Updated networks are highly reccomended because I got swindled of my money I am negative 42 dollars because they wanted to overcharge me for another day on top of that they made a new reservation instead of using the reservation I had which resulted in a more expensive rent and I ordered a hand truck with my rental and never got one..Eduardo F.
Friendly and helpful front desk. Some miscommunication between the front desk and whoever called us. We turned in the truck to the front desk clerk several hours early after we filled it with gas. A woman called us in the evening asking us when we were going to turn in the truck.Carl H.

I wanted a monthly rental, I began my agreement June 4th 2021, continuous weekly rental until September 11th 2021. During the rental duration I was charged .59 then at times .69 per mile. I understand difference is weekly start or weekend start, due to total length .59 per mile would have been appreciated, during my total rental aggregate period, I put approximately 2500 miles for approximately 3.5 months, about 14 weeks in total. I was not once offered a monthly though repeatedly requested. My understanding is that monthly rates are available. I always paid in advance, secured with my credit card. My personal vehicles engine blew out due to timing chains snapping, destroying engine. 2010 Buick Enclave v6, yes chains-with plastic guides on the back of the chains internal on that FM products engine. My new vehicle has been delayed final assembly and delivery due to shortages of parts. I have been told eom September to anticipate delivery. Had I been able to continue use if the cargo van it would have been greatly appreciated. Even more appreciated would have been the monthly rate. I'm also a disable USAF Veteran, I believe that why I did not receive any discount for being a Veteran was due to it being discontinued by U-Haul some time ago. I would greatly appreciate a account audit, review, due to the fact weekly I was charged approximately 156 to 186, then 222, 333, 656, for my weekly rates, even an additional 22 one week for unknown reasons. I informed the manager prior to, and upon my arrival I would like to extend, or rewrite an agreement on same van. If I was charged for fuel, I question why? I'm taking the same can. If you still needed fuel same for an extend I would have gone down the road to fuel it up. I am not certain if that was the 22 dollar charge or not I'm aware Donovan, who's been fantastic btw, is challenges with several new employees that are, were still onboarding, not sure if that played into everything or not. Please review, and provide an accounting audit ASAP, and please provide me with same. Also, if able to, could you see if the monthly rate was available, and if it was please explain any variance between weekly and monthly rate. I have been a long time customer, I plan on continuing our business relationship. Also, I checked the system for my history, all my account I formation appears to have been purged, system can not find record of.... I have many paper copies from all the years I have been doing business with U-Haul, where are all my electronic files though? They never called to let me know that the U box had actually arrived and while picking it up the general manager was nice and helpful the other guy wasn't. I also asked if there was anything else I needed to do after I returned the U box and he said I was all good and balance was fully clear. Yet then I kept being charged for a storage unit when I didn't even rent one to begin with. They are also terrible at answering phones at this location and I emailed them and also haven't heard anything back.Alexander S.

The reserved vehicle for my rental was not cleaned, and the gas tank gauge said "0 miles until empty" when I started it. They gave me a credit on my rental fee for the gas however I was concerned I wouldn't make it to the gas station. The brakes NEED SERVICING! There was trash in the cab of the vehicle and it stunk from cigarette smoke. This was not the typical level of service I usually receive from this location.CHRISTI H.

Storage unit door was never fixed even after reporting it to the office. Extremely hard to open it - rubber on bottom of door hanging off it and door itself very difficult to lift open. When I got there to drop off my trailer at 3:30pm, there were trucks I cleaned and blocking the entrance and items everywhere around and inside the vehicles. NOBODY around. Inside the office only one employee and 6 customers including me. The guy was working solo doing everything. Poor guy: hustling, nice and friendly. Not a great experience, was there at least 30 plus minutes for a 5minute or less drop off.Bob G.
Everyone was so rude and incompetent. they sold me a $12 wardrobe box with no â€œbarâ€ so it was unusable and upon return I was told I would be refunded (I left the box in the back of the cargo area. they quoted me $11 per Extra day and now are trying to charge me $20/day.SUMER A.
I picked up this Uhaul on 8/27 at noon. All three employees on shift at that time had more than amazing customer service. I upgraded my rental and it was such a breeze. I would truly recommend this location to a friend solely for the employees and how great they were.Annalea J.

