The representative that helped us was great, he backed up the truck because it was parked too close to another, he took the dolly out since we were not using it and was very helpful. To improve I would suggest that U Haul cleans the truck, it was very dirty and we had to wipe the lights off so they worked properly. Also the truck was almost empty when we picked it up so it was a hassle to have to fill it up before we could even start the move.

For the second time in a row our rental trailer was damaged and unusable. Roadside service had to come and pick up the damaged trailer (damage not evident until trailer had a load in it). We had to unload the trailer, pick up a new trailer, and then load it. In both instances the lost time could not be made up - 1. we could not take our last load to the dump; 2. we could not make an appointment to pick up apartment keys by 6pm so spent an additional night in a hotel

The price is deceptive because they charge per kilometre. which really increases the price. Be prepared to pay 2- 3 times the price that they advertise. Checking out of the system was long and not user friendly. To check out you have to take pictures of the mileage and interior of the truck, guesstimate the gas you used and the person at this location didn't show us how to use the key drop off so it took us a while to check out.

Gas tank was in empty truck was dirty and your debit machine wouldnt work ! Had to go get cash and come back!! Truck was not running well either was a horrible experience and I o ly had the truck for 1 hour!!

Everything was good except the the roll up door on the 6by12 trailor was difficult to get up.Having said that it was quite cold then.The attendant was excellent in getting me hitched up and ready to go.I will definitely rent again.

When I order a 20' truck, I'd like a 20' truck. UHaul suddenly switched me to a 26' truck, which guzzles more gas and my driver was not comfortable with. Secondly, they didn't even let me know about this switch until I called them to confirm everything. Thirdly, I was promised a newer vehicle, which apparently guzzles a lot less gas. Upon receiving the truck, sure enough, we got an old truck. Fourthly, we were quoted at approximately 350$ gas for our trip. It ended up being over 600$. Even 50-100$ is understandable, but almost twice the cost? Had I known that, I may have gone with a different company. Fifthly, I was given the wrong pick-up address. I bussed all the way from one end of town to another, then had to go to a completely different location way out of my way to pick up the truck. If they had communicated my pick-up location, that would have saved a lot of time. Moving is a very time-sensitive thing, and my helpers were all left waiting. Sixthly, the customer service is absolutely wretched. They are about as unprofessional as it gets. I was told my drop-off location was near to me, and when I called to confirm the location upon arriving, I was told to go completely out of the city to drop it off. The guy was extremely rude, and his accent was so thick, I had to ask him to repeat what he said at least 5 times per sentence. Upon dropping the vehicle off, we were given no directions as to where to park (it was late at night). I got a call the next day telling me that I parked the truck in the wrong spot, and he claimed to not have found the keys. I told him it's in the drop-off box, and he didn't seem to even understand what that was. After explaining, in very simple english, what a drop-off box is, he finally understood, but of course, he was yelling at me in a confusing accent the entire time. Now, I understand that UHaul has the best price, and that's precisely the only reason they get any business at all, but they should really learn customer service. Respect goes a long way. I do not recommend this service at all, and honestly, it's worth it to pay extra for a different company. Words cannot even begin to express how ridiculous my experience was.

Staff were rude, dismissive and I had nothing but a run around on return. Drop box was not identified to me and I had to make repeated trips back to the shop because I couldn't leave the key anywhere.

The location i went Is not organized. When i went there to pick up the truck at 9am the attendant doesn't know where the keys are..i waited there for 15mins and then another person came in to return the keys she was pissed because she cant return the keys because no one is around the store it so happened that the keys she is returning is the key that the attendant is looking for

Easy and simple pick up and drop off. No issues. Person at front desk was pleasant. I note a few days later that the authorization charge was amended to the actual amount owing and charged to my credit card. All around a perfectly good experience.

Amazing work ethic shines from those in charge here. The pick-up was swift and smooth, and the vehicle itself was in immaculate condition. There was real pride of ownership here. I have rented many times in many countries from various companies, but this was an experience that was one-of-a-kind. Thanks, 344 Dufferin location! and thanks, U-Haul! You have great people working for you.

