I've done this 2 Summers in a row and its saved my sanity! I'm moving 2 students at the same time and have a smaller home. I rent the truck the night before, move out and if you rent the storage, its right on the same site as the truck rental/return .I mean, right around the corner!! Plus, if you rent a truck and reserve storage, you get a free month of storage. Never an issue. Staff is super friendly. Disclaimer: Regarding my rental, I'm moving students locally, but either way still a great deal!

Terri S. | First ImpressionsCustomer service was lacking, but I'm not sure if it was the location or the U-Haul policies. I tried to switch payment methods, from my card to my daughter's and they stated that it would need done over the phone. I missed a vehicle verification text, as I was not told that I would receive a text, and the link expired within 10 minutes. The text stated if this link could not be accessed, to call customer service. I did, and they stated the link could not be reinstated. It would have allowed me to upload pictures of any damage, and review the contract. My daughter tried via the phone, and was told it could not be done, but that it could be done via uhaul.com/share. When returning the vehicle, the uhaul.com/share site would not allow me to upload photos of the odometer/fuel gauge, and therefore, I could not use the uhaul.com/share app to return the vehicle, and make changes. Called customer service (9:30PM), and 15 minutes later, I was connected and was told that notes would be put in my file to call me at 8:00AM to resolve the billing issue. I received no call, and when my receipt showed up, there was a $20.00 fee for insurance, which I did not need. I contacted customer service about this, and they routed me to this branch, where the general manager told me that billing had gone through, and there was nothing he could do to change the payment method or the insurance charge. I will say that I missed the mistake on the insurance charge, but might have caught it if I knew there was a verification text that needed done immediately. I saw the text about 20 minutes later, when I returned to my home and looked at my phone. Got back to customer service, and finally found an agent that was helpful in putting in a charge dispute claim. I'm now in a thee day waiting period for resolution. The vehicle itself was adequate for the job. Only issue was a dome light switch was detached from the overhead console. This was long. The issues I had stem from system inflexibility with simple things like changing payment methods, and mobile return of vehicles. I spent nearly as much time dealing with customer service, or uhaul.com/share issues as I did actually driving the vehicle, approximately 2-2.5 hours on the phone attempting to resolve billing and uhaul.com/share issues. I either ran into agents that couldn't help me, because the vehicle had to be returned to process changes through uhaul.com/share, which didn't work, or I got stonewalled because someone didn't follow notes in my file.
jeffery M.When I got home from the hitch installation I found that one of the installation bolts for the hitch was so loose that I could turn it by hand. I tried to tighten it and seems that they had stripped out the thread.

David C.the safety chains need to be shortened. there is no need for them to be so long that they have to twist them down to a usable length. and the flat blade connector should be longer. so they do not have to get an extender. Cable. less connections + less problems.

And when I called your customer service dept all I received was hostility and rude comments. Will never spend another nickel with uhaul as long as I live. Promise

Joseph P.I was 3 plus hours early had to go inside because no one was available outside and they had dozens of vehicles not processed in outside. They took me outside and unhooked the trailer and said all was good and I would get an email conformation. I got an email about 5 1/2 hours later and they charged me for an extra day after hours drop off fee etc. I called the local store and they said they understood but couldn't help me. They forwarded my phone call to someone else. That is stupid. That store is the only one that new what happened not someone they transferred me too. Now i need to wait for a credit. Very dis satisfied.

Steffan R.While I like the convenience and selection at this location, I was extremely disappointed upon picking up my trailer this time to find it filled with nuts, bolts, screws, and nails. These are very costly items when it punctures a tire, etc. I was also disappointed this time around because none of my online registration information saved when I went to pick up the trailer. I always do the online portion to save time at pickup, but this time I spent a considerable about of time regiving all the information that should have already been uploaded. This was my first bad experience I ever had and I have been renting from you for quite some time now.

