There were two workers at this location. One was helping out a very upset woman because she had messed up her reservation and had no idea how to fix it. The other was a young man who was helpful. He began helping me, but was asked by his coworker to switch. When she came to help, it was like she had never, in her life, stepped behind the Uhaul counter. She had no clue. She gave me the wrong trailer and wanted to do it all over again. It took an hour to get out of there, to rent a covered trailer. The app to load my ID didn't work (why are you using an app for that?) and the lady scanned my drivers license WITH HER PHONE. I really didn't appreciate someone using their personal phone to take pics of my drivers license. That's not ok. Overall, a really terrible experience. Poorly trained people. Poor digital process. The truck needed to be cleaned not just picked up. Cab needed to be washed/ wiped down. Dirt on doors and dash. Some of the past scratches and dents were not tagged. Truck bed had tools and change in it. Our check out took way to long. She had to restart the process 4 times. Took 45 minutes. It took almost an hour to get a truck rental and storage unit that I had reserved online to â€œsave timeâ€. When I began unloading the truck to bring to the locker I realized I was given a locker that was already taken. When I went back to the office to get a new locker they had locked up the building 10 minutes early. When I called the GM they told me there was nothing they could do to help me and that I'd have to come in and rent a new truck and get a new locker the next day. Only by arguing was I able to keep the truck rental over night with no late fees due to the mix up. A few days after returning the rental I received a phone call asking where the keys to the rental were even though I had returned them to the front desk and asked if there was anything else that needed to be done. Moving is a very stressful time for anyone, and the Uhaul on Ohio St. in Oshkosh made the experience 10 times more stressful. Once I am done with the storage unit, I do not plan to come back to this facility. Do not apologize, I am just hoping you will be better.blake N.
I ordered a 20inch, told order was guaranteed, then no truck that size was given a 15inch then given $50 refund because they didn't have my truck size. Then I had to make 2 trips because of the smaller truck then I got charged more money because of the 2 trips. I booked at this location because they said my reservation was guaranteed. DO NOT use the moving helper. No one will take responsibility for them just not showing up , not once, but twice after they randomly changed by delivery from Sat to Wed. No show, no call. Hours and hours on the phone.Sherie B.
The trailer chains were super greasy. Even the manager commented on them as she checked up on me to see if I needed help hooking up. The website could read my location for the after hours return. The employees were friendly and helpful enough, but the overall experience was not good. First there was some confusion about the reservation, and the location of the storage unit. Then I got my card and could not get it to work, and one employee could not get it to work, but then the more knowledgeable employee got it to work on the first try. I continued having issues with my key card throughout the move in process, sometimes taking up to 10 swipes to get it to work. It was also extremely frustrating that there was no way or option to keep the door open while moving everything into my unit, especially since I had family helping and I was the only one with the key card. The first unit I was supplies was an 8x10, which I was informed could hold everything on a 15' truck. That unit had a small door and a relatively small hallway which made it nearly impossible to fit my larger furniture in to the unit. When we put my first large item in there, a 3 seat couch, it already took up half the unit. I also did not appreciate that the unit was very dark and had no available light source. Anyway, as soon as we realized the unit would not do, we managed to speak to the employees right as they were closing and thankfully they were still very helpful with switching me to a larger unit. That unit us much nicer and although there still isn't a light source inside, lighting was no issue, and it has a garage door entrance which made it MUCH easier to move my many large items into it.Caitlyn W. | First Impressions

I made a reservation on July 19th. Showed up and says my reservation was at a different location. Went to that location and they didn't have a truck for me. Said I could go to a different location that was at least an hour away. My reservation was supposed to be a 1 way drop but because they didn't have one available we had to return the truck back and was told we wouldn't be charged mileage. Now I get my receipt and we are charged mileage. And it was more that twice the amount we were told.JOHN S.

