I know my expectations should be low, but my truck was almost undrivable. I could feel all 160k miles of abuse. Severely underpowered, windows leaking, steering numb and loose, cargo door was hard to open. It's a little scary you send these out to normal drivers. No fault to the staff at the location, they were very helpful and seem to run a good clean operation. But corporate, you need to take better care of your trucks.Nathan B.

Store was not busy. Only one inexperience front desk person who could not work the rental program. At least two employees not engaging customers in-line. Unhooked my own trailer and had to wait to tell staff what I did and that the trailer was left block a lane. Check out guy in the morning was a great and responsive.chad L.
The truck I was provides had a 1/4 tank of gas and would not start. They got me another truck which had a full tank of gas but the lift gate was frozen shut. They had to get a crowbar to pry it open. This all put me behind schedule. I won't be using this location anymore.Kevin M.

I setup mobile pickup. When i arrived the location did not setup vehicle even though I was told it was good to go. I hired movers to help and had to pay them for another hour of time while they waited for me to go to another location to get a different truck. I was then told i would be given a credit for the trouble and never received it. On top of that, the service was lacking. Very frustrating and disappointing experience. . My Check In was like everyone was trying to push it off to another person. Redish beard, mid 20's and he was just trying to punch out and go home, like I was bothering him.My check out was OK. I went in and the guy I dealt with said he was in training and nobody else was around, I backed in the trailer to the same spot where I picked it up and unhooked it myself and your trainee said he would send someone out to help and look at the trailer. I needed to rent a trailer and university ave did not have them dug out and ready. I had to go to como, then to blaine to get a trailer. The 800 # agent, como staff and blaine helped me alot.I could have saved about two hours time if the trailer had been dug out at university and ready to rent. You probaly need to hire so additional staff because after 18 inches of snow, you need people to go clear snow from the yards.THOMAS C.

I think it's absolutely ridiculous to advertise â€œas low as $19.95â€ when it is impossible unless you don't leave the parking lot. A few hours of moving some bigger items cost me $135 and that isn't including the fuel. Lesson learned and next time I'll just borrow a friends truck.Heather S.

I rented a 9 foot van for use with a move. It was a snowy day so roads could be slippery. The van ran great and was what we needed, however I started with a half tank of gas and given the slippery conditions the van would have driven easier with a full tank. A lesson learned for the future. The staff at Blaine are excellent and do an outstanding job.DAVID L.

Charged me 10.00 for 2 gal of gas when I filled it until it was overflowing. According to this location I drove an extra 67 miles?? And is charging me for that as well mytrip was 635 miles I paid for 650 miles just incase I go a little over, but 717 miles?? An extra 67 miles? I'm not paying for the so called "2 gal" of gas.... as for milage it's hard to argue with numbers but I took no side trips? I should only owe 1 extra day of rental that's it.....David B.

Everytime I use this location, there's a hiccup with the billing or getting the receipt or something. This time they didn't email me the receipt - "extra letter in the email address". Also they billed me for 2 days when it was clearly one. Coincidence that they overbill and make a mistake in the email address for the receipt? Two phone calls to fix. When I first dropped my trailer off, there were 4 men working inside, standing around and seemingly just talking to each other. At first I pulled in, followed the signs to where it was indicated â€œequipment drop offâ€ and â€œwait here and someone will come out to helpâ€. I waited and nobody came, so I went inside to find the workers as previously described. Talking with one who spoke first to me, I explained I needed to return a 12x6 enclosed trailer. He replied that I need to pull it around to another side of the building, and â€œjust leave it there and we'll check it in laterâ€. I explained kindly but directly, â€œno, I would like it checked in and with a receipt to show it's off my books nowâ€. This spurred the man to action and he got up to check in the trailer that I had rented. He was professional about it, but it seemed weird at first what he was telling me to do and that I had to insist on having basic work done.dan F.

