We reserved a Uhaul trailer with a dolly for our move and when we arrived they told us that it was first come first serve and they had no more left. No apologies or anything. When we reserved it, it certainly was not clear at all that they might not be available. In addition, the 12 x 6 trailer was filthy inside. The man who helped us was nice enough to blow the dirt out for us but I had to wash the floor of it when we got home because there were spills and dirt all inside. The man that helped us seemed newer and he was nice but the other man was indifferent and couldn't care less that we were unhappy. This location is convenient but lacking in the care of the trailers and customer service.

The headlights on the van did not work. Why doesn't U-Haul verify the vehicle is in legal working condition? I didn't notice the issue until the U-Haul location was closed. The next day I calledâ€"wanting to know why I was fully charged for the rental (plus gas)â€"and the manager completely unsympathetic to the situation. In fact, the manager had the audacity to blame me for the issues before hanging up the phone.

I was charged $80 for gas after delivering the truck with a quarter tank like it was given to me. I drove 4 miles total and put $3 in gas into it. They said it was empty when delivered even though I submitted pictures proving otherwise. The manager basically laughed at me when I came in, walked me to the truck showing it was empty, and then walked away refusing to discuss the matter anymore.

I was suppose to have installation of a trailer hitch on Monday. I dropped off my car on Sunday because that was the only time I could. Later that day they called me to say it was done! Worked out perfect and was done a day earlier! Would definitely go back there if I need service again!

Dont commit fraud. They charged ne for Gas, when i filled the tank, they charged me for Insurance when I declined the coverage, I have my own insurance that covers me in my Rentals. I will tell every one I know to use Budget Truck, because they are more fair and not shady like U-haul.

NOTHING! This was so smooth. I was a walk-in customer, no reservation. Don took care of me and he was knowledgeable, organized, and quick. I was in and out in a few minutes. Then, Rico brought the truck to me. Last place i rented from, i had to go find my truck in the parking lot. I got my estimate, went on my trip, came back, and checked out in two minutes.

The owner rented me a car hauling trailer. Hooked it up, checked liglts. All went well. On return he unhooked trailer and waved a polite goodbye! I wish I could get this kind of service everywhere. Thank you and my Buick thanks you.

Not only was the tank of gas given to me with a whisper of gasoline (26miles left on the tank) but I was told by the “gentleman” (who pretends to be nice but provides misleading information), claimed that I would get a credit if I returned the vehicle with more gas than what I received it with. There was a $14 credit on my invoice which doesn't not account for a dent of that $110 required to fill the tank to begin with. This location is a disgrace, they often provide incorrect info, they tried billing me twice for the auto transport too, had I not caught it and insisted I had paid for it during my earlier visit. Get it together. I tried filing a formal complaint over the phone for this location and the hold times are astronomical. Is that because of the frequent complaints Uhaul gets?

Truck was given with just a breath of gasoline, had to scramble to find a location to pump gas at, and that first gas tank was $110.98 but the "credit" I was given was $14, that's not even a dent on how much gas these trucks require. When I went to pick up auto-transport, was about to get double billed, if not because I caught it. Uhaul has consistently had issues with disclosing fees and nickel and diming people. BUT that being said, the staff is always eager to help, pleasant to work with, polite. Had a prior mess of a situation at this location which is why I still wouldn't recommend it to a friend.

Incorrectly overcharged for over mileage (traveled less than my originally stated 222 miles) and then was treated extremely unprofessionally by Grant - who rudely stated I did travel the stated over mileage then hung up on me as I was trying to explain the facts. An absolute shame as the other team members were very kind upon pick-up and was trying to reserve another van. Awful customer experience unfortunately.

They delayed my checkout of the truck By 45 minutes due to system issues but didn't care when I showed up 2 minutes later than closing on the same day to pick up my towing equipment. Had a complete attitude of disregard about the fact that their delay and refusal to stay 2 minutes late to let me complete my move according to schedule. I had to completely rework my moving plans and take an extra day off of work. No compensation or apology was offered by this location. I hope I never have to do business with them again now that I'm no longer in st pete.

I was charged by the rental location ($552), and the location where I cancelled a prior rental reservation at the instruction of the rental location after when installing a hitch, and it had the trailer I needed. I need UHaul to refund me for the cancelled reservation it has charged me for in for ($339).

