I experienced unprofessional customer service from the manager (Ayana Howard) on both the front/back-end of this rental period. When I picked I wasn't acknowledged at all when waiting to be seen. Upon approaching the desk she was very short with me and aggressive. When I returned, I had to call due to some extra charges that I noticed on the contract. Upon speaking to her, she excused me of tilting the camera to make the gas hand look like it was less than it really was (totally baffled behind this). Mind you it was stated that the gas hand was on 1/4 a tank and she's saying I tilt it to be right under. Which was a difference of a few dollars. Like really who would do this?!!! Then, it seems that she has bad blood with the movers we used and it seemed that her frustration was more against him then with us and it was reflected in the way she handled our situation. On top of that, she told me about issues that she had with that man which was NONE of our business. I had a one-way truck scheduled and the pickup location was with this location. I cancelled and decided to go with another company. She is extremely unprofessional and I refuse to do any business here again.Veronica S.

First of all I asked for an appliance dolly a week before picking up the truck. When I got there, they didn't have one. They only had a normal dolly which made my work difficult. Then, the company's app, according to the worker switched the gas mileage when I took a picture of how much gas there was in the tank. This is a complaint that I am filing with the state of Illinois. So I had to pay more in gas then I was supposed to.KEITH H.

The workers were professional and very kind. The process was fast and efficient. The only thing I noticed was that many people called while I was there trying to rent a vehicle. No trucks were available. I guess the only improvement I can see is a larger inventory for this site.LISA L.

Very unprofessional staff. Walked in and was greeted by 1 employee, but the other employee at the desk didn't even acknowledge me. I stood by the desk for a full 20 minutes( I was the only customer) I eventually said "Is anyone going to check me in" before I was seen to. 11/4/2021 I left the Uhaul lot in a 15' truck that had both lift gate cables damaged. I didn't know this until afterbI hot to my destination andnm loaded the vehicle. I contacted the manager who begin to insist that I was the cause of the cables being damaged. She was extremely unprofessional and should not be in a management position they way she treated me. I contacted Road Side Assistance who also didn't see how the Uhaul location (staff) wasn't aware of damaged cables, but more perplexed as to why they would send the vehicle out without having it serviced by technician. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION. PRIMARILY BECAUSE THEIR MANAGER WAS OVERLY AGGRESSIVE ABOUT AN ISSUE THAT WAS THE COMPANY'S PROBLEM, YET SHE WANTED ME TO TAKE A LOSE.ANDRE S.

U-Haul's newly implemented time restrictions on daily truck rentals is unreasonable and unfair to paying customers. I have rented several trucks from U-Haul in the past, and have never, never been told that I had a time limit. Other customers were complaining about this change as well. Was the change enacted U-Haul because the rent moratorium was lifted in Illinois and/or competition with other rental companies?HENRY C.

Most of the staff were nice, especially the woman that helped my mom and I out the day I arrived. I am definitely confused on how my card that I made the reservation with was charged 7. 95. I was told when I made the reservation that my card would not be charged. Also, my mothers card was charged for damages, 68.00 for damages that I did not cause. I don't think that's cool. I didn't get a chance to upload my own photos which I did take BEFORE we even took off with the van.
