this location is very busy. i arrived at rush hour, can be difficult to get into at times because of traffic and left hand turns. again, it was hard to know where i was supposed to go when i pulled into the lot ( first time there) there are so many signs , promos and trucks that i was clueless where i needed to report to. once i found the right section, the people there were very nice and helpful.David N.

I left something in the truck and tried to call the store the next day. Sat in the queue for 15 minutes for the person still not to be able to help because she couldn't get in contact with the store either. I came down to follow up on my res, she was slow sitting and whispering. Returned today, another assoc , 10 minute wait, she was slow, and too quiet. Wasn't impressed with her sprew. Had to ask Jeyson too check the truck in. You have to stop your conversation when the buzzer rings. I had to wait until he got his lazy ass up as he slowly walked to the truck. I picked up the truck it never showed up in my account for me to return then they charged me for 170 miles when I went 40-50 ,I sat in the truck trying to return it for nearly 2 hours. In two rentals from this facility in the past month I was given a truck where the documented gas level did not match the actual level. The first time I did not check and learned it was SIGNIFICANTLY off. I drove the truck 10 miles and put $25 in gas back in but it still did not reach the documented level. The second time the truck I was given has almost no gas. I was given another truck to use. On this rental I was charged a $7 "damage/missing" fee for the furniture dolly rental which was returned exactly as I received it. I filed a complaint when I received the receipt but have yet to hear back.Ann M.

I scheduled a pick up time of 7am. I was paying in cash. The employee they had opening the store didn't have access to a cash drawer...? Managers wouldn't pick up the phone. Employee told me to come back at 9am which put us farrrr behind schedule. Get there at 9 and still had to wait another additional half hour for someone to arrive that had access to the cash drawer. I booked via 24/7 mobile app. The key was not in the Dropbox. I had to go inside. The u haul did not have a key for locking the cargo area. I had requested a dolly, but it did not have a dolly inside the uhaul. While dropping off there was no key drop location I had to to go inside and give the keysSahil P.

I had rented my trailer from the Colerain area on July 1st. I then got a call the next day saying to call. So I did and the guy said he had to confirm we needed it. Then two days before my rental on the 14th I got a call saying I didn't have a trailer. I had emails and texts messages from the July first saying it was rented. I have been renting a trailer for 9 years now. Very disappointed in staff at Daulton ave as well as the mess up on your end saying I didn't have a trailer. I booked a 10' for pickup at Mr. Foxy's Limousine. I received a message that the 10' I booked got returned to a different location, so I agreed to go to the new location across town at 2001 Dalton Ave. I drove across town and checked in, only to be told that there are no available 10'. I could get a 15'. Despite what they said, there were half-a-dozen 10' trucks on the lot when I left. I was only going to have the truck for 4 hours. All the 10' trucks and more were there when I returned the 15'. Why couldn't you rent me a 10'? Why did someone call me to tell me that it was there, when it wasn't? No clue what is going wrong with your business, but I didn't appreciate being jerked around and lied to.Lisbeth M.

The employees were unsure about a lot. They changed our reservation in multiple waysâ€"gave us a 12' instead of an 8' and said it was what was available. One employee told the one checking us out â€˜to just pick a return location' and that â€˜most people don't know what is the closest to them anyway'. Our reservation was to return to the location closest to us(under 15 minutes away) and the one they picked was at least a half hour away. When my husband said we didn't want to return it to the location the employee picked we were told they couldn't change it and we would have to go online and do it ourselves. My husband insisted the staff make the switch which they did eventually. Not knowledgeable and not kind in dealing with customers. Yes, it was a busy move out weekend in a college town. That was why we reserved and checked in online. There was no reason for the mixups and changes.Matthew S.

Very horrible experience with u-haul. I have chosen u-haul for all of my moves but this most recent move, by far, was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. Customer service was horrible in store and when calling 1-800 number.. I reserved a truck for an out of state move a month in advance only to find out right when I arrived to pick it up, there was no truck.. I received the confirmation call the day before to guarantee a truck yet was let down the next morning I needed to pick up the truck. I spent over $700 dollars for a truck reservation that was only to cost me out of pocket, $260. Called the 1-800 number to see what could be done since I ended up having to down grade my truck from my initial reservation only to be told oh I'm sorry, that's why we compensated you $50 because that's us giving you hush money basically.. my move that was suppose to be a one day and done trip ended up being a 3 day trip because I couldn't fit all of my things on the truck that I ended up having to use. I drove out of state and back THREE DAYS IN A ROW. Horrible horrible horrible! This has definitely changed my perspective on this companyWHITTNEY F.

The person working was incredibly helpful, unfortunately, the facility was a mess. I think they are probably understaffed. They couldn't find my reservation, then they did, but there were no storage units left of the size that I had reserved. Finally, we got a unit, but when we went to open it up, it was already taken. After that, we got a room, but there was no lock on the room. We put our own lock on, but moments earlier they expressed concern about our type of lock that someone could easily cut it off. They told us to call back this morning, but no one is available on the phone. They have security cameras set up, but I doubt there's anyone available to watch them. I called this facility prior to going in person to explain the situation, the person who answered seemed to be clueless to the "online move in experience" that the website refers to when you sign up. When my brother went to the facility, he stated that he gave them the confirmation # to access my reservation/online move in experience. While completing this move in he stated the staff attempted to sell him a higher monthly rate, a lock, and the insurance. He showed them the lock he had (previous U-Haul lock), he attempted to show them the PDF of my insurance, and he also showed them that the confirmation reflecting the monthly rate along with the free month given. My brother got me moved in. I checked my bank account a few days later. I was charged $68+ I called the facility to resolve the situation and even asked to speak with the person noted (Gary) who was supposed to resolve any issues. Gary explained that he felt my brother had an attitude and expected his staff to know everything from the confirmation/receipt I sent him in PDF form. I let him talk about everything he felt, we as consumers had done wrong. When I attempted to ask questions according to the "virtual move in process" I'd read about, ask for confirmation of my contract, and clear up any misunderstanding he repeatedly interrupted me to tell me how unpleasant my brother was to him and his staff. Without allowing me to ask any questions or understand what we could do to resolve my current issues. I still never received an electronic copy of my contract or access. Nor have I received a confirmation that the $68+ charge was credited back to my account. Instead I was interrupted, phone disconnected, and left feeling confused. This is quite possibly the WORST U-haul experience I have ever had after several interactions, different types of services/products, several locations.Tolandra C. | First Impressions