Make sure no check lights are on the vehicle before renting. Had pick up of 8am mobile. Got there, got key, found van all no prob. Ready to start our trip and start van and tire service monitoring light on and tire pressure light flashing. Office is closed. Had call uhaul customer care to help in what to do. Could have been avoided.

I reserved a van. I got a truck. There was a van on the lot when I arrived and when I returned. They said it was reserved for someone else, but my reservation was first. The truck I got was too big for my needs and I wasn't able to get a few heavy things in it at all. I was moving all by myself. They didn't seem concerned for my needs or even apologize for the inconvenience. Overall driving a truck with a cracked windshield, 2 dash lights on and that didn't suit my moving needs gives me no reason to look at U-Haul for my moving needs. The reason I needed this vehicle was because I am having new floors installed. I will need to move everything back in a few months. I had to pay someone to move the items I couldn't lift into the truck. It cost me double.

I ordered a furniture dolly which was confirmed at pickup, but not included when I picked up the truck. I didn't notice this until I got home (which is my bad). Anyway, we managed the move without the dolly, and I was credited for it on returning the truck, which was nice. This wasn't a negative experience, but I can't really rate it above average.

I was a GM for 18 years and know what it's like to maintain a facility like this. It was clean and the storage room was spot on with the green zip tie and green tag with date recorded on it. It was a fairly secure building except for a few creepys hanging around…but every place has its own. All in all great job to the GM and staff, like Joe Shoen says "we have the TAj Mahal why go any place else".

When I secured the space, I secured it online. Online, it stated that the space was for a one to two bedroom apartment. That was absolutely not the case. I had to secure a second unit and I thought that they would have given me a discount. But they didn't! Look at the space before you secure it!!

Staff never answers the phone. Often are rude, when I first moved they refused the truck I drove even though I drove across country, then it took over a year and a call to cooperate to honor 1 month of free rent on storage. Prices are severely under quoted. By far the worst place I have ever rented.

The guy that works there - might be the manager was very kind and willing to assist when I hit a snag in my unit. Everyone is really nice - I think The units are really small compared to the ones in Md and Georgia - but I'm a master packer and made it work. Great location and they have lots of carts which came in handy because it got very busy and no one had to fight for carts - that was a plus. Also appreciated someone showing me how to get in after hours.

Would give a zero star if I could. From day 1 this was a hassle. Took me over an hour to get the unit since the line was so long. It wasn't cleaned. I had to clean it myself. The staff member gave me a broom instead of offering to clean herself. The manager is unreachable and doesn't care at all. Will never go to this location again and will never refer anyone here. Worst business arrangement I've made in my life.

There was a mix up when I arrived with my furniture stating I had not paid which took some time to straighten out. At first they were ot going to give me the free month. Because of the mix up I could not set up an account. As they never answered the phone, I had to go to the store to pay for the extra months needed. When I was ready to leave, the elevator (only 1 at the facility), was broken! They laughed and said they didn't know when it would be repaired. I wa very upset. The manager told me he was offended that I blamed him! Well,he is the manager! It was a strange reaction. Keep in mind, I was paying more rent because I couldn't move into my new home because I could not get my furniture out of storage. This went on for 2 weeks! The manager did comp me a truck to move my furniture once the elevator was fixed. It did not cover the additional rent but I was just happy to be out. In addition, I had to go down to check on the elevator because again they didn't answer the phones and no one called me to tell me it was fixed! Very poor customer service!

Got the code to let me into the maximum security storage facility wasn't told that I had to check in using the code at this particular access point then I can use the door key pad but after that was explained to me I had no problems the staff was polite and courteous and even showed me to my storage unit and how to use my code to access the elevator and when I asked for a security card to let me in the door instead of using the code they gave me one without a fuss and told me if I have any problems questions or concerns please feel free to come to the desk and ask it may cost a little bit more but it is definitely worth every penny. I would most definitely recommend this to anyone especially those who value their possessions.

The facility itself was secure. However, I reached out to customer service and got the main number as the facility ALWAYS transferred its phones to the main number. You can never reach the facility itself. The main uhaul could not answer my question and assured me that the manager of Tropicana field would return my call. He/she never did. I was supposed to get a free month of storage as I had rented a truck within the last 12 months. (Mine was actually within the last 6 weeks). The customer service reps at the main number checked my qualifications and assured me that I did qualify. The they charged me at the facility and when it was questioned, they said that since I didn't rent the truck 'from a certain distance', I didn't qualify for a free month. I'm Scratching my head over that loophole. Not even quite sure what it means. The facility itself was fine. I made the reservation through uhaul central since you can never reach the facility itself. On the move-in day, the facility told me that they gave my storage unit to someone else (we were there at 9 am), but, they were able to come up with another for us. Why did they even bother to tell me that? The place is chaotic but my belongings were safe in the end.

