Check out process was brutal. I waited 40+ minutes before giving the man the keys and paperwork and walking out as he was struggle to help another family register for storage. I don't understand why told me I had to wait, but then told me it was okay to leave after I told him I was in a rush.

Josephine Bthe order was not as I had arranged . Blankets that I had ordered were not in the trailer and I was charged for them . Asking for a refund and being charged more money with no refund . Am still waiting for resolution after having to go to the location multiple times , wasting my time and money . VERY INCONVENIENT and NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER >

wendy n | Overall ExperienceStaff demeanour was always excellent - polite, friendly and helpful. Communication between the head office on the computer where I booked and reserved a specific sized unit with the the local UHaul Storage Unit was very disappointing. The size of unit I had reserved for this Uhaul site was "not available" and I had to take a larger more expensive unit. I had no time to scramble and another place, move out was the next day. I was told head office does not have accurate knowledge of availability at the actual storage facilities. . This seemed very sketchy and to me , unprofessional, and a way to take advantage of people during what can be a vulnerable time. No light bulbs allowed in the unit was frustrating during winter months with early darkness and limited my access. A lot of small random debris often on the lane. I believe the bolt that went into my new front right winter tire was from this as I found two similar bolts further down the lane on my next visit as I walked to the office after parking at my unit. The tire was not repairable as the bolt went into the tire at the edge of the tire. Cost of repair $325. Of course this could not be proven but was likely the source in my opinion. Rodent droppings were evident when I completed my move out

PEDRO MThis was the best uhaul experience I've ever had. All the staff, especially Brittany(pregnant)...was just amazing. I was packing up my mom's life, who recently passed. We needed to get all things back to Edmonton, there knowledge, help and compassion were paramount.

DAVID CI was charged for 71.7 miles when it was actually 51.7 miles. They had computer problems and couldn't give me a receipt at the time. The truck was dirty inside and the brakes were really soft.

NICHOLAS BI received the trailer that was next to impossible to crank up or down. I am a 6 foot 1 and 225 pound athletic human being and I was having a hard time lowering and raising the hitch. It has not been oiled for ever. It was absolutely bone dry.. I also was surprised by the inconsistency at every other U-Haul dealership staff insisted on hooking it up for me. In this case I had to hook it up myself. Which I'm totally fine doing But I am curious to know when the last time this trailer was actually rented out. Or more importantly, when was the last time the staff tried to hook this trailer up. Anyway, I was also a little bit frustrated by the fact that I got nailed for a third day. Yes I understand a contract is a contract. But I was coming back from Princeton and traffic was horrible which I understand is not your responsibility, but I was only a few hours late and given that I called I hoped there would be some leeway. I was also surprised to learn that the staff member told me that they had to pay a $50 guarantee because somebody was there at noon to pick it up. Which is strange because nobody phoned me to ask if I was close by. Anyway, I find it hard to believe that you actually had to pay this out and if you did my sincere apologies. This is not about having to pay for the third day as I said a contract is a contract. I just had expected some kind of goodwill gesture, given the fact that the crank was absolutely horrifically hard to use. Feel free to call me to discuss if you want, but this rental was a bit of a disappointment. The equipment was not in the state that it was supposed to be. You be able to tell that I have rented many trailers from you and I've never experienced this. Regards Elco - Oh, before I forget the stuff mentioned he would put some WD-40 on it. Which is actually the worst thing to put on there which likely explains why it's so dried out.
ELCO GI couldn't believe how helpful the staff and owner were. They went absolutely above and beyond. I didn't expect this from a storage and trailer rental experience. Thank you guys so much, you made our day 100x easier!

Alice HI have moved out in June, and called this storage to let them know I've moved out two RV spots. The front desk asked me if the tow truck already loaded the vehicle, which I said yes. She did not return my spots and I was still been charge on July.

Sue MYour uhaul website is trash. Absolute Trash! It made 2 reservations and told me i only made 1. I wasnt about to get the rental eith mobile pickup, i have to talk to the agent at the desk and redo all the paperwork

LEAH P | Overall ExperienceThe exterior of the truck was filthy plus, the interior Cargo area was never swept out or cleaned proper. When I finally got it home, I had to clean out the interior cargo area and wash the whole exterior of the truck so I wouldn't get dirty rubbing up against it. When I checked the engine oil, it was down 1 Litre, luckily I had some oil and had to put in a litre of engine oil. The engine oil was very dirty and needed a service. The windshield wash bucket was pretty much empty and the antifreeze level bucket was almost empty. The engine was filthy when trying to check engine oil. The interior of the cab stunk. The rental location is a good location with average service, but I was very disappointed in the condition of the rental truck. No offer to pay for the oil I had to put in or any kind of compensation for the poor quality that the truck was in as far as getting a discounted price.
jack lBetter rates. Easier mobile check-in for the truck. Why have someone provide a mugshot and driver license information and then ask for everything again at the check-in time. Took over 20 minutes to get the truck. Truck rental advertised for $19.95 and only drove it 39km. Had it leas than three hours because of the amount of time water for the check-in. A 39km trip ended up costing over $91.00 which is ridiculous. Not renting a cargo van from U-Hail again.

Not to mention trailers left in front of the out building blocking access to my trailer was a daily occurrence. The parking lot had so many nails all over the place, I'm surprised the tires on my truck and trailer survived every visit.

The pavement is broken and full of gravel, very difficult to roll trolleys or carts over the pavement. When I removed my stuff before the end of the contract, I was not refunded for the time not used. This policy needs to be clearly explained BEFORE payment is given. Altogether a most horrid experience

So we had to get another unit, and load up our belongings to relocate to that unit instead. After already having a terrible experience with the uhaul truck reservation, and learning that we no longer had the free month storage, this was the bitter cherry on top!

I figured some money should have been reimbursed for the 12 days early I left it cleaner than it was when I rented it. I moved out March 112023. I paid for it from jan23,2023. I have vacated the unit so DONT BILL ME ANYMORE.
