My husband John William's reserved the truck in Eugene OR for our U BOX and we ended up paying extra milage and went out of our way to a different location because of the online and phone service. We were given misinformation many times and were told the truck was not available at the same location as our u box so we had to go out of our way to another location, which we paid extra milage for, and then were told it would have a hitch, which it did not. It was only when we took the truck to our u box location did they tell us that the online system is always wrong and we had to call them directly. We were not very happy about that because we trusted the online system and your phone system, as we should have. We feel we should be reimbursed for that mileage, as it was not our fault and did not want that location.

U-Haul all ready is a good experience. Of course we could always use a smaller fee.

After hours of work lifting and moving furniture (the reason many people rent U Haul Trucks) this location forced me (by leaving no other options) to check-in my own truck using an app. This included doing many tasks that U Haul employees were previously responsible for - data entry, taking photographs, and navigating through many electronic pages (on my cell phone) which was painfully slow. Let's face it, your company now requires paying customers to do the work of a U Haul employees. The check in process took time and was not easy. Of course the money you saved by not having to pay someone to do these tasks means larger investor profits. I am highly offended that you think you can make me essentially work for U-Haul to increase your profits. Well, I am not stupid and will not let you force me to work for you. For this reason I will never rent from U-Haul again. I have already located suitable Ryder and Penske locations near my house. I believe they still understand the principles of customer service, and will not make me do work their employees should and have always done. Shame on you U-Haul.

I tried to return the truck with the online steps. Web site wouldn't let me take photos of the truck. I was to return it at 8 but location didn't open until 9. Employee wasn't very helpful or friendly.

I made a reservation that allowed for mobile pick up and drop off. The WiFi at this location was not working when I arrived. I tried with multiple devices. I then waited in line at the store for 40 minutes. When I got to the front of the line and told the person helping me, who was wearing a shirt that said “Britney - owner,” admitted that the WiFi “sometimes doesn’t work.” She explained that I would need to use the mobile check in when I bring the uhaul back, because they would be closed. I expressed concern about not being able to use the mobile check in, since it wasn’t working at the time and the owner admitted it didn’t always work, she explained that as long as I logged in and started the process, uhaul would be able to see that I had tried to log in and not charge me the $20 after hours service fee for not using mobile check in. Sure enough, the WiFi did not work when I went to return the vehicle. I started uploading pictures of the vehicle and I lost the signal. Relying on her representation that if I had logged in and started the process I would be fine, I left the vehicle. Uhaul then charged me the $20 service fee (subsequently refunded, but a phone call I should not have had to make). Bottom line: this location should absolutely not be allowed to advertise that they have mobile pick up and drop off because it does not work and the owner knows it does not work. Further, uhaul should not be charging people for not being able to access the mobile drop off, because the Concord office does not have WiFi good enough to support it. Not a good business model. I wonder how many other people behind me who were also struggling to use the WiFi were charged for not being able to access a service that this location doesn’t actually offer.

They don’t answer the phone. I had the central office email them and ask them to call me; they never did. I ended up mailing them a letter to ask them to call me when I needed help. This is not okay!

Would give Excellent except for the fact that the gentlemen on, on the weekends, don't seem to be 'up to speed' on things as the women are during the week. I.E. A lock had been placed on our unit.
