I was caught off guard when I was told the final tally. I guess I didn't read the fine print. I stayed local, made a couple of trips to the dump and was charged just under $100 bucks for just over 50 miles. Plus I had to put fuel which was just under $25 bucks. Pretty pricey! I returned the trailer early. One of the reasons is it was pulling. I've done a lot of towing over the last four months and this is the first time the trailer pulled my truck around even when it was empty. I tried to tell the attendant and he was absolutely uninterested. He said it just came back from Tahoe as if that somehow said that it was fine. Just because somebody else didn't mention it doesn't mean it's not there. It might even mean that they don't know it's not supposed to do that.Terra K.

Everyone at this location is fabulous. Customer service, pricing, accommodating, and ease of checkout / return. The only improvement would be to allow this location to do more than Bay Area one way moves. The customer service representative did not provide me a paper receipt, and stated they emailed it the email address on file, but I have not received my receipt for reimbursement through my employer. When I asked which email address they sent it to they stated they already sent it and couldn't see the email address to verify. I was given a truck with â…› tank of gas. I was given a 33 dollar credit to return it with a quarter. But how is that even possible. In order to do that I would have to constantly fill up. I featured it with 3/8th +. With gas prices I was cheated out and additional amount of money. They should leave full and it should be the expectation. Truck was rented out with both 12V charging ports out of service. I discovered this only when my phone battery was depleted. I called Fairfield U-Haul and explained that I only had a few minutes left on phone and requested they contact roadside assistance fore: they hung up on me, contacted U-Haul 2nd time no help. Stop a a U-Haul office in Blyth. Agent called for tech support but they could locate fuse location Owners manual missing from truck. Several hours spent trying to resolve issue resulted in me having to have unplanned stop for the evening. I am requesting that U-Haul reimburse me the $150 I spent on hotel room.THOMAS B.
These people are so awesome my husband ended up getting up having a freak accident at work and ended up having to go into emergency surgery that day that we actually had to pick up our truck and I ended up picking it up towards the evening then I ended up having to extend it and they were so excellent at accommodating us with everything I love this location best location ever this is my first time ever dealing with them but I deal with a lot of different U-Haul locations and this is by far most the best especially for our familylailanie M.

Initially had reservation on Tennessee street in Vallejo. When I showed up to pick up truck, truck did not work. The owner says someone drillled a hole into gas tank and it was not running. NO ONE CALLED ME PRIOR TO MY PICK UP TIME THAT TRUCK WAS NOT WORKING . I had to drive 13miles to another location later in day to pick up a truck. Extremely dissatisfied with the entire process. Although there was a wiring damage issue with the trailer lights, they tried to pass it off as a tape repair. The damage revealed a severed wire which made some lights inoperable. I refused to take the trailer and asked for a workable unit. They complied.Roger W.

I've rented from this location in the past and I was happy on everything about it. This time around though, the truck was not well maintained. Steering control was pretty scary especially in speeds above 50mph. Braking requires you to step on it pretty hard. I guess I expected it to like the first rental where the truck was fairly new and low mileage. I would still recommend this location since the staff were nice all the time.Stan D.

When I made my reservation online, it was for a 5×5 unit and since I rented a Uhaul van at the same facility on January 31, 2021 I was supposed to get the 1st month rental for free. When I got to the facility at 1327 W Texas in Fairfield, I was told that there wasn't any 5×5 units and all they had was a 5×10 for $10 more a month and they hadn't heard about the 1st month free. I agreed to the larger unit and it worked out perfectly. 5×5 would have been too small. Thanks for the error. Everything was great until I tried calling the 800 number to order a remote for the gate and left several messages but no one ever called me back. Every time I I called the 800 number I was transferred to a voicemail. It seemed no one knew how to direct me but yet there's advertisements with the phone number regarding a remote for the gate posted all over the gate. No one at the local store could help me since it is no longer privately owned. The two people who run the store are absolutely wonderful and very helpful. Very bad customer service also they lied about the storage place that I was renting it was supposed to be a smaller unit but I paid for a larger unit.
