Truck had s message on the onboard computer and it was that it had a small air leak. I was assured that it would have been ok and that I would have no problem with it. It turns out I had a flat tire and lost my help I had scheduled to help me move. So I had to find other people to help me creating an additional cost to me to pay for the help and the additional expense for having the truck linger

Graham H.I had my drivers license and credit cards stolen this past weekend. I was super lucky to have had an expired license on me). I think people should be able to rent with the DMV issued print out. It doesn't seem fair that someone couldn't rent if their wallet were stolen.

Jennifer A.The last time I rented the 6X12 cargo trailer there was a jack and wheel on the tongue so I could disconnect the trailer to make loading and refueling my Econoline van easier. This triler is very heavy and is difficult for me and the U-Haul employees to lift on to the ball. I had to employ a scissor jack to hold the tongue in place while I positioned my van, lift and mount because of the weight.

There was a slight mix up with the numbers on the equipment that I rented, and he took care of it immediately. I highly recommend this location as well. As I now live in chico, whenever I need a new hall, I will be going to visit with Mr Ramirez.

Dennis P.The appliance dolly was supposed to come with the U-boxes. Now I see that I was charged for it separately and for the truck that brought it to me. Also, my receipt for the U-boxes, a $6,000+ payment, is not included in the online information. The U-boxes were delivered June 22, but the online system is still asking where I would like them delivered.
Brian M.The truck was low on oil and thankfully we checked it before we drove it out of town. We took it back and they put oil in it for use and were very nice.
Darlene M.I showed up on time to pickup the trailer I reserved online. The first man who greeted me said they had some "logistic issue" the trailer was not yet returned and made me wait. My wife then went to a different person at the counter who helped her right away - no "logistical issue." The only difference was that I was wearing a mask and my wife was not. When I went outside there were multiple trailers available. So no logistical issue that I could discern - just harassment of a customer for wearing a face covering.

Gregory C.The location we rented the truck is always good. But the original location, Mark coopers landscape and storage in Oroville, was horrible. I did a mobile pickup for 8am and the truck was not available to me. I went back at 9am when they were supposed to open and no one came, I waited till 9:30am and no one ever showed. We called customer service to see what our options were and they said they moved our reservation to chico. When we got to chico, 30min away, they did not have our reservation. But luckily they're were able to accommodate us. But we had to get the truck back sooner than our original reservation and we ended up getting 2 hours later than we scheduled.

Updeep D.The concept is good the communication and follow thru from staff was terrible I have spent more than 4 hours on the phone to have issues corrected I finally submitted a claim over 5 days ago and still no one has reached out to me every time I call I have to wait from 30 minutes to an hour to even speak to someone. This move was hard enough but the ln all the problems I had made it worse.

My move took many more trips due to smaller truck size. U haul did issue a $50 credit which is appreciated but I lost 4 or 5 hours of time due to more trips to move what I heeded to move.

Christina M. | First ImpressionsI had a horrid experience: times weren't met and unclear communication. I scheduled my pod, in March, to be delivered on May 26th. Then a week before the date they told me it was unavailable and I would have to get it delivered on a different day. So I scheduled it on May 25th from 1pm to 3pm. It was delivered at 8am and I wasn't able to be there for delivery like I wanted. Then my pod was scheduled to be picked up from 1:30-3:30pm, but the truck didn't arrive until 4:45pm. I only knew when they would be there after being transferred 3 times. Then when it was on transport from Chico to Oviedo, I had no idea where it was. It was scheduled to arrive in Sanford on June 16th and then delivered to my Oviedo location on June 17th. I got a text that my pod was delayed and would be delivered to Sanford within the week. A week and a half later I had not revived an update. I called the number I was provided and no one had a clear location for my pod. Finally I was able to find out that it was at the Sanford location and I had to schedule the delivery. The people in Chico told me that the Florida location would call me to schedule the delivery, but I never got the call. It was delivered and picked up with no prior warning or notice, expect when delivered the drop off guy rang the doorbell. In the end, my pod was late, I didn't receive a refund, and I had to pay for an extra month on the pod for your mistake. I know that most of the people I worked with were trying their best but it was just ridiculous. I will never recommend the UBox service, and I am deterred from using other Uhaul services.

It was not disclosed to me that should I return the vehicle earlier than that date, I would still be charged for any unused days left on the contract. I returned the vehicle one day early, and was still charged for the day I didn't use.
SCOT M.I needed and reserved a 26 foot truck in Roseville, CA for 2days for $93 if I dropped off the Uhaul in Uba city CA. So the next day I got dropped off from Chico, Ca to Roseville U-Haul to find out They gave away my truck and had to give me a ride to a different uhaul store were I was told had the truck I needed but didn't. The only thing they had was a 20 foot truck which I felt forced to take. And Now it would be $164.00 and still would have to take it to Uba city. I had to make 2 trips instead of one which took another 2days plus all the gas....it was a complete nightmare and cost me soooooo much money I did not plan for.

When I returned it later I didn't even get out of the truck! Chico uhaul is top notch.

There are two locations at the site. All this being said, they did their best to assist me. I think the confusion is that I reserved the space online and not at the desk. They also shared that sometimes a space can be double-booked, although this did not happen to me.

However, the phone number to get a hold of U-Haul's customer service and/or to pay my monthly bill had very long wait times that lasted over an hour sometimes. U-haul needs to revamp their customer service line, in order to drastically reduce the wait time over the phone.

Was never offered any discounts or refunds for any of my inconveniences, which were many, and caused hours and hours of delay in moving. Because of lack of organization and communication I had to rent two units instead of one, which were completely across the entire storage facility making it even more inconvenient when moving and organizing my items.
Olivia F. | Overall ExperienceThe first I had was a rented cargo van totally dirty outside mud on lower half and inside both seats had long dog hair he said there was quarter tank of gas so I got in drive it down to first light smelling strong gas inside when the light and alarm told me I was low on gas stopped down at tower market on park and fair put 35.00 dollars in almost 9 galsdrove to old mall on east ave then home 1st ave west and tank was on saying I was empty. Next day got in van drove down towards the esplanade when the voice and alarm said i was low on gas. So i drove back to the uhaul place was told they just fix the gas leak will it wasnt fixed ask what they could do for me about the thirty five dollars I put in gas said I'll have to sendin that I did and what happen and I ended up with a 3/4 truck and everything was a lot better.is there anyway I can keep the truck tell mon could do hardly nothing the first two days with all the problems .please let me know thank you kathy toledo 5303212964 Toledo1932@gmail.com

Bronson said that there were supposed to be two units inside that were going to be emptied that day or the next and that he would keep my reservation open and call me as soon as they were available. I got a call that afternoon and was able to take care of the check in over the phone. I really appreciated the extra time that Bronson spent to make sure that I got a nice unit! I will always recommend this U-Haul for any moving or storage needs! Great people and pleasant experience!!
