There were dozens of live cockroaches in my uhaul, disgusting!! Never using uhaul again! And telling everyone not to use it or get from this location!

This location has always been great to me aside from my experience yesterday. I frequent this location for the same services, an auto transporter. On occasion my reservation is relocated due to the unavailability of equipment. On this day, after picking up the equipment and bringing it to my home to begin my auto transport I realized the tire strap was torn short therefore not functional. I brought the trailer back to u-haul for repair and was instructed to leave it behind and pick it up that evening and it was communicated my reservation could be rescheduled. At pick up the repair had not yet been made. It was then repaired on the spot and the trailer was connected to my vehicle. I then went inside to finish the paperwork. It was at this time it was discovered the trailer was booked the following day. If I were the customer who had already made the reservation I would have appreciated the u-haul employees decision to keep their reservation and refund my money however it was due to the equipment not being repaired in time for my reservation that resulted in u-hauls inability to deliver the rental/services contracted.

I was sold a USB charger connector that wouldn't work in the truck I was given. When I mentioned this to the employee doing my check in inspection upon my return, no offer of a refund and return of the item was offered. Also, I was mislead by the employee renting the truck to me that morning as to how and when my deposit would be returned to me. Now, I'm stuck still waiting for the return of the difference between my rental total and my deposit.

Everything was really ok , except the passenger side mirror. The top bolt was missing , and the next bolt down was coming lose . We had to tighten the bolt that was there and duct tape the mirror to keep it in place. We survived though. It just through us off an hour or so and made a long first day a little longer. We also, accidentally left the lock on the back of the truck, still locked. Our apology for that. The truck & dolly we’re fine otherwise. Thank you.

Did the online reservation and check in thinking it would be faster and more efficient. Initial checkin easy, then said I had to go inside to get key. Waited for 25 minutes as agent was busy. Other agent didn’t know what to do and told me to wait. While check in took 40 minutes. Not efficient at all.

The truck had less gas than what was stated on the paperwork but I claimed the difference upon checkout on the site, yet when I returned the truck I was charged for returning it with less than what they had entered before. Fortunately I had taken pictures of the gas gauge and miles before and after and they were quick to refund the money but it shouldn't have happened to begin with. The truck had roaches to boot.

The auto transporter ramp on the driver's side would not lock when fully extended. It pulls out and falls to the ground. I was able to carefully load and unload my car the first time. However, when I attempted to load the car for the return trip the ramp flew out just as the rear tire reached the raised lip of the trailer. My car was now driver's side down sitting its frame. Luckily there was a tow truck at the event and they attached a strap to the wheel and hoisted the car high enough to get the ramp back on the trailer.

26’ truck with only 46k miles driven from Tampa to Little Rock May ‘18. Upon off-loading, learned that the trucks roof leaked water during rainstorm, damaging sofas, three bed sets & numerous paper items. U-Haul’s reaction? “We should probably fix that.”

I want to commend the new employee, employed for only a week at the time, and recently moved from Miami to Saint Petersburg. I wish I knew his name but I know he’s Hispanic. He spent as much time as we needed reviewing asking questions showing us until we literally knew we had this understood. We felt we were given an exceptional service and you couldn’t improve anything.

The customer service at the Tropicana location was excellent! I walked in frustrated after my reservation was changed after phone confirmation the day before and calling customer service when I realized it as I was leaving to pick up my truck. I spoke to 2 people at customer service and they both told me they could not help me because their computer was slow.

I was quoted one price on the phone when reserving the truck and charged a different price of about 30.00 more and then I go to return the truck to the address I was given and they said I was at the wrong place to return and ended up having to drive a extra 3 miles to proper location and ended up over my mileage by 3 miles account of their screw up , I have rented through uhaul many times in my life but after this ordeal I will no longer be using uhaul unless I get accommodation for my troubles this time around

Suggest that they get a type of pre-pay pass for going through tolls. This will save time in travels as well as gas use. They won’t have to stop and start again especially when towing another vehicle. The ride would be much easier.

I arrived 30 minutes before the office officially opened when I returned my vehicle , There were several vehicles ahead of me, so the attendant informed me that I could leave the keys in the door and he would email me a receipt after he checked my vehicle back in. When I got my receipt I noticed that I had been charged for fuel despite the fact that I gassed up before returning it.

Unfortunately it's not the first time I have had problems with the U-Haul near Tropicana Field in Saint Petersburg, Florida, though one complaint I have has nothing to do with the staff. Used to be the tank was always full and all one had to do was top it off. Now one has to determine, because the tank is never full when the customer gets it. That means the last time (second to the last time?) I put $10 too much. This time I was a sliver short (I thought I was okay) and I was charged $20 (okay $19 and something) when it was maybe a dollar or two missing. You found a great way to get that bit more from us, haven't you? I was not returned my $10. Yes I know it is written that one can calculate, well guess what, it's not that easy and the customer should not have to do this. Go back to filling the tanks up! One time I gave the truck back and the staff lost the paperwork, called me and said I had to pay for the truck or they would send the police. Finally they found it, in the parking lot. This was when I was using the trucks because a tree fell on my roof after Hurricane Irma. They call the police on me because the employees don't know where to look? This morning I had to turn back on my way to the freeway because the windows were so dirty you couldn't see through them. I only noticed when I was out of the shade, and it was like I was being annoying when I asked to have them cleaned. I had to clean the back window myself and still it was dirty on the inside. When I complained bitterly that they were adding $20 for a few missing gallons, the staff in the office were like we really don't give a damn, and as I was walking out I heard them laugh. I am a sixty-seven year old underpaid teacher. I work hard for every penny I make in an ungrateful job, I really don't need to be treated this way. You have become just one more American corporation that really doesn't care about its customers, I guess because you already have enough of them.

