I had water damage after the rain and my mattress got soaked. The truck was shaking so bad I thought the wheel was coming off. And I had insurance on it and the repwest people will not answer the phone. This has been the worst. We in two weeks when I need to get another truck because the people who packed the truck basically threw everything in and now I have all scratched furniture broken pieces. It seems the communication between the U-haul and the companies that bring the U-box to and from U-haul locations is terrible. I had 2 companies booked for to come move the U-box on the same day. I had to reschedule that the U-box was even coming because for what ever reason it just didn't book when I did it online. The whole experience was much more stress than it was worth.Stephen W.

I reserved a truck and a car hauler. After5 days I went to make sure pick up is on schedule. They tell me no car hauler. That's bull sâ€¦. I had to call every u-haul until I found one 50 miles away. No calls no nothing. Not correct some of the people don't even care. I got a 15 footer that leaked and got everything wet. The A/C would shut down going up hill. I paid over 900.00 dollars for this garbage truck. I need to get some of my money credit back. I will call u-haulPATRICK M.

But what I found when we got two storage units got up there there was already a lock on it it was somebody else's unit and they said we were empty so back down the elevator we go into there come back gave us another one down the hall rented a cargo van for two days got there the first day they said it was not available so now I had to get a 10 foot truck which we didn't want it was much harder for my older lady friend to load stuff into because there's a big step up there was no ramp use the vehicle for half a day brought it back after hours put in our code message said welcome Ronald door would not open we're trying to call the 800 number could not get a hold of anyone finally some lady that has a storage unit said use the entrance on the side of the building we did not have any idea it was even there it's just a fiasco all around. Had a new employee was charging us for a 30 foot truck when we only got the 10 foot so he needed help about five different times from somebody else I stood there 20 minutes just waiting for him to complete one transaction. Staff was easy to deal with. Cost for storing my RV in the lot was reasonable. Store and lot are clean and neat. Security seems to be adequate while providing 24 hour accessibility to my RV. The staff there are great, only complaint being that the bathrooms are not kept up/clean. However, a woman who was there dealing with the fire and subsequent damage was a wretched human being. I was away on a trip when the incident happened and when I called concerned over my belongings, she was rude, inattentive, unconcerned and a flat out horrible person. She informed me that my unit and contents had been damaged, ruining my trip and making me come home early to deal with it, only to find out that my unit was not damaged and my belongings were fine and my sleepless nights, days of worry, and cutting my trip short was not necessary had this woman properly handled the situation. I spent years running marinas, and when you are storing someone’s property, and something happens to their property under your care, you don’t treat them how I was treated. I wouldn’t even say this woman needs additional training as I believe it would be worthless. She should be terminated from your employment. To make sure I am being clear - this woman does not work at the location. She was there to deal with the incident. How could your company send someone like that to deal with something that personal to your customers? Shame on her and your company for employing such a person.Ryan H. | Overall Experience

The fire was unfortunate but everything leading up to it was also intolerable. Direct debit was never set up correctly, after we provided several payment options and phone calls and visits to the office. Then sent letters to our family members demanding payment though we had given them our debit card numbers more than three times!! Resulting in “late fees” that were removed as if they were doing us a favor due to their incompetence to properly complete forms and charge correctly. Then once the fire occurred, no compensation was offered though they allowed someone to have flammable materials in their unit directly across from our valuables. Zero accountability for any mistakes made on site. Moved our things out as soon as we possibly could. Overall I have no complaints but unfortunately this mistake is on my shoulders that after traveling 2 hours to empty our storage unit, I thought my husband had the key to the lock and he thought I had it. You guys don't have bolt cutters on site? Seems you would need some way to open locks on units that were abandoned and was told at front desk that you do in fact use bolt cutters to get into these units. Staff and store was great. Problem was with “fab” for the gate. Only one available, battery was good, but code to enter into computer was faded and therefore illegible. After two guesses that did not work we decided to use the keypad option instead of fab. Please keep these items plentiful and replaced or do not offer them. Again, staff was good, they just didn’t have working equipment. I had to go back and forth to the office.