Our rental was for 9am. We got there at 8:57 and waited for 35 minutes until someone FINALLY came out to us. We tried explaining our frustration about it and the employee rudely stated â€œwe didn't make you wait, you didn't waitâ€ ect. She ended up storming off and the other employee said to call the 1800 number and that was it. No apology, not one comment on anything else. I was charged over a thirty dollar difference, due to staff misreading the mileage gauge on my undamaged truck. After about three hours of trying to reach anyone on-site by telephone, with numerous hangups and incorrect hold times listed by the automated system, I worked through numerous unrelated departments, and one very apathetic sales associate, to finally have my issue resolved and my money refunded by a kind supervisor named Coco. They also gave me a twenty dollar gift certificate for the time it took me to rectify the issue I had, which could have easily been resolved within a few minutes, had anyone on-site picked up the phone. This issue was all due to omitting one digit, and not working carefully enough at the initial rental site. I also have been waiting for a call back from this location, regarding a ten dollar charge I don't fully remember or understand, which Coco also did not completely understand. Of course, given the lack of proficiency by the staff at the rental site, and the apparently constant attrition, I don't expect anything of the sort to occur. I will be making an in-person visit there to use my gift certificate, and to directly address the question regarding the ten dollar charge, though I should not have to go to these extremes. This is an abomination and a total lack of guest service, which is why you have completely and permanently lost my business, as well as anyone else's who I can reach, who has any need to move within my vicinity.Matt H.
The mobile app check-in did not work again! I tried it a few weeks ago with my last reservation. It says it can't recognize my location even after checking all settings on my phone nor would it read the QRC code on the door. So I had to have someone manually get my the vehicle. They basically had to re-enter everything I had already entered the night before online. It took 15 min! He didn't quite know what he was doing and the woman working next to him was short and NOT helpful until I made it clear it was needed. This was Monday afternoon 7/26 approximately 4pm.The van smelled like someone had been smoking previously and a cleaning had been attempted but you can never really get the smell out. This location is also chaotic. You don't know where to park or how to get out of the location. It's clear where to come it but that's it. I arrived 10 min before close even though I had selected mobile return. It said to park and wait for someone to check me out, but no one arrived. As I walked into the store at 7:01 just to let them know I had put the keys in the drop box, the first words I hear from the 3 people standing behind the counter was "We are closed". This is a loaded question... first I get there in the rain not you fault but the code given to get in truck was wrong then when girl let me in. There was no appliance dolly that I had paid for so when finished I return a clean truck with proper fuel level. I see I am charged for utility dolly when I didn't request or use it ...it was still zip tied to the side of truck.... I definitely will not use online check in again or recommend it so you are welcome for fleecing another 7 dollars out of me ....not as easy to do as you make it out ....Matthew B.

The employees dont really explain what to do when grabbing the vehicle or dropping it off. I put $10 of gas into the pick up truck and then later realized that i didn't have to put gas in the pick up truck. That is just part of the price.Ryan M.

The mobile check-in/app experience was absolutely horrible. It did not work and I ended up having to go in to pick up my truck. Thankfully they were open and able to help. Otherwise, I would not have been able to get the truck. When I submit my information well in advance of my reservation, Uhaul needs to get me preapproved instead of waiting until I am trying to pick up the truck to attempt that... and then fail miserably at customer service through the app. I'll continue to use Uhaul, but will likely never use any app again, even if they claim to have fixed the issues or completely replaced the process. Very poor excuse for a mobile check-in process.JACOB W.

Everything was very convenient for our move. The only thing we had issues with was getting contact I formation correct. A second phone number and an additional address were entered wrong and weren't double checked before entering into the system. My box springs and king size bed platform took water damage and I threw it away. I was pretty much forced to remove all my belongings from my paid storage unit because they would've removed it themselves. I was left to last second come up with a solution to find a place to store all my things. It also didn't help I was only able to go into my storage on their time. I had to have permission just to go in my storage unit when I paid for 24/7 access. You guys went back on stuff which is in the contract. I had called the facility on 9/24 and indicated that I would be in on Saturday to move everything out of the unit. I stated that I would be willing to pay for the 2 extra days of use. The representative said ok. When I arrived at the facility on Saturday morning at 7:15am. We had to wait for the door to be unlocked even though it was supposed to open at 7:00. We rented a 10' u-haul truck for the expressed purpose of cleaning out the storage unit. Once we were done, we returned the truck to the facility. The person made us wait outside and had a poor attitude when questions were asked about being refunded the difference in mileage. She argued that we were never charged even after me showing her the pending charge on my account. A couple hours after leaving the facility, we received a call from the unpleasant person who had checked in the truck stating that we owed 149.00 for the storage unit. I advised that I had spoken with someone 2 days prior and had advised that I was moving out today and that I would be paying for the 2 extra days of use. And nothing was said about paying the full amount. She said that it was told to me because there is a note on the account. I advised her again that it was not and said that I hope their calls are recorded. She said she would send it to her manager. A little while later I received an email receipt for the payment. I called the facility about it and told them that I do not authorize them to make the charge and I will pay for the 2 days that I stated before and was told ok. The "manager" got on the phone and started saying that she was the one who had spoken to me and that I was told it would be the full amount. I said no listen to the phone call because that was not said. A little while later I received a link via email to the recorded call, which the representative knew I would not be able to access since I am not an employee. Then after sending an email stating that and that I would be calling corporate, I received a screenshot of a note in some account. This was a very poor experience. I have been a uhaul customer for many years and have used u-hauls truck rental at least 4 times in the past 5 years, but around 10 times in my lifetime. I have spent quite a bit of money with u-haul and due to this experience, I will be searching out other options if/ when I move again.Susan R. | Overall Experience
