The call centers or back up customer service reps who are picking up these calls for the company need to be able to relay information that's not conflicting when we get to the store.

The only problem I have is being put on hold for 25 minutes when calling for help! Not once but twice! Your App is a joke, after creating account just kept showing i had no order or reservation. When we got ready to return truck we had to change locations 3 times because app wouldn't work. Finally had to take it to one where somebody could check us in.

I was lied to by more than one person. The manager has poor customer relation skills. The store is understaffed. This is not the first time that I have had difficulty renting with this particular location. You have lost my trust and confidence as a customer.

Front desk clerk was not knowledgeable of the store. I had no way of retrieving the text message to take picture of I.D. she was unable to send it to me. And said she did not know how to use the picture taking system in store. She advised me she worked at the call center and manager was in a meeting. I waited for txt msg for over 45 mins, Still no txt. She gave me the number to call customer service which by the way was the wrong number. Customer service scheduled my reservation and I went in store and after 1 hr and 30 mins I got the Uhual. She did not know how to use the register either. Service was awful.

It’s a wonderful convenience to be able to rent a truck and store at the same location. I would recommend UHaul on Valley Avenue in Birmingham. Moving is awful but UHaul made it better.

They did not have the size truck that I reserved online ahead of time. I scheduled for 8:30, yet when I got there they had said it was 9:30. I had a text confirming 8:30. The gentleman at the counter of the second location they sent me to didn't look at me once until I left, even when he acknowledged me when I approached him. They had me drive back and forth between two locations twice in order to obtain both truck and tow dolly. This all set me back almost 3 hours on my departure, causing me to arrive to my new apartment at 12:30 am. I don't say all this to be a cry baby. Simply that there is much room for improvement and hopefully help you all: having the vehicle I requested or informing me that you don't have it (ahead of time), proper guest interaction for a business, providing discounts or something when there are large mistakes that set the guest back. I understand mistakes happen. If U-haul would have attempted to make up for these hiccups I might have been a loyal customer. The way that it was handled cause me to not want to use this company unless I have too. However, the gentleman at the first location that I had to drive back to was very helpful and got me on the road as efficiently as he could even though the business itself was not prepared for my rental! I don't remember his name sadly.

My unit was on the back side adjacent to woods. It was a bit spooky to go back there when nobody was in the building, but I open carry for extra protection, so we had no problems.

I won't rent from u-haul again. I rented less than 24 hours. I drove 204 miles and my bill was $133.00. I could have rented from Enterprise, they would have picked me up, I would have had unlimited mileage and my bill would have been $40-50. I did not understand the billing structure - I saw $19.95 per day and jumped on it. No problems with the equipment, location or personnel - all that was great. I just think it was terribly overpriced.

Contract 29528883 was for 9am pickup. Guy showed up at 9:50 am With no explanation. I got put behind others who Had pick up time between 9 and 10. I got the trailer at 10:22, putting me and my helpers behind schedule. Terrible customer service.

This location was 45 minutes late opening up on Sunday December 15, 2019 on my return of the trailer. I was there 15 minutes early because I had an appointment. We had to call the GM and there was 6 customers outside waiting.

The truck was disgusting!!!! There was sticky stuff throughout the cab and on the steering wheel. The truck looked liked it hadn't been cleaned in ages. Also, the guy with the dreads who assisted me was rude. They did not have the dolly we requested in for or move so we had to be charged an additional amount. This is the worse U-Haul experience and place I have ever been too.

I reserved a rental earlier in the day in person for 24hrs. When I returned to pick up the truck, I was told that my reservation had been changed by dispatch for only a 12hr truck. Inconvenience and subpar customer service was the game for this transaction. Would not recommend.

The truck that was given was out dated and was not acting right. More so just needs more up to date trucks also the truck didn’t have gas in it when we received it and so we got stuck at one point because the uhaul wasn’t cranking up.

26 feet uhaul is huge. Originally I was to rent a 20ft truck but due to scheduling conflict uhaul upgraded me to the 26ft truck. However from driving it I will say that unless needed don't use a 26ft truck. Its huge and cumbersome and difficult to maneuver.

Hire people with some since and respect, training in custom service, it was a unpleasant experience,as a matter of fact it was a disaster very unpleasant. What you can do is get better employes. Vehicle dirty and smell like cigar smoke which upset my sinus,12 miles empty on speed aramter,,the employee insisted it ha a quarter tank,?????????

originally reserved a 5x10x10 and it stated it could fit up to 1200 sq feet and a 1-2 bedroom apartment. I lived in a 800 sq ft apartment and it would not fit. Guy who helped me was great though.
