (Arabia Pruitt) was exceptional. She did everything from helping us get started to answering all of our questions and making suggestions. My two sisters and I had to move our mom's things from a storage unit to the U-Boxes for shipment to 3 different states. It was something we had been dreading, but Atavia made the day so much easier. I don't know his name but at 10 am on July 19 2022 at the east Bellwood location on 25th Ave. I was having a really stressful time with everything I had going on he was a great help and very informative and I had some problems with the locking my key in the truck and the lock service 2as there ahead of time expected and did a wonder quick job and I really appreciated the follow up call to make sure everything was taken care of. After renting a pack of blankets and returning them the following week, I had several unexplained debit withdrawals from my bank account. $11.00 on 6/21, $7.00 on 6/21 and $4.00 on 6/29. The original charge for $10.00 was posted on 6/13. I attempted to call the rental location in Bellwood, Illinois but could not get through or my call was disconnected. My account has been closed so no more withdrawals can be made. Will not use U-haul in the future. Would appreciate a refund of the fraudulent debits.Linda B.
Truck should not be rented out. I've never felt so unsafe in a vehicle. The turn signals didn't work which is a hazard and extremely dangerous especially driving on 290. First trailer that was hooked up was determine for one way rental. So I was given another. When I went to use it I found a piece of metal laying on the floor. I determined it was a cover panel for the ride side rear lights. It also came to my attention one of the right side lights was missing. Clearly this trailer had a maintenance issue and shouldn't have been rented. Very disappointing.Michael G.

Jasmin at the desk helped me out so much with my storage unit. When booking online picking the right size storage room was very difficult. I either got a smaller storage from what i originally picked or just picked wrong size. Jasmin was so nice and helped me pick a bigger storage and closer to the loading dock.
