Check your equipment. You give me a 6x12 pull trailer that had 3 bad tires on it with one of them blowing out after driving only 20 miles. We were going to Wisconsin. It took over 4 hours for roadside service to come change the tires and only changed two. We had to drive from Ga to Tennessee. The next morning before we could even leave to drive to Wisconsin it took them 31/2 hours to get to us to change the last bad tire. Plus on top of all this they charged me almost $45 more than what they had originally quoted me. I will never rent from uhaul again!Donald M.

Getting the access code to work was terrible. The steps to access the building was terrible. Instead of a 2 step system, I'd recommend setting up a system that automatically locks and sets the alarm for each unit after its closed and unopened for 15 minutes. So Instead of sliding your card or entering a code twice, the first time you slide the card or enter the code should disarm the alarm as well as allow entry into the building. Also there's some great income revenue lost. As i was working unliading my truck, all i wanted was a bubbly beverage. I had to fight and verify repeatedly a payment made for 4 months back in February and April. I even called 2 weeks ago to try to verify my current status with payment and whether or not they recognized and acknowledged that payment for $160 in April. The gentleman was nice however had no idea what I was talking about. He called the manager and never called me back which is about the fourth time that has happened. I even had the manager talk to the bank manager to verify that the payment was made. During that 3 to 4 month. I was not allowed access to my unit whatsoever. Yet they want me to continue making payments while this matter was being reviewed. The review took literally forever and I still don't like I said no the results. I have left my debit card number yet nothing has come out. Now I receive a notice email that on August 2nd there was a move out date. I have no clue but I presumed they have sold and confiscated everything. I am disabled and have difficulty getting from point A to B yet had to repeatedly go down to talk to the manager who is very nice however nothing seemed to ever get resolved. I have spoken to several other staff and personnel that have answered the phone because the local U-Haul self-storage rarely answers themselves and normally I get someone else from another location. Please verify if you must. If my belongings have been sold and that unit has been seized and auctioned off I will definitely pursue what my legal options are regarding this matter. You are more than welcome to verify all of my many Communications. None of those are going to include the many times I had to physically go down to the office and try to talk to someone who could help. All they kept telling me was that the matter was under review by the home office and upon resolution they would let me know. I am disappointed to say the least. The lady that ran the local storage facility was very nice however that doesn't help me whatsoever in recovering the cost of what I had in storage if they indeed did auction off the contents of the unit. There was never any communication indicating resolution of the payment from April nor a request for additional funds which should have come out of the debit card that I submitted in order to be up to date. Unloading in Phoenix - it's Phoenix in the summer time, it hotter than blazes outside and you park the ubox uncovered in direct sun for unloading. How about constructing some shade canopy's for gosh sakes and let the customers do their unloading under some shaded areas.John M.

Movers were > hr late, hired to move couch and bed (pushed couch thru door and ripped it). Hired for 2 hrs but on onsite just 1.5 and 30 minutes was taking off front door to get the couch in after it ripped trying to ram it thru. So basically was charged $200 to have them show up late, work an hour, and a ripped couch. No service recovery or partial refund at all :( Should NOT have been charged for full price for THISTANYA D.

It was very disappointing to reserve a unit at the location I moved to & was able to get the free month, until I got to the facility and was told, they don't do that there. Very misleading. Not to mention the unit flooded & am now told I have to move my things. Now I'm highly stressed because I don't have ppl to do that & can't afford to pay movers. You had older, medium, and newer staff together. The older staff member was training a new hire, but kept being corrected on new things by the medium staff member, like multiple access cards and such. The old one knew his stuff and was friendly enough, the medium one knowledgeable and confident, and the newest one was funnily enough trying to keep it together between the back and forth. The part that struck me as exceptional was the older one was willing to learn! He wasn't "well that's not how I do things" about stuff. The AC unit didn't work to an acceptable level , on medium fan pressure the equipment was super loud and wouldn't blow anymore cold air so it was only able to go on the low setting, for paying how much I did for the rental and fuel I'm disappointed.Evan E.

Asked male staff to check on any additional charges-there was one for an extra day but my reservation said 5/28 to 5/31. Someone even called re: truck return. There was also mileage charges but the staff fixed both-grateful. It is hard to figure out how much gas to put in, I put in too much.Candi C.

The guy working had me stop short of the line so he could get me unhooked and on my way. Total check in time was as quick as an F1 pit stop!Scott K.
The items in the metal/fiberglass container arrived intact. The items in the wooden box arrived like a tossed salad. It's like the forklift drivers played hackysack with the box. So many items were broken. U-Haul took the opportunity when I added an additional box to jack up the shipment rates. These new rates were not told to me when I ordered the second box. It was a $600 shock (instead of approximately $2400, it was nearly $3000) and I was only told about it after my boxes were picked up. I was told I wouldn't get my boxes delivered until I paid. So basically my boxes were held for ransom. When I called to talk to uhaul the manager or director of transportation, Ross, he basically lied to me saying he would note in my account not to charge my card until I called the destination site and told them I was ready to pay. When I called the destination site (OKC) I was told there was no note about anything. I feel taken advantage of, manipulated, put into a situation where I was helpless to do anything about it, and when I was told it would be noted in my account, that wasn't even done. And then my goods arrived crushed and broken. I will never ever use U-Haul again. I would rather pay twice the price than to use U-Haul again. And I will never recommend U-Haul again. As a side note, the delivery ladies were super friendly.VIKKI D.

I used the facility for a year and a half and never ran into a major problem. The staff was very helpful and primarily friendly. The computer software used is not very reliable and I did run into some issues. However this is not a reflection on the staff. They did everything within their power to circumvent the system issues. I didn't even get a chance to use the unit. I didn't even move my stuff in yet and you canceled me. I hadn't moved in yet and you send me a message that because I didn't have anything in my unit, you were canceling me. I called and left a message to please don't cancel, I will be placing items there....you canceled me anyway. Very poor organization. I would never recommend you. Now, I don't have aMetzger. I purchased the rental spot online on Saturday, when I got to the location the associate was super helpful with explaining how to access the building during business hours and outside of business hours. A lock wasn't in my room so he told me to swing back down if one wasn't there. He was friendly and I didn't feel like I was an inconvenience to the associate. Didn't think I would have to enter the access code twice at both keypads, but I figured it out eventually. The first is to check in and the 2nd is to open the door.
