Shout out to Ayanna… I'm not sure what was happening at this location today but there must have been 8 or 10 plain clothes people being lead around by a U-Haul representative while several people dressed in U-Haul uniforms stood behind the counter. Our U-Box was given to someone else and the manager scrambled to get us a new one. Ayanna was tasked to do this on top of being asked to open a cash drawer. I'm not sure what roles or positions everyone else had but it appeared that Ayanna had come in on her day off and was being stretched thin. If you want your employees to last long enough to have a full team on hand at not be stressed out, there should be more hands on deck. Thanks for taking care of everything you did, Ayanna!

I have been a loyal customer with a company account with Uhaul for over 4 years and today I was disrespected by Shantell Hadley The service representative was disrespectful and rude and I was forced to tolerate her blatant and bold rudeness because I she would have clearly refused me service because she was the only one there. Even after making it clear to her she was being disrespectful and rude she acknowledged her behavior and responded " look I don't know how many other Uhaul you been to but I not gonna be verifying ur ID when you can just go online and verify yourself im just gonna send you the link. Even though I did it while making reservations I agreed to comply, while I was trying because she kept sending it to the alternate number she asked me for while registering, she felt comfortable enough to say" look whatever you got going on don't got nothing to do with u the one over there mumbling under ur breath wita attitude" I replied im wearing ear budds and im on the phone phone, so excuse you. She replied " well I ain't got time for it," then I return to the counter to finish check out and she just rolled her eyes and walked out without informing me of what she was doing, and return without the truck. Finally got the paperwork and keys and gave me a truck parked i had to search for. If I didn't rely on Uhaul for my business I would have walked out, and she knew that as well. I don't appreciate my business being in the fate of someone with nothing to lose she was rude and totally out of line and disrespectful.

Overall my experience was good. The employees were very polite and friendly. However there needs to be some way for the employees to know if a unit has a post in it or not without having to go back and forth to the units to see. It's not right to pay full price for a unit if part of it is used by a big post. Just my opinion.

This was the worst experience ever. I called in to purchase the uhaul and storage unit together. The representative asked me what I would be moving into storage. I told her a living room and few other things. She suggested a 5 by 10 space which of course would not even be close. I told her I need the truck for the day and she placed me at 4 hours. I picked the truck up at 2pm. When I got back people were just parked in the loading dock and gone away from their trucks. By the time I started unloading, a worker came out to advice me that he was locking the double doors. I went to discuss it with the manager, and her tone was horrible towards me. They gave me seconds to get a couch love seat and library case off the truck and in which I hurt my back moving fast. Then there wasn't any carts available so my furniture sat on the floor inside. When I made it up to the storage unit it couldn't fit my furniture because like I mentioned it was too small. The office was closed for me to complain. I was never given a tour of the storage unit I was purchasing to begin with. I had to stand my furniture up in the unit in order for everything to fit and end up damaging my couch and scratching other furniture.

Some of the staff need to be a little more knowledgeable about the difference between a mobile drop off and in person return. They should also make sure that all staff are knowledgeable on how the mobile drop off and pick up "skip the line" key part works. Both times I had to wait or go to another staff member to pick up or return my key

Grateful for the excellent customer service and care rendered to me by Brandon, and Dominique. Although, there were computer software issues, a constant flow of customers coming in and out (many with combative personalities), they remained professional, and went out of their way to ensure that all my needs were met efficiently. I was very happy with the UHaul and the people that helped me this past week. The employees were very friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. However, I was NOT HAPPY with UHaul because a month ago I paid to have a trailer hitch (and necessary equipment) installed on my son's car so we could tow a U-Box and/or trailer this past week, only to find out that I had to rent a UHaul Truck and pay extra costs and fees associated therewith, and incur unnecessary stress/anxiety because the break light wiring was not installed with the hitch on my son's car. At the time we had the hitch installed, we were led to believe that we should have the lighting installed at that time we plan to tow, not at the time the hitch was installed. WE WERE GIVEN BAD ADVICE! When we went to tow, we learned that we couldn't use our own car because we didn't have the proper wiring for break lights and the wiring couldn't be installed at that time. Now I have to arrange to have the lighting installed in about 7 weeks, from across country (I am in CA and the car is in PA), because I want to tow with my own car the U-Box presently in storage in Philly. UHAUL made a mistake and I am paying the price which is very frustrating!

