I rented a Uhaul truck online for pickup at their 7400 Ogontz Avenue location in Philadelphia, PA. The rental was confirmed and I received a email confirmation for a 7:00 AM pickup. On the day of my move (06/22/2019) I went to that location and was told that my reservation had been cancelled the day before. No one called, emailed or texted me of any cancellation. I called the corporate office and was referred to the 2801 Hunting Park location. I arrived at the 2801 Hunting Park location only to find 3 other people in line who's reservation had also been cancelled (under similar circumstances as mine). There was only ONE Customer Service person working and he seemed very confused. Already 2 hours behind for my move and friends and family waiting at the house, I finally received a "26" foot truck (my original rental was "15 feet) @ 9:15 AM. I jumped in, drove 5 miles to my house, packed up the truck, then drove 3 miles to the storage facility, then 7 miles back to Uhaul @ 2801 Hunting Park Avenue. When I returned the truck, the intake person noticed that there was a 100 miles discrepancy. I had the truck from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. It was determined that the Customer Service Representative did not check the trucks odometer, nor did he advise me to do so, as everyone was in a hurry due to Uhaul's incompetence Now Uhaul is trying to get me to pay for an extra 100 miles. I have disputed their charges with my credit company. SCAMMERS!!

From the very beginning. They were trying to charge me for 2 days. When I only asked for 24 hours.. the truck was returned that evening when it was supposed to be. They called and left a message on my phone about a late charge for the truck. And the truck was out in the yard key was in the clock box. They hadn't even checked I see the phone call. And they still trying to charge me for a second day. Having using U-Haul for years. I am so disappointed

I use uhaul a lot. These guys are experts. Even during an extremely busy weekend, there were no waits and they processed my check out and check-in in minutes. They even facilitated a change to my reservation easily. Highly recommend.

My driver side mirror was lose and kept falling down I had to pull over numerous times to readjust it so that I can see. It was very scary and dangerous to look out your window to pass and the mirror is facing the ground.

This location was completely incompetent and an actual pain to deal with. Upon wanting to speak with a manager they were completely ignorant of our needs and moved incredibly slowly. Even at the end of the rental, we were overcharged for the service. I will be contacting UHaul with a formal complaint.

I've rented 2x in 1 week. The first rental- gas and mileage in van did not match the paperwork. The low tire preasure light came on as soon as i drove away. The second rental- the guy who started checking me out was extremely slow, non-communicative, unable to troubleshoot the technical problems, the manager had to jump in. i made the mistake of not checking the mileage as soon as i started the truck because it took soe long in the office and i had people waiting. The change oil soon light came on as soon as the truck was started. I estimated 15 miles in my reservation. I drove less than 10. The mileage in the paperwork was so off from what must have been in the truck that the final total showed that i drove more than 15 miles. The uhaul location is 2.3 miles from my house. The house i am moving to is 3 blocks from my house. I drove possibly a total of 6-7 miles. I will probably choose another location the next time I need to reserve a truck.

This storage place is spacious, clean, professional and helpful.. The prices are good but insurance is high. $55 for smallest unit to $71 after insurance is high. I hope the insurance rates go down.

Hire more help at this location. The guy there was all alone and he had excellent customer service. I felt really bad for him. He had to also go out and get the truck ready for you as well. He kept communicating with the long line of people who were waiting. Kudos to him!!!!!

I would have liked more customer service representatives present. There was only one and he fell asleep in front of me while checking me in and said he couldn’t find my reservation at all until I provided him with more and more information which I felt like I had to persuade him to look deeper into. I understand that he may have been tired or some medication was making him extremely drowsy but I was in a hurry as my friends helping me move were late and my storage facility was closing soon and this move desperately needed to happen today. I had no issues with the truck. When I returned the checking out process was strange as I returned with 10 minutes to spare for my renting window and didn’t get any sort of receipt. Trying to use my mobile device to check in and out was nearly impossible, things kept lagging on the website. Im happy there were not too many other people there but I was frustrated with things not working as simply as I was told they would be as moving is very stressful.

It took 45min to pick up the truck I had reserved online despite me being the only customer in the store. The man who helped me was terribly slow and rude despite him making me wait and having lost the key to the vehicle he had assigned me.

The customer service was horrible. The rep was talking to me as if I was a child and incapable of understanding what was going on. I was charged for equipment that I never received. After having to explain it to 2 different reps it was finally taking off my bill. If there was a Uhaul closer to me I would use them next I would never subject my friends and family to poorly trained or completely careless individuals.

Alia was professional and helpful, asked specific questions to help figure out our drop-off. This location is larger, easier to pull into, and near a gas station for refills. They have also better organized their store entrance and parking areas. One request: There is signage up to show where trucks pull in. Please make clear where cars can enter & leave as well.

Everything was great but when it came to a “full” tank it dropped below the line a couple blocks down the road. I only went 12 miles and had to put gas in it. When I did returned it it passed the “full” line so they stiff you in that aspect. That kinda sucked.

Won’t ever use ubox again. Not worthy it and they cost me so much stress and time I could have been getting settled in my new location. Not only was I told the wrong information on when is the last day to have the ubox. But I was asleep charged wrongly multiple times to the point I had to contact my bank and you guys tell them you fucked up. How’d I get charged in California when I was moving to Florida from Pennsylvania??? Not once but three times they wrongly charged me. I was on the phone for almost 5 hours trying to get that settled. And when I tried to call telling you that you messed up it was like pulling teeth trying to get someone who could actually help me get my refund. Never again will I use you box. I may rent a truck but never again. You guys said that my box was all the way in California when I was physically looking at it in Florida. Even after that was settled I was still charged again from the same location in California. Worst service ever.

Clerk was falling asleep at the keyboard while setting my reservation. Made the mistake of setting the reservation as a round-trip when it was supposed to be a one way. I was double charged for items I had purchased online when I created the reservation. Then was charged for mileage. Be careful with the poor service at this location.

found empty syring in moving van when unloading. van was dirty and smelled like cigarette smoke, like a bar almost. I WILL NOT use this location again. Truck was really dirty inside and out. Never had a rental that was this dirty both inside and out.