I arrived at Uhaul at 8:15am. There was only 1 employee working. He was very slow. There were 3 people in front of me. By the time I got up to the counter it was after 10:35a.m. The Uhaul employee had a nasty attitude and was unprofessional. He was very condescending with myself and the black woman who was before me in line. However, his demeanor was totally different with the two other guys/customers that were in front of the line. I had to be to work at 12 noon but due to waiting 2 hours to get and having to store my items storage I waisted an entire day and had to miss work. I also reserved a storage unit and it was too small for my things! I had to get another storage elsewhere. This was the absolute worst experience I ever had. I would never recommend. I should be accommodated for inconvenience and lack of professionalism. This experience was horrible. // Later that morning a woman (Uhaul employee) arrived around 11am-11:30am. Her attitude was totally different from the man earlier that morning. She was very professional. But unfortunately the bad experience I had earlier that morning with the man who was at the counter trumps that and made my entire experience an absolute nightmare.

Great place to store things! It's the moving out that's a pain. So many homeless folks come up and ask to help you, so I felt uncomfortable leaving my truck unattended to load up more for fear of my things being stolen. The elevator was also miserable to use if anyone else is moving at the same time. Anyone above you will come down with a full load and I waited 5 minutes for two rounds of people to unload the elevator. When it's 80 degrees in that breezeway 5 minutes feels like forever. Overall I'm glad we had the option to keep our things here, but glad it was temporary. Everyone who works there is very friendly and accommodating.

There were dead roaches in the hallway and 3 in my storage unit. I was disgusted and couldn't believe it. I was told management would get back to me to offer a resolution. It's been 3 days and not one phone call, email or text. This is utterly embarrassing.

The Staff was always helpful if needed and it was rarely busy when I did have to get into my units. The auto payment option made everything easy. The elevator certainly isn't the fastest on the planet. Overall I had a positive experience.

I was given a second floor storage unit with no elevator access. Had I known this prior to moving in, I would have found a different storage unit somewhere that didn't force me to carry my items up a flight or stairs. I'm unable to store some of my items here at all due to this restriction.

This store is really busy and really understaffed. There is always a long line and it takes too long for each transaction to occur. If you have a question and call the store you will be on hold for at least 30 - 45 minutes. Frustrating because it is in a great location and always has a variety of trucks and equipment available for your move.

I had an old and valuable antique oriental rug in storage. I recently moved into a larger dwelling and when I unrolled the rug there were larvae all over and a great deal of the rug was damaged, possibly destroyed. This was a family heirloom that apart from monetary value, had great sentimental value to me. I'm heartbroken this beautiful reminder of the home I grew up in and 3 subsequent homes of my own is so damaged. I've never seen a single instance of this during my 25 plus years of owning and using this beautiful piece in my home. I'm greatly upset about this and heartbroken.

There was a reservation error. The centralized reservation system gave me lockers that didn't exist at this location . I had a lot of stuff. The Tropicana staff worked fabulously with me during a very stressful time and gave me everything they had for space. The manager, James Beck, made things very reasonable in terms of cost adjustment. All the staff were pkeasent and helpful.

I will commend this particular UHaul for its cleanliness as I am all about clean especially in a storage facility. Most of the folks at this facility are helpful and pleasant.

After being a loyal customer for nearly two years they decided to increase my rate, even though they still advertise and offer the same rate to people who are currently signing up. So they basically try to squeeze more money out of customers who have been there a long time, but continue to offer the same size unit to new customers for the price I had paid all along. I guess they are banking on customers being too lazy to move out. I called and left a message asking to discuss the issue with management and he never even took the time to return my call. Apparently U-haul is more interested in short-term profit than brand/customer loyalty. I found a very nice, brand new storage unit nearly twice the size (10x15) less than a mile away for basically the same price I had been paying U-haul. I may have no choice but to use the services of u-haul at some point in the future depending on where I am, but I can certainly tell you that it will never again be my first choice. I will shop around and likely pay more for a competitor's services if they are available before I ever resort to using U-haul again because I don't want to support a business whose business model is designed to "reward" customer loyalty with predatory practices.
