Logan did NOT have a welcoming attitude toward me. I had had a rough couple of days and was having to pick up and move 4 hrs away and she seemed reluctant to help. She didn't walk me out to tell me where the truck would be parked like I watched another associate do. Just told me “He'll pull the truck up.†Got up and walked off. Her energy was blah. Didn't smile or say have a nice day or safe trip or anything. I didn't want to return but it was the only place that had what I needed.
TAWANNA F.Reserved a truck “one month†in advance and on the day before my move, the company called and told me they do not have a truck to give me! The location that screwed me was the Alta mere location in Fort Worth Texas! It was a Nightmare! I finally had to call corporate and complain for 30 minutes and they finally found me a truck, but it was not a memorable experience and I would like some money back or a free rental! Something to show me they were sorry for the huge inconvenience!
William C.I don't know if this will help but I had a problem trying to rent the proper size trailer that I needed, so I had to settle for a much smaller trailer. Otherwise, I am always satisfied with this particular location. The Clerks and the outside workers are always courteous and accommodating. This location is heading shoulders above other U-Haul locations I have dealt with in Fort Worth

Jose D.This location is BY FAR superior to others in the area. Other Uhauls nearby seem to threaten to give me an allergy attack and hepatitis by just walking into the store (figuratively)... This location is clean and staffed by (mostly) friendly people. The truck I received had an unusually loud engine - and the passenger door wouldn't shut completely without it being slammed. The cabin was clean-ish, but still had gross sticky places throughout the cabin. Still - I'll be back. ¡Gracias!

The only problem I had was I paid storage on the 1st I moved out on the 18th and there was no refund for the extra time that I would have had the stores because I finally found an apartment I sure would have loved to get my 12 days back.

robert B.Vehicle driver door was badly out of adjustment. Cab was not cleaned well. I found a glove, stocking cap and variety of food waste when I cleaned it for turn in (none were mine). Also the vehicle wasn't full but was appropriately marked at 15/16. The lower passenger side mirror was loose causing the mirror to move while driving making it inoperable until the next stop. Left inside rear tire was low on air.

So had to call original place back. 25 mins on hold & ended back up at original location an hour after my original pick up time.. got trailer. But where's my $50 guarantee? Nothing not even a free day on my rental nothing? Come on do better!!!! My suggestion call original borrowers of previous rental & ask what time they are returning & call me with that info to see if I want to wait 30 mins-1 hr etc or transfer to another location..

Yolanda W.The transmission was shoddy and would not shift well. When trying to refill the gas tank to 3/4 full, the gas guage would not advance as it was being filled. Checked it every 3 to 4 gallons. It stayed in half a tank until the gas pump shut off. Then it jumped to full. 78 dollars in gas from Fort Worth to Waco seemed excessive. I should say it was over 1/4 full when I started refilling.

judee b. | Overall ExperienceThe facility is clean, but poorly maintained. Despite checking in with my pass card, the alarm went off every time I opened my space. This had been going on for over a week. Yesterday, I became trapped in the elevator for 5-10 minutes. The doors would not open. The emergency call box was not functional. No one responded to my ringing of the bell. The doors finally opened enough for me to get out. When I reported the incident to the office, the staff was unconcerned and unresponsive. Particularly the blond Caucasian woman. She doesn't seem to care about anything. She is the poster child for not being concerned for customer needs. I had to press them into action to at least come out and give the elevator an inspection. The only apology I got was a barely audible "sorry".

judee b. | First ImpressionsI rented an inside unit with the Uhaul place located at 1101 E Loop 820 Fort Worth, TX 76120. When it was time for me to move out I hired movers. The movers noticed a smell and water damage as they got into the unit. I went to the manager on duty and he came to take pictures and told me it had to come from the wall or the ceiling. You could see on the pictures that the water had been sitting there underneath my things for a while because the floor was a darker color than the rest of the floor. I was told to file a claim which I did. I didn't get insurance through uhaul because I had insurance through Progressive already and they cover things in storage or home. It made no sense to get double insurance and I had no way of knowing I would be going through such a hassle now that my things are damaged. They were going to try and depreciate my things and give me a cash value. Now they have did a 380° turn and are now stating that it was no leak and that a guy stated I had a washing machine in the unit. There is no way 3 sets of mattresses stacked up on top of each other along the wall was damaged by an empty washing machine that was on the floor in the front of the unit right when you open up the door. All of the hoses were inside the washer and the make matters more interesting, how can a washer soak things that are sitting along walls on top of other things?樂. So basically, they are telling me that they aren't responsible for any of my things getting molded, wet and coming apart, or Mildew because I had a washing machine in the unit. I lost all my furniture and I just moved here from another state and don't have a job yet. Just got a place to stay and have nothing to sleep on or put me and my son clothes in. I had two full bedroom sets one Full size and one Queen size and one single bed which was a Queen, a mirror, my dining table, and all 6 of my mattresses were damaged and they are denying my claim so that leaves me with nothing. And to top it off, they're making it seem like as if I'm lying and it's my fault my stuff got damaged. Becaue she gone say it's been no other claims involving that unit in the past. Like woman it's a first time for everything. How do water go up walls from the floor if my washing machine caused all the damage? Do Not Rent Here!! All my hard work has been wiped out and I have to start over in this pandemic. How will I get anything when I'm just moving here and have yet to get job placement? I have a son to take care of and they should be ashamed of themselves not caring at all. I know I wouldn't get the full value of my things, but nothing at all, come on now that's wrong. I struggled for everything I got. This isn't right and it's not fair. This is no way to do business especially when my unit was an inside unit. My stuff was a total lost of over $7k but I estimated around $5k because the receipts got wet and they couldn't be made out. You would think they wouldn't want bad publicity but I guess they really don't care about nothing but taking money like other company's.

Had the usual problems with the car hitch, so would suggest better maintenance instead of sending out. At Texas location was advised that THEY made a mistake, and gave me a storage that belonged to someone else. Told me they didn't have any more available units and acted as if that was final. I drove from Maryland, with the 26' truck, and car hitch to add and you telling me I have no place to store my belongings. Unacceptable and only after me advising what needed to happen was I accommodated. Sensitivity training needs to be given for one, and critical thinking skills need to be taught for two. I will be relocating again in a year, but probably won't use Uhaul in the future.

Is the best location!!!, the manager Mr. David Willey, he is a great leader for his team, excellent customer service skills and fast and friendly service each and every time I come inside the facility it's such a level of respect and it's very clean and organized, especially with the covid-19 6 feet apart restrictions. So, I definitely recommend anyone who wants great service and a clean unit this is the place to come too. This U-Haul facility automatically is five stars!!!