I would like to let you know that I only used this location after originally booking a truck for Sunday 5/15/22 at the self storage at 1831 W Allegheny Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19132. The 1831 location was horrible, and made me want to never use Uhaul again after that experience. We had a reservation and confirmation and upon arrival to receive the truck, I called the office to get into the property to receive the key and was screamed at by the employee that "HE HAD NO TRUCKS GOING OUT TODAY" while I stood on the phone trying to explain that I had a confirmation. My girlfriend then called to explain as well, as she had made the booking and he screamed the same things at her, and hung up. This is absolutely unacceptable. There is no reason that Uhaul should work with a location and staff like that. I do want someone to contact me, as that is extremely unacceptable. The staff at 2801 W Hunting Park Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19129 salvaged a terrible experience. Sincerely, Aaron Snyder

I was appalled at how unprofessional the workers were at the front desk. Scrolling on their phones showing each other photos of men as a line formed. They contributed to carry on their conversation as we waited to be served. Once they finished their personal conversation and looking at their phones the service was still extremely show and unorganized. The two working at the front desk were rude and unfriendly. I will never return to this location nor will I recommend this location to anyone in need of u haul services.

Vehicle was dirty both inside and out. Change oil message was on. Person checking vehicles in said he was too busy to help me so the counter helped me. She didn't go look at vehicle but tried to charge me $65 for gas even though the rental itself was only $54. She finally took the charge off after I went and took pictures of the gas and milage. I will never be using this location again if I use U-Haul again period which I probably will not.

There was 2 extra boxes that was on my account that I did not order. Then I kept getting calls about payment needs to be made. The total calls were five and each in ever time I explain to the representative that it's a mistake on my account. They would say I would take care of it. Just so the next time it would.happen again. I called u-haul and explained my situation and was told not to worry because u-haul had a truck. They was very professional, polite and understanding. Thank you for helping me. U-haul is number one.

Truck was not ready, I had to wait 15 minutes for them to bring it out. None of my materials that I ordered were ready and had to wait an additional 10-15 minutes for them to find them. Then I was told they didn't have one of the dollies I ordered. It's ridiculous that I ordered all this days ahead of time and selected the mobile check in option so that everything would be ready, and none of it was.

Staff members need to tell us where to leave the keys after hours, and walk to the van with us to verify milage & gas he did not come to the van and wrote the gas was 1/2 full and it WAS NOT it was bout a quarter from half. Everything else was good.

It was a pleasure to have been able to use this Uhaul storage facility. The Manager and employees went far and beyond to welcome my first time experience at Uhaul. If I were to have to use a storage facility again it will be at this location. I feel if Uhaul can upgrade all there building to walk in and drive inside their storage for convenience to their customers. I want to thank you all at this location for the experience. Exspecially! I couldn't get into my unit kn the weekends unless it was before the office open just to get a cart to use. Sometimes on the weekends the ramp would be blocked therefore I couldn't get in. I was charged extra fees when I asked my card to be automatically charged. I could NEVER get a hold of anyone in the office to talk about my issues however the customer service agents whenever the calls get set to was very rude and telling me how they can't help me. So I got charged additional fees because someone didn't do their job correctly.

My brother has. Unit here that I was trying to take care of do to him recently passing. This U-Haul isn't making that easy on me, by law they're right though. But, Brandon the manager at Allegheny office is very disrespectful. A young man at this site took care of my needs, then I spoke with Brandon and he changed everything back which was fine up until I left the facility and came back for my money and to return the key. Brandon didn't have a problem with me returning that key, he had a problem with me wanting a refund. He told me that I would have to pay a late fee if I got the refund and I wanted to know why since my brother has died and they won't let me with his death certificate and my ID since I was the Emergency contact on his storage take his things. Mr. Brandon gave me the refund and while that went on, he went on to tell me that he would auction off his things if I didn't come back and told me to get out. Now, I check my email to find a late fee notice from Mr. Brandon. I will be calling the corporate office. This was a very unprofessional experience...

I was suppose to pay 1442$ - but I was asked to pay 9.44$ extra - without which my u-box would not be released. This is extortion - I was given a quote and should be honored - if its above the quote, an agreement should have been reached with me along with my approval for the charge. Nothing as such happened and my u-box was held hostage for payment of the amount!