On the day I went in to pick up the uhaul and put stuff in the storage. The lady who was serving was very aggressive and angry at the person who went to help get the uhaul and also aggressive and angry at me. When I approached her about it she said she was joking at the staff, then she began angrier and canceled my service. Because I didn't have enough time to search for another uhaul location, I decided to retake the storage and uhaul. On the next day, when I went to the storage to put stuff in it, the door couldn't open. Then I went to the staff to get help from them but, no one was available to help me to open the storage door in that cold and freezing weather, so I returned all the stuff that were in the car. My experience with the owner of the Blaine location over what should have been a simple billing issue was probably the worst experience I've ever had with a business. I wasn't able to even fully explain the situation I was seeing with multiple credit card charges/double billing before breach of contract and auctioning my items were mentioned, and further efforts to try and actually explain the situation were met with an aggressive tone, immediately cutting me off mid sentence and not allowing me to explain the full situation. This experience is THE specific reason I moved out of both storage units we had rented. Bad: Key card never worked so just had to push button until someone opened it. Told to wait > 30 minutes for locksmith (and I paid $50) and when he did not show employee drove to storage unit and cut off lock in 5 minutes. Should be standard offering and who kept my $50. Some employees to busy to be pleasant or helpful. Customers bother them. Days after we called to verify they knew we were out of the unit, we still got a e-mail for a bill to continue. Most of my items were damaged and had rat poop and dead rats in my storage. Even though that wasnt the big reason I couldnt pay for the storage units, it was very disgusting and did make me very angry. Personal things caused me to fall behind on my storage and I apologize and never was my intention to bail or not pay for my storage but very disappointed with how the storage units were not taken care of. When I have the funds, I do plan to pay my debts but right now, I am barely making ends meet. It may seem weird I would give a poor experience when all the bullet points say yes, but here is the deal, was the staff friendly, yes, but it took four people to get the simplest thing done, the first gentlemen was very friendly, but couldn't do one thing right, the second person helped him a little, then walked away leaving him once again to struggle, a third person joined the struggle, but he too left when things got too complicated, finally it took one young man to take over and complete the task of taking my online reservation to rent a storage and make it happen, but this poor soul was running the entire show at this facility, it was like he was the only person that could get anything done right. Even after he had completed my transaction, the card he gave me wouldn't open the gate, and I had to wait and additional 15 minutes just to interrupt the young man who was helping someone else and tell him my card wouldn't open the gate. Rented in march, had an accident 2 days later, so I never set 1 foot into the unit. It sat empty. So I went yesterday to close account and asked for a receipt to close account. Walked away without. Got yelled at saying it would be emailed. I also was required to purchase a u haul lock which I removed and tried to return in original packaging. I don't know what to say. My 24hr access didn't seem to ever work the last 3 month which made it impossible for me many times. Moving out could have been done on time had my gate access card worked. Very difficult to get moved out of storage in a timely manner when the best time to move is evening / nite time hours and you can't get in to your unit. The staff was great; always friendly and helpful. We had three units for approx 9 months; spanning summer through spring. We were storing all our personal belonging from our home after we sold our home and were looking for a new one. All three units were outside. Unit One's plastic sheeting along the ceiling was 'flaking' and left everything in that unit extremely dirty. Unit Two had water on the floor at one point. We are assuming from the ceiling?? It caused an excess of humidity which ruined several items and required lots and lots of extra cleaning. For example, I had a Rock Salt lamp that sweated and left a salt residue all over the box it was in. Premium boxes that were supposed to last for several moves, caved in on themselves due to the humidity resulting in boxes we couldn't restack when moving, and damaged items. Unit Three had mice issues. Everything had to be sanitized; they climbed into the holes that you use to carry the boxes and had feces in 95% of the boxes. This unit housed all of our kitchen items, so probably had food smells which I'm sure attracted them as well. I spent weeks sanitizing every item I could, and threw away what I couldn't... that included linens, kitchen electronics, furniture, etc. We lost a lot of things. One thing to note is this unit is on the outside of the property which is next to a tree line, so we are assuming that is why we had issues with that one. We opted to go with the outside units because we wanted to save money. We have never used storage before and thought it would be fine. We were wrong. If we have to move again, we would never consider this as a viable option. That being said, the staff was great and very helpful.Alison S. | Overall Experience
