It smelled like cigarettes in there pretty bad and it was a fairly new truck. I'd tell people no smoking or charge extra if they do. Just a thought.

David H.We were given a filthy truck, the truck was in major disrepair. It was so loud and the exhaust fumes were a major safety hazard. When picking up a truck from UHaul, I would expect them to give us a truck that does not have any issues, this is why we rent from Uhaul. But this time will be our last. When I dropped off the truck at our location, the drop of gentleman said they should have never given you this truck. The drop off location said they will likely be taking it out of service.

Rnita R.When I went to return the truck, there were two employees servicing customers. Both had a long line waiting to be serviced. One of the employees instructed me to leave the keys on the seat and an email would be sent to me with the final cost. It has been three days and I have not received any communication from U-Haul. I am hoping I did not get charged for any damages that I did not do. One should not have to contact your credit card provider to determine how much the charges were.

I rent these trucks literally all the time 3 or for days a week and i NEVER bring back dirty. Tell this to EDDY and he acts like he dont hear me, are you that money hungry that you have to charge me a 25 cleaning fee?? Like i said i rent these trucks all the time and never bring back dirty. Ask him to reverse it and its a no, so i say I'll take my buisness somewhere else and EDDY like thats fine take your buisness somewhere else. REALLY OVER $25 UNBELIEVABLE. I spend a lot of $ with yall and this is what your company is on.

Jimmy N.When I rented the Cargo Van the gas ⛽ gauge was not on full, however I was told it was alright, but when I returned it I had to put gas in and had to fill it and pay for the person before me who did not fill the hauge to the full mark. I feel I was cheated and had to pay for someone else. Gas is expensive.

STEVEN F.Staff not organized and do not communicate with each other. My Ubox was supposed to be outside and ready to start loading by 9am. I got there at 11 and it had never been pulled or put outside. I had requested 2 empty Uboxes to load onsite. When I requested the 2nd Ubox to be pulled for loading, they brought out one of my other ones that I had already loaded an already had a lock on it. This caused us to have to rush to get everything done on time before the facility closed.
Janelle T.The light check was good as a fuse was needed in the truck for the tow dolly lights so that was good check. Just don't assume the customer can drive it up, strap it on, & secure it himself without doing it before. I did get assistance though and appreciate it as that ALWAYS how it should be done!! Also I prefilled data online yet it seemed like I was going through the whole process again in office unnecessarily so that can be simplified and cleaned up. I don't mind updates if needed but it ultimately created confusion to Uhaul corporate who had 2 droff off locations which delayed the close out after the fact. It worked for me as the system improved recently... but picking up the tow dolly after loading the truck the next day should NOT be an issue for anyone or with paperwork especially when moving alone.
Lance H.Customer service was amazing. Long story short I reserved two trailers turned out one of my vehicles had an electric issue with trailers plug. Your staff found one way 15ft truck and car carrier on March 30th..I was able to close on my home have truck packed up and on road April 1st.

Josh K.On the day I went in to pick up the uhaul and put stuff in the storage. The lady who was serving was very aggressive and angry at the person who went to help get the uhaul and also aggressive and angry at me. When I approached her about it she said she was joking at the staff, then she began angrier and canceled my service. Because I didn't have enough time to search for another uhaul location, I decided to retake the storage and uhaul. On the next day, when I went to the storage to put stuff in it, the door couldn't open. Then I went to the staff to get help from them but, no one was available to help me to open the storage door in that cold and freezing weather, so I returned all the stuff that were in the car. Another thing was the car manage. From 9890 central Ave. to 698 Highland Tril was 10miles but the manage they entered was 20 miles.

Jon E. | Online Move InMy experience with the owner of the Blaine location over what should have been a simple billing issue was probably the worst experience I've ever had with a business. I wasn't able to even fully explain the situation I was seeing with multiple credit card charges/double billing before breach of contract and auctioning my items were mentioned, and further efforts to try and actually explain the situation were met with an aggressive tone, immediately cutting me off mid sentence and not allowing me to explain the full situation. This experience is THE specific reason I moved out of both storage units we had rented. We now have a storage unit with another company, and will not be using uhaul in the future for our storage or moving needs after this experience.

Told to wait > 30 minutes for locksmith (and I paid $50) and when he did not show employee drove to storage unit and cut off lock in 5 minutes. Should be standard offering and who kept my $50. Some employees to busy to be pleasant or helpful. Customers bother them. Days after we called to verify they knew we were out of the unit, we still got a e-mail for a bill to continue. Need to get your act together. Good: Several employees we pleasant, helpful and knew what they were doing. Overall I would use U-Haul again. Just have to be watchful.

Personal things caused me to fall behind on my storage and I apologize and never was my intention to bail or not pay for my storage but very disappointed with how the storage units were not taken care of. When I have the funds, I do plan to pay my debts but right now, I am barely making ends meet. Also did not like the attitude of the manager as she was rude and disrespectful.

stephanie m. | Overall ExperienceIt may seem weird I would give a poor experience when all the bullet points say yes, but here is the deal, was the staff friendly, yes, but it took four people to get the simplest thing done, the first gentlemen was very friendly, but couldn't do one thing right, the second person helped him a little, then walked away leaving him once again to struggle, a third person joined the struggle, but he too left when things got too complicated, finally it took one young man to take over and complete the task of taking my online reservation to rent a storage and make it happen, but this poor soul was running the entire show at this facility, it was like he was the only person that could get anything done right. Even after he had completed my transaction, the card he gave me wouldn't open the gate, and I had to wait and additional 15 minutes just to interrupt the young man who was helping someone else and tell him my card wouldn't open the gate. It took me 1 hour and 20 minutes from the time I got there to the time I left for me to drop off an air compressor into storage. So painful.

Very difficult to get moved out of storage in a timely manner when the best time to move is evening / nite time hours and you can't get in to your unit. JERRY M. | Overall ExperienceThe staff was great; always friendly and helpful. We had three units for approx 9 months; spanning summer through spring. We were storing all our personal belonging from our home after we sold our home and were looking for a new one. All three units were outside. Unit One's plastic sheeting along the ceiling was 'flaking' and left everything in that unit extremely dirty. Unit Two had water on the floor at one point. We are assuming from the ceiling?? It caused an excess of humidity which ruined several items and required lots and lots of extra cleaning. For example, I had a Rock Salt lamp that sweated and left a salt residue all over the box it was in. Premium boxes that were supposed to last for several moves, caved in on themselves due to the humidity resulting in boxes we couldn't restack when moving, and damaged items. Unit Three had mice issues. Everything had to be sanitized; they climbed into the holes that you use to carry the boxes and had feces in 95% of the boxes. This unit housed all of our kitchen items, so probably had food smells which I'm sure attracted them as well. I spent weeks sanitizing every item I could, and threw away what I couldn't... that included linens, kitchen electronics, furniture, etc. We lost a lot of things. One thing to note is this unit is on the outside of the property which is next to a tree line, so we are assuming that is why we had issues with that one. We opted to go with the outside units because we wanted to save money. We have never used storage before and thought it would be fine. We were wrong. If we have to move again, we would never consider this as a viable option. That being said, the staff was great and very helpful.
