I can't say more about the Kent WA location because I didn't notice any of the other vehicles. But rest assured I did notice every one of them at the Reno location. They appeared clean a d well care for. Perhaps the one I rented slipped through the cracks. Then again, paying almost $1200 for a one way rental, it shouldn't be much to ask to have a safe clean vehicle. The cab smelled and was dirty, dusty and hadn't been wiped in who knows how long? We got the truck we needed, but, I can't rate uhaul itself very well. We reserved a truck for our move and went to pick it up only to find it had been canceled by a rep named â€œAmaraâ€ who never called to tell us it was cancelled. I have the reservation o. I picked up a car hauler trailer, the check out took forever because a computer wasn't working correctly. That wasn't the main issue though, after loading the vehicle, it became apparent that the tires on the trailer were grossly under-inflated. I spent close to 2 hrs driving around slowly with the under inflated tires trying to find a place to air up before I could make the trip home. When I checked with the employee upon turning the trailer in whether they had a tire gauge and compressor available, he responded yes. I then asked why weren't the tires aired up properly before I took the trailer, he had no response. This is grossly unacceptable!!!! You guys endangered my property, and wasted my time!SHAWN PIEHL O.

Friendly service but...when we got the uhaul to our location, the furniture mover wasn't in the truck. We had to drive all the way back to the uhaul store to get it. I understand that my experience today may have been a one off situation, but I thought I would share. The rental vehicle that was brought up for me was the wrong vehicle, per the rental agreement. When I explained it to the staff, she made a few corrections in the system and told me everything is the same just the unit number has changed. Therefore the rental agreement I had in my hand still showed the incorrect vehicle, but I was left to trust that nothing else will go wrong. When I got in the vehicle, the mileage was way off, by about 70 miles. When I went back in the store again, a staff member wrote down the correct miles on a sticky note and said everything would be ok. I was not comfortable with that and asked for a corrected rental agreement. A different staff member told me to check in the vehicle using my smart phone and put the new mileage in there, but the link that was sent to my cell phone was for the previous incorrect vehicle. All in all, a lot of time spent trying to get them to finally fix it the right way. Pretty frustrating.Brian O.
My original location was in Carson City on the Mt. Rose highway. When I arrived, I was told that my pick-up location had changed to the Virginia St. location. I was given no advance notice by text or email. The attendant at the Mt. Rose location could not give me the address of the location on Virginia. The uhaul trailer wasn't swept out entirely, and the light wires were frayed. The staff was very friendly and helpful which made the experience better. We originally reserved the trailer in July to verify we would have one and checked in person a couple days before pick up at the Moana and Virginia location to verify. Our reservation was canceled the day of, and we had to make multiple phone calls to ultimately get this trailer. What is the point of making in person reservations if they can't be filled?? Everything was good until I was moving my stuff out. I had just paid for the whole month of August and the cleaner saw me clearing out my unit. He asked if I was checking out and I told him I didn't know yet. The next day I attempted to use the web site to determine if I was going to check out and whether I would get some kind of rebate. That didn't work and after 40 minutes on hold I was told I could only talk to the office on sight. When I called he told me I was already checked out and he had rented the unit out already. I asked about a pro rated return of rent and he said no. I then asked to have my space back until the end of the contract and he said I already checked out. I didn't check out and I believe the cleaner reported me as checked out without my concurrence. He said if the lock is removed I am checked out but I couldn't see that anywhere in the contract. After some back and forth he agreed to give me back my unit that I paid for until September. All was good until this point. I think that if Uhaul wants me to occupy my rental until the last day it should be clearly stated.TED V. | Overall Experience

They did not have the size unit I reserved, and the girl at the front desk (not wearing a nametag - heavy-set Hispanic woman working around 8 a.m. on 7/23/2021) was incredibly rude. Moved as slow as molasses and copped an attitude. As a result, my movers damaged my mattress and new sofa squeezing it into the closet I was rented. After renting a storage unit, receiving unit number, I was delayed for several days and ultimately assigned a different storage unit all because the lack of communication from uhaul staff. Apparently after all that, the customer 'must' enter the unit and put a padlock on unit the same day the unit is rented. Otherwise uhaul assumes the unit is 'not' rented and will rent it out. Thus leaving the 'tenant' who already paid, without a unit. If I rent the unit, paid for it in advance, who cares what day I physically move in? I actually had a family emergency that delayed my moving into the unit for 3 days after renting it. Though on that day, I couldn't move in because it was rented to someone else. Double renting the same unit? There is laws against such actions. To avoid that, uhaul moved me out. And when I confronted uhaul they scrambled and assigned me a unit they had just luckily had a customer move out. I had to wait for the unit to be cleaned out and prepped for my moving in. Again, it should not matter what the actual day and time I move in for any reason. I paid for the unit and secured it by paying the rent. This type of action by uhaul is illegal in any other tenant/landlord contracts across the nation. This policy should reviewed by uhauls legal department before they get sued. This dispute was "resolved" by the luck that a former tenant had moved out, otherwise there were no other units available to offer me at the time I attempted to move into my original rented unit.Dean S. | Online Move In

The cost of renting a unit is a bit expensive and the hours of operation for access to my unit are not very convenient. I rented a unit from your company because it is close to my house and I will only need it for a short time. If I needed the storage longer, I would have taken more time to find a facility that would be more convenient and less expensive.
