The man working at this location did an excellent job. The customer before me left the truck a mess, and he did an amazing job cleaning it and having it ready to go. Even offered to back it up for me if I needed him too.Alyssa G.
I have rented almost 38 different times with U-Haul over five states in 11 years. Of course all U-Haul equipment is identical across the country except for minimal differences in wear and tear. The Manager of this location at 1282 North Lake Street in Aurora, Illinois is named David Walters. He has trained a group of employees who are Always Friendly and Courteous. The following have all helped me with expertise. Mr Rob ____? and Javieier _____? and Chancellor _____? There is one other employee, whose name I am forgetting. My last seven day rental on the 5th of October 2021, experienced a computer mix-up, but then David was able to over-ride the system combined with the help of a Ms Fallon in Corporate U-Haul in Montgomery, Ill - so once again this Team is doing very well. For improvements - I recommend they obtain extra spares of the 4" x 2" black rubber safety chain hook retainers which keep the two safety chains from bouncing off the hitch receiver. My last rental had only one chain secured and the chain without the black rubber bounced off the hitch. I always check the trailer when buying gasoline and noticed one chain dragging on the ground. But the tires are always in good shape and the units are delivered clean inside. I am glad they always check the turn signal and verify the running lights operate properly on the trailer. Once they even cleaned my 4 pin adapter to make a solid electrical connection. And because the pricing is very fair U-Haul has clearly captured the market for the do-it-yourself'er. It is tough to find great employees, but this location at 1282 N Lake street in Aurora is clearly recommended. Sincerely, HowardHoward H.

I rented a trailer on Thursday at 5:30pm and we received a call 9n Friday before 5pm asking if I was planning on bringing the trailer back on time I told the person yes I"ll be there before 5:30pm, we got there, waited and a guy told my husband to leave it were we got it from waited again and the guy was taking forever so my husband decide to unhook it to make it easier and faster for the guy and when show up he told my husband he was good to go so he left the trailer and left 1 day later I recovered another call asking when am I planing to bring the trailer back, I told the guy we already did and he said it not on their sistem or building and that I haven't returned it.Ybone C.

Great service from the moment I walked in. The lady behind the counter helped me right away. Then a man completed the rental for me. The hook up was fast. I was on my way. The return was just as good. I was checked in right away and was able to drop off and be on my way again. Only issue i had was i rented a van as i was told it would fit a studio apartment and it did not. I called your service line to try and change to a box truck and after 35 minutes and 2 reps i was told i could not. The upsetting thing was i called the local number and it forwarded me to your call center and they have issues trying to contact the place where i rented it fromSteven P.

What I would improve is the unwanted questions!!! I was made to feel like I was being interrogated just because I went over the miles that I guessed when I first picked up the truck. If someone goes over or under the miles that they guessed the employee should be respectful to not pry into their business. I have a question? Are they even allowed to ask where and what you are going to do? This employee needs to be alot more tactful!!!!!Ladale W.

This location was 1 hour 20 minute drive from my requested pickup location in my home town. I did not enjoy the drive into the southern suburbs of ChicagoJames W.
The guy working there was great. The trailer itself had 2 bad tires that should have been replaced before my use. They would not hold air. I filled all the tires to 60 PSI before leaving on my trip, with the right rear tire and left front tire both starting at only 30 PSI. 3 hours into my drive, the right rear tire disintegrated. I spent the rest of the trip refilling the left front every 2 hours from 30 PSI to 60 PSI before it was replaced in Tallahasse, FL, and that replacement tire also wouldn't hold air, it would drop to 42 PSI after a couple hours (I have an older dog that needed to be walked every 2 hours).Sean C.

I made multiple reservations to guarantee a truck. I changed a one way reservation to round trip to guarantee a truck, even when the round trip added 2 hours to my moving day. When I arrived 30mins after this location opened for my appt, the man at desk claimed "the truck must have been stolen" since my truck showed in system but wasn't physically there. I was told I would have to take a smaller truck in which my furniture would have NOT fit in. I paid almost $1000 in movers and almost had to cancel and pay fee due to their incompetence. The man ended up giving me someone else's larger truck, ultimately screwing another customer. Will NEVER use uhaul again.Ryan G.