The cable tie for the rentable hand truck needs to be firmer - it broke when a rolling office chair ran into it during transit. We did not use it at all (you can tell that the nut was never removed) and hope that we don't get charged for that.

The experience of pick up was okay. Not very friendly or helpful here. The guy that rung us up was alright. Overall the employees do not want to be helpful. What wasn't at all okay was taking my brother's money from his wallet that he left in the van. That lacks integrity and has me not want to rent from this location ever. The sad part is that it was only three dollars. Why risk your job over that? Thanks for reading. Remind employees this damages the business.

My truck that I rented they didn’t know where they put the keys then once they found them they failed to put my utility dolly in the truck charged me for it tho after that the lady called me as I was driving to my destination and wouldn’t get off the phone with me then when it was time to return my U-Haul they told me to take it to one location and I did well a week later I get a email saying my truck was never delivered when it was so when I called and asked to be transferred to the supervisor and she couldn’t transfer me so she gave me the office number well she wasn’t much help either I won’t ever rent from U-Haul again there service went down hill

Check in process is far too slow. If you have a uhaul profile and rent frequently especially it should be way quicker and allow you to just get your rental and go.

I made my reservation by phone for a pickup truck and was told they would have it ready, when I got there they told me they didn't have a pickup truck available and I had to take a cargo van. I used the cargo van but it made everything very difficult for my needs.

Have more staff on hand so customers don't have to wait hours for their reservations. Have enough equipment on hand so cus!omers dont have to go to the damned auto parts store, to buy pigtails for trailers! When YOU dont meet YOUR commitments, it throws things completely off. Moving is stressful enough. Having to do it by yourself, because your help, just couldn't wait anymore, because it took 2 1/2 hour to get a TRAILER, is unbelievable!

GET RID OF AUSTIN!!!!!!! He cheated me out so much money. He lied and stated that the only truck I could drive to Maryland was a big expensive one, after I EXPLAINED TO HIM IN DETAIL how I had very FEW items to move, A HEADBOARD AND TRASH BAGS I did not need a lot of space I just needed the SMALLEST TRUCK that could tow my little car. Not only did he not work with me on that and had me get a big truck that I only use I small corner in the top back (ANGRY FACE) he gave me full attitude the whole time, not explaining a single thing to me, telling me since the truck was on E (9miles to empty) I need only return it on E, not telling me how to hook up the car and giving full attitude when I just asked how, ALSO making walk back into the store after I’ve already paid and was trying to get my car on the tow dolly to get on the road HE MAKES ME WALK BACK INTO THE STORE MUMBLING THE WHOLE TIME JUST TO TYPE STUFF ON THE COMPUTER NEVER SPEAKING TO ME, started dealing with a new customer then LOOKING AT ME AND SAYING “Your all done” WITH ATTITUDE! This was my first uhaul experience and it was far to horrible, I’d rather drive my car back and forth for 14 hours. Than to be cheated out of hundreds and treated poorly for a truck I didn’t need. Drew did apologize on the store behalf also he helped with the car, THANKS AGAIN DREW. He needs to be rewarded he’s the only reason I didn’t pull off in tears of frustration. There is a long wait at any hour in this location. They staff are not friendly, they don't acknowledge the line or that they will try to help us. When I pre-order packaging supplies they never pull the supplies until I arrive and then I have to wait for them to gather everything and sometime the inventory is no longer there.

It took multiple calls before I found staff who could assist me with designating the correct dropoff location. Both dropoff and pickup were late. Automated notice had the incorrect delivery date (December instead of March). I was then told I would be contacted about being able to access my container at the dropoff location, but no call ever came. After additional phone calls with long waits, I finally found out how and where to access my box. Moving is stressful. The long phone waits and inability to answer simple questions like when can I access my box added to that stress unnecessarily. The box was also poorly constructed (front panel was separating from the floor--screws pulled out). The service worked, but it could have been much more professionally done.

My reserved truck was given to another customer and it took one hour and a half for them to fix a broken truck they had to give to us. This cause me extra expense to my move as it caused me to be late to my movers and I was charged. During this process the rep who gave the reservation away and manager was not helpful. Only the rep who actually checked me out tried to do all he could to help. I have been a loyal Uhaul customer for many years, never had a problem and never been treated poorly. I will not come back because it's very clear the customer means nothing.

The self service checkout was a terrible experience. It was pouring rain, the truck was not where the it said it was so I had to run around and look for it. I had to go back and forth from the truck to the office multiple times.

Hi I paid by debit card. I have rented the same truck and paid by debit card before. This time they took out $100.00 and now I'm waiting for the rest of the money to be refunded. But this is implemented inconsistently. I said I was going to go 20 miles I went 30 miles. But now I'm waiting for my money. And it is not my bank, as soon as money hits my account it is available. My concern is the inconsistency with it. Because that's never happened before. And I did not know to plan for it. So I have $55 tied up with uhaul. That's not sitting well with me