The employee was visibly and verbally angry. Swore several times in front of customers. I was also told that I could pick up the truck after hours. When I logged into the website to complete the check-in there was no clear next step for getting the code I needed to unlock the key box. Could not find any instructions on the website. The employee did not know how to do it either.

My trailer was broken on the rear axle I had to tie it up just to tow it back to the location safely. Clearly wasnt this first time this trailer had this problem talking with the guy in the store very disappointed in the fact I got an non road ready trailer as a rental that I paid for

Advise customers on how to secure the load to the rails inside the truck. Living 500 miles away from the nearest u haul, I had to make my own slings.

Not the best experience I've had at this location. Despite the fact that I updated reservation information 48 hours prior and then waiting on hold for over 20 minutes the day before to confirm my time change, I did not get the equipment at the appropriate time. I booked for 8:30 AM (the store doesn't open till 9) and arrived approx. 8:45. I was forced to wait until the store opened, and was served only at the insistence of another customer who summoned the attendant in from outside as he was prepping equipment, well after store opening time. Once the attendant arrived, he was cordial. The equipment was clean and adequate. Unfortunately, a series of uncontrollable delays caused my late return of the truck and, while visibly annoyed, the attendant was courteous. Just not a great positive experience.

I love the U-Haul service, and I will use it as much as I can. However, the person who assisted me today was very rude. I asked him assistance because the system was taking a while to approve the pick up, and this person told me "I guess you need to read". Furthermore, he was very angry all the time and at the end he follow me until the truck and he slapped strongly the door hitting my left elbow. I felt very offended by him today.

The $19.95 price is misleading!!!!!! I paid $125.00 plus gas which is a total RIP off. I didnt even have the vehicle 24 hours. Drove the van about a total of 2 hours. I will not go to UHAUL again, and I will let everyone know how high the rates are for less than 1 day. Not only that, the staff was late and showed up at 9:10 and had 5 people waiting outside!

After I rented I was sent to three locations before I could get what I ordered. This location was great but 45 minutes out of the way from my house so I could not get all my work done that I wanted in time to get the trailer back

location was closed when your website said open for returns. The employee who I encountered on site prior to opening was annoyed with me for asking for his advice. The center did process the return and notify me via email after I contacted your call centre. The only positive is your staff at your call centers who were professional and polite. I will not use or recomend your services in the future.

The staff at the facility was very helpful in getting a vehicle. The vehicle type we booked was not available and he had to make adjustments in order for us to get a vehicle. It's really not pleasant to expect a vehicle and then be told to drive something else. This could lead to making mistakes and endangering lives. If the vehicle will not be available, it's better to be told ahead of time so that I can decide what to do before that not at the last minute. Good service though by the representative anyways. He was very helpful

I picked up the U Haul trailer (booked for 24 hrs) on May 3rd in Winnipeg - picked it up at 1 PM. I mentioned that I may get all the items moved the first day and asked when the location closed. The location closed at 5 pm but was told I could drop it off after hrs if I was done with the trailer. I dropped the 5x 8 trailer back at original location, about 6 PM , May 3rd. I ended up getting billed for an additional 24 hrs. Why ?

This location was out of my way.Originally I reserved 5by8 trailer at u haul location closer to my Home,but was not available. Next time I would like to rent at location that is closer to my house and I also like the hours of operation at this location.

Another location to drop off that was far out of the way, I tried to change to a nearer location, but was asked if I could keep this one because another person was using the vehicle that day. I am new to the area and was trying to find the closest location.

When I reserved the trailer months in advance, the website gave me a location to pick up the trailer. It wasn't until the day before I was scheduled to pick it up that I received a phone call telling me I'd have to pick it up an hour and a half later than I had planned for. This really put a damper on my plans. Next, when I had arrived to pick it up, I checked in on the website and it told me to pick up the trailer at a different location. I had to drive 20 minutes to get there and pick it up. Luckily, the people there were quick. All this headache because of issues with the website!

Truck had minor issues that needed repairs to passenger and driver doors. No issues on pickup or dropoff, just needed to sign. Clerk was helpful.