Judi S.1st. I had to call another uhaul in the area because no one opened this uhaul at the posted time (9am). Your tool free customer service doesn't have a real,person to speak with (strike 2) 2nd. When you have a reservation at a certain time have someone there to have it ready! 3. I rented a uhaul two weeks ago. When I went in with my name and phone number, all my prior information popped for him. I am on file. I am a good customer. When the guy finally showed up 30 minutes late he had to go through the entire process. I asked why I wasn't I. The system like i was 2 weeks ago? We already had 5 people in line due to the store not opening on time! Now I'm up to 45 minutes late to get all the info you should already have on file since I use that store a lot! (Strike 3) This type of business is inexcusable!!! Unfortunately you are the only business in the area so we are stuck with you! I did talk to the guy who did open up when I returned my rented truck. He apologized for the hold up this morning. He said the person scheduled to work never called if or came in. He said he got a call after I talked to the store in Chippewa. 4. If I was in charge, I'd be making some big changes in protocol, management and customer service. What good is having customer service if you can't get to speak to someone about problems? Thankfully the other store was open and could make phone calls! I would like more than an apology! My time is just as important as the next! You owe at least 5 customers for their time having to wait! So what's in it for us? We jump through hoops … we have to put gas in that we use, we have to inspect the vehicle before we take it, we have to return i5 in pristine condition! I got the exact same truck as I had 2 weeks ago. I told them the problems with the drivers side door being hard to close, i told them about about the passenger side mirrors not being able to adjust. Nothing was fine then and I will figure it won't get done now. Just because you're the only game in town doesn't mean can skip quality vehicles or good customer service! How about stepping your game! If I had a choice of truck rentals I'd change for sure, u5 for now I am stuck with uhaul
James B.The vehicle still had sticky residue on the floor, and trash from the last customer. It smelled of Marijuana, and had Marijuana residue in the vehicle. I didn't smell it at first, but after I left the location and turned on the front defrosters the smell was overwhelming. Sadly I was on a time crunch, and couldn't turn around to ask for a new vehicle. I understand this is not an employee issue, so much as a terrible customer issue. You can always change cabin filters, use a vacuum and scrub the the inside of the vehicle. That's why its 4/5 and not 5.

The only suggestion that I have is when it comes to moving blanket rental, I rented more moving blankets than I needed. I had two dozen unopened moving blankets left and thought it would make sense if I could be refunded for what I didn't use. They are packaged so the u opened package is proof that o in fact did not use them. Other than the policy of no refund for unused items, everything else was great.

If it wasn't for this area the facility would be great. You just need a trash bin outside otherwise people throw gross item there and I'm afraid it will attract bugs to nearby units.

Douglas S.Getting the initial lock off the storage unit was a longer process than I anticipated. I arrived at unit and tried to call in to our direct location so that I could have a rep meet me at unit to take the initial lock off. On the phone the automation said all reps were busy. When I walked into the store - there were no customers and rep was at the desk. They were helpful- but it was the process of initially getting into the storage unit was not smooth.

I was told by staff to contact RepWest insurance to file a claim. Now Repwest is requesting me to have someone come to my home to inspect / estimate damages. This I'm sure will be a major inconvenience, and on top of that I'm told the original value of the furniture will be depreciated. Beyond frustrated since I paid for ("climate controlled storage"). The reviews give a very accurate experience. Any time we came to our unit the bathroom was always dirty and had no toilet paper. The floors were never swept. We came in a day before the unit was due for payment to move everything to my mother in law's because coming here every time and not seeing the place clean was troubling. We notified the staff that we would be out that night (the 9th) so they could start the move out process. The following morning I get an email that has a price for the next month. When I call to verify that we had been checked out of the unit Chris Disney had a massive attitude. Told me to just ignore the part where it said covered until 9/9/22. He then hung up on me. I have never met a more unprofessional staff at a uhaul location. 95% of the time we went in to the office area no one would say hello, look up from their phones or attempt to make eye contact with us. If ever asked I would tell anyone to avoid this location at all costs.

kim m. | First ImpressionsOnly big issue I had was the website. It stated that your 5x10x8 can hold a 1 to 2 bedroom house up to 1200sqft. So when I reserved it and went yesterday to pay. We looked in and it was as big as a closet. The demo there on site there stated a studio or 1bdroom up to 1200sqft. Which is not even possible for how small it is. Uhaul should probably reevaluate the sizes so customers are not upset when they see it is much smaller than stated. Thank goodness for the staff member who help me and my husband fix this issue.

Gerren B. | First ImpressionsWe rented 2 storage units. We were not charged rent until the end of the month for the first unit, but had to pay in advance for the second unit. When we started the second unit, the GM (Nick Cumpston) told us that he would take off the lock the same day because we were coming later to bring our possessions. The lock was not removed that day or for almost 2 weeks. We paid extra for the 24 hour access and there were several times that we were not able to enter the facility. We moved out of the first unit relatively easily. We moved out of the second unit on our due date. But because the website states that rent is past due on the due date, we were not able to complete the online move out. The following day we received an email saying that our rent was past due. We replied to that email stating the situation with the website. We received a reply from Nick Cumpston stating that he would take care of the move out process. For almost 2 weeks we were receiving phone calls, texts messages and emails about the delinquency of our bill. Then we received an email stating that there was going to be a lien enstated because of said delinquency. We called the office and had to explain the situation again before the unit was finally closed out. We will NOT use this facility again, nor recommend this to anyone.
