I didn't drop the unit off there. I dropped it off in Leander on the on the 20th of May. Someone picked it up and drove it to Forth Worth. I have been told by several employees they will reverse the billing and now I just got billed for toll the other person racked up. I felt bad for them. Almost no one able to help out behind the country so it was a bit of wait. I wasn't in a big rush, but others seemed to be. We noticed a taillight out on the dolly when hooking I up, but the salesperson caught it and made note. It might be a staffing issue not being able to maintain equipment. We went to pick up a truck after hours and it was blocked in so we had to reschedule for a later date which was extremely inconvenient and then I called to assure that the truck would be available to us they confirmed that it was ready and when my husband went to get the truck it was blocked in AGAIN!Meghan A.

The purple haired counter lady was rude and disrespectful when we return to before 7 PM for close. At 6:55 she stated that they closed at 7 and we would have to wait until tomorrow to close out the truck. She finally checked us in, but it was wrong truck and she got mad threw her keys on counter and said it will have to be done thomorrow. An outside worker camebin at 7 and rudely asked me what i wanted, when i stated waiting to be cleared, he said you know we will just send an email and bill you. Like I was an idiot and should have known. We also let them know about the driver's side seat belt not working, they stated use another belt. DO NOT GO HERE EVER!!!!!Patrick T.

This comment is more related to the online rental experience than the location. I originally reserved the truck on Sunday to be picked up in Mesquite, Texas, the city that I live in. I was notified on Wednesday that a truck was not available for pickup. I explained that I had to move out on Saturday, so not having a truck available was not an option. I was told that I would have to drive to Fort Worth to pickup a truck. That was an 80 mile round trip for me. On top of that, when I returned the truck on Sunday, I was only 30 minutes late and nobody was onsite for the check-in, yet I got charged for an additional full day. U-haul should reimburse the additional full day since I had to spend additional time and additional gas since the truck was no where near where I had originally reserved for pick up.Chance L.

Reserved rental online. Called customer service twice to ensure the price was the price I'd be charged and nothing more aside from mileage and time. Was told the price was correct. When I got to the location they tried to charge me $10 more telling me I'm required to get their insurance since it was a pick-up truck and that it was a new rule that they just had a meeting over. I declined and called costumer service back who told me the insurance was optional, after debating with me and hearing the customer service rep they, Alicia and Logan, allowed me to rent without getting their insurance. Logan and Manager Alicia never walked me over to the rental nor told me where to go to get it, leaving me wandering around to find it. Alicia brought it near the store and just left it leaving me to go back into the store to inquire where the rental was and how to get it. That was rude and apparently she had an attitude.Candice D.

Logan did NOT have a welcoming attitude toward me. I had had a rough couple of days and was having to pick up and move 4 hrs away and she seemed reluctant to help. Reserved a truck â€œone monthâ€ in advance and on the day before my move, the company called and told me they do not have a truck to give me! The location that screwed me was the Alta mere location in Fort Worth Texas! It was a Nightmare! I finally had to call corporate and complain for 30 minutes and they finally found me a truck, but it was not a memorable experience and I would like some money back or a free rental! I don't know if this will help but I had a problem trying to rent the proper size trailer that I needed, so I had to settle for a much smaller trailer. Otherwise, I am always satisfied with this particular location. The Clerks and the outside workers are always courteous and accommodating. This location is BY FAR superior to others in the area. Other Uhauls nearby seem to threaten to give me an allergy attack and hepatitis by just walking into the store (figuratively)... This location is clean and staffed by (mostly) friendly people. The truck I received had an unusually loud engine - and the passenger door wouldn't shut completely without it being slammed. The facility is clean, but poorly maintained. Despite checking in with my pass card, the alarm went off every time I opened my space. This had been going on for over a week. Yesterday, I became trapped in the elevator for 5-10 minutes. The doors would not open. The emergency call box was not functional. No one responded to my ringing of the bell. The doors finally opened enough for me to get out. When I reported the incident to the office, the staff was unconcerned and unresponsive. Particularly the blond Caucasian woman. She doesn't seem to care about anything. She is the poster child for not being concerned for customer needs. I had to press them into action to at least come out and give the elevator an inspection. The only things I didn't like were: (1) The elevator. It's too slow and can get stuck between floors if the previous person who used it props the door open for too long. I rented an inside unit with the Uhaul place located at 1101 E Loop 820 Fort Worth, TX 76120. When it was time for me to move out I hired movers. The movers noticed a smell and water damage as they got into the unit. I went to the manager on duty and he came to take pictures and told me it had to come from the wall or the ceiling. You could see on the pictures that the water had been sitting there underneath my things for a while because the floor was a darker color than the rest of the floor. I was told to file a claim which I did. I didn't get insurance through uhaul because I had insurance through Progressive already and they cover things in storage or home. It made no sense to get double insurance and I had no way of knowing I would be going through such a hassle now that my things are damaged. They were going to try and depreciate my things and give me a cash value. Now they have did a 380° turn and are now stating that it was no leak and that a guy stated I had a washing machine in the unit. There is no way 3 sets of mattresses stacked up on top of each other along the wall was damaged by an empty washing machine that was on the floor in the front of the unit right when you open up the door. All of the hoses were inside the washer and the make matters more interesting, how can a washer soak things that are sitting along walls on top of other things?樂. So basically, they are telling me that they aren't responsible for any of my things getting molded, wet and coming apart, or Mildew because I had a washing machine in the unit. I lost all my furniture and I just moved here from another state and don't have a job yet. Just got a place to stay and have nothing to sleep on or put me and my son clothes in. I had two full bedroom sets one Full size and one Queen size and one single bed which was a Queen, a mirror, my dining table, and all 6 of my mattresses were damaged and they are denying my claim so that leaves me with nothing. And to top it off, they're making it seem like as if I'm lying and it's my fault my stuff got damaged. Becaue she gone say it's been no other claims involving that unit in the past. Like woman it's a first time for everything. How do water go up walls from the floor if my washing machine caused all the damage? Do Not Rent Here!! All my hard work has been wiped out and I have to start over in this pandemic. How will I get anything when I'm just moving here and have yet to get job placement? I have a son to take care of and they should be ashamed of themselves not caring at all. I know I wouldn't get the full value of my things, but nothing at all, come on now that's wrong. I struggled for everything I got. This isn't right and it's not fair. This is no way to do business especially when my unit was an inside unit. My stuff was a total lost of over $7k but I estimated around $5k because the receipts got wet and they couldn't be made out. Have used Uhaul over the years several times for local and long distance moves. Had the usual problems with the car hitch, so would suggest better maintenance instead of sending out. At Texas location was advised that THEY made a mistake, and gave me a storage that belonged to someone else. Told me they didn't have any more available units and acted as if that was final. I drove from Maryland, with the 26' truck, and car hitch to add and you telling me I have no place to store my belongings. Unacceptable and only after me advising what needed to happen was I accommodated. Sensitivity training needs to be given for one, and critical thinking skills need to be taught for two. The staff here at this U-Haul location on East Loop Souh 820 and I-30 in Fort Worth, Tx. Is the best location!!!, the manager Mr. David Willey, he is a great leader for his team, excellent customer service skills and fast and friendly service each and every time I come inside the facility it's such a level of respect and it's very clean and organized, especially with the covid-19 6 feet apart restrictions.