My first experience of this location wasn't good, I was charged twice and the truck wasn't handed to me and the gas wasn't as it supposed to be but then I called Uhaul customer service and they refunded me my money. After 6 months, I still used the same location and had a great experience, the U haul representative checked the truck and brought it to me, she made sure I won't get overcharged and she was very friendly and professional. The new process is perfect, you can check photos of the truck and verify gas gauge and everything before taking off.

Everything at your location was fine. My concern was with the person that took my reservation. She was very nice and very helpful, however, the truck recommendation size, as well as the unit size were not sufficient for what I needed. I had to upgrade my storage unit and I had to make 2 trips instead of one.

I would also not recommend uhall to friends because when I tired to turn in my van the app wouldn't allow me to take pictures on the app. I had to use a friends iphone to return the truck. That took a solid 30min to do or more. If I have to use uhall again im going to the front end rather then use the app.

Need to check on people driving and parking in the facility who are not authorized customers.. There were quite a few non customers who park inside and sit to meet other non customers. This does not feel safe.

The service I received at the University location on Chestnut was horrible. The young lady that was at the counter was rude, unprofessional, aggressive, and threatening in her tone. I would not recommend this location to anyone I know and this individual should not be handling guests at all!

Please do not book with U-Haul. Especially if you're moving across states. After 30 years I decided to move from pholly to Atlanta and put my trust in U-Haul. Only for my container not to show up and no one has an answer for me. There's no communication from U-Haul at all in reference to my container and it's delay. Im currently on day 6 of no container. But U-Haul charged me the full amount yet my container is not here and it's past my contract date. Please please please DO NOT BOOK WITH UHAUL.

I rented a truck first and I was given keys to a truck that was not available. I rented a storage unit in which I found belonged to someone else after getting a bed and dresser up there. Then someone comes up there with a list and only one on the list was available, and that one had a large pole with a base to it in the unit. This particular unit was supposed to be a 10/10 which the pole took up 1/3 of the unit. I ended up finding my own unit that needed to be swept. Uuugghhh after all that I was exhausted and frustrated

Checking in with Brandon was good. But checking out with Aleyah or Ayana (whatever her name was) was terrible. She had an attitude from the moment my friend and I walked up and during our truck rental and my storage close out. I work with the public as well as a supervisor and I wouldn't have her working for me. Very rude.

The unit was marked ready and when he opened it the unit was not cleaned out. Then we went to another one and the same thing happened. The biggest inconvenience was not being able to bring the truck into the storage area as they close the gate before the office closes. It was very inconvenient. Also I'm really not sure that the unit that my stuff is in matches the paperwork. Even at the final destination he still had to swap me out. Something is clearly not working well. The people were great and helpful.

If I had any complaint it would be the equipment to things to my unit isn't easy to get. I find I spend more time looking for a dolly, and the right kind/type than it takes me to get my things to my unit. Additionally, the Key Card is not working properly l, I standing inside the elevator, wondering when it will move, and have to come out and swipe my card again and again...that's woresome as heck. I have spoke to the young lady at the front desk about my issues...I'm told I just have to be patient and come to them as my problems occur. They have gotten me a dolly, but it's not timely at all...and the Key card issue doesn't seem to be an issue for anyone but me...smh

Brandon is the best. He was very understanding and accomodating to my situation. Because of that, the Allegheny facility and vehicles are my first choice for storage and business in Philadelphia. The staff were also pleasant and helpful. I like that there is inside parking. I felt safe going to facility by myself. Con: slow elevators, but clean. I also wish that there was some memorium about the building in the building, since it was an iconic site in Philadelphia ( the old TastyKake Bakery). It would give me something to read while Im waiting in the lobby. Otherwise, it felt like my second home for 2 years.

Great secured facility. Very friendly staff. The only complaint I might have is the lack of more dolley and carts. I do understand that some people are more egoistic and selfish and that the staff do their best. I would recommend this place to my friends.

I just got my storage unit yesterday, no one told me that after hours the sliding door doesn't work! That was very inconvenient especially that multiple people were using the one door. Elevator access was horrible, it took multiple times scanning my card for the elevator to actually do anything. My wife was stuck for 15min at one point as someone called it up to 5th floor and she was not able to get back down. There was a shortage of carts!!!! And I was told by someone there were a bunch on 5th floor but I couldn't get up there so that was useless. I tried asking the supervisor/manager before she left for the day to get more carts but she was not helpful at all! This was a horrible experience and if I had the option to pack up and leave I would!