Great , you only had one worker today but he was amazing! He kept calm when there was a line of people, moved very fast and got everything done so efficiently. Even though their were 4 people ahead of me, i felt like i hardly waited. Please commend him for his hard work today. I would hire this employee in a heartbeat seeing his great work ethic. I rented a 26' truck & our experience would have been 100 times easier if there would have been an extension added onto the ramp. That was a HUGE negative factor, because I had heavy furniture. I highly recommend that you add extensions. In my next move, I will use professionals for this reason. Otherwise, the equipment was in very good working order. The employees at this location were moving & groovin' trying to get all customers taken care of in a timely matter. They deserve a raise/bonus, due to their hard work. I'm sure the COVID crisis has had much to do with it. They were friendly, kind, and helpful. However, we weren't exactly sure how to. check it back in & then we figured it out. Gracias.Cara R.

I was stranded trying to move my son in to his apartment from another state. I had a guarantee delivery of my Ubox which did not happen. I had to rent a truck and pick it up myself which is unacceptable. I relied on uhaul to make my sons move to another state and I was severely disappointed. This was a long haul, AZ to VA. Windshield wipers needed replaced. Ac/Heat fan was intermittent. Interior and exterior were very dirty. For the interior, I purchased Clorox wipes and repeatedly cleaned. It was not a little dirty, we are talking grimy. A plastic piece under the front of the vehicle became detached due to bolts vibrating loose. This acted as a catch for the wind, which made the fuel mileage worse. The smaller tires, that allow for the lower deck height, made the ride across the country very rough and upset the cargo. Worst experience with U-Haul in 30-40 years!Jeffrey L.

I am not sure if it was short staffed, but the entire entrance was blocked with returned trucks at 9:30 AM. I rented a 4x7 trailer and returned it 3 hours later. Too it busy to check me out in person. Told me they would email receipt. The truck wasn't full with gas when I got it as stated on contract. I brought it back full and they took the liberty to charge me for gas when I returned it with more fuel than I picked it up. They also didn't email me receipt as promised. This is hands down the worst storage facility experience I've ever had. Staff wasn't helpful. Are storage door was really damaged and when we told them they just ignored it. Also my storage was broken into and nobody ever really helped out. When I called corporate to find out the status of my situation. They had not been informed of what had happened. Apparently the employee that reported the incident never properly informed corporate about the incident. I'm very disappointed in how uhaul chose to handle this situation. It appears to me that this was a inside job because whoever broke into my storage knew my code and only targeted my unit. No other unit was broken into. Regarding the Mcclintock storage: NEGATIVE STARS for management communication. I had a storage locker for my child who attends ASU. I was driving through Tempe to collect the stuff and return home. All I wanted to know was if my gate card had a numerical code in which I could use if the card did not work. That's all. A thirty second phone call. I called the McClintock phone number three times, each time on different days, at different hours as it said while on hold they were "busy". Really? That busy? They couldn't answer it and say we are slammed busy, we'll be right there to help you. Each time I was on hold for more than 15 minutes. NO ONE picked up or picks up the phone. After the 15 minutes of holding I was then transferred to a national call center who told me they left messages for the manager or employees at Mcclintock to call me back. NO ONE CALLED ME BACK. NOT AN EMAIL. NOT A TEXT. NOTHING. It's always funny how a business is happy to take your money but when it comes time for customer support everyone just happens to be busy. If I was late on my payment, managers/employees find the time for late fees and collection centers. My final time I called, I stayed I hold yet again for yes, you guess it 15 minutes. And yes, I was transferred one more time. This time though it was to Neferti Hernandez. She took my information and even emailed and texted the McClintock manager to contact me through email, phone or text. Once again. NO ONE did. They couldn't give me 30 seconds of their time. Now If I were to give Neferti Hernandez a rating: 50 STARS. Yes fifty. I hope this email or response finds a way to her manager as she deserves praise. Uhaul is beyond lucky to have a polite, considerate, friendly, responsible person who was competent. I could write 100 more positive adjectives about her. The manager at McClintock should call Neferti Hernandez and learn how 2 minutes of being helpful goes a long way. Manager at McClintock Uhaul, please remember, you are not the only storage facility in Tempe. In business, you're only as good as your last job. You make hard working people like Neferti look bad. This facility needs major work as far as customer service is concerned. Every time I called the facility, no one answered the phone and I would be automatically connected to the corporate office. Living out of state temporarily and being unable to connect with the office staff where my storage unit was, made for a very uneasy feeling and had me constantly worried, until just yesterday when I was able to clean and close out my unit. Tony, the previous manager, was the best employee this location had. I would never recommend this location in general, whether it be for a moving truck, storage facilities or even moving supplies, to anyone I know, as I would hate anyone I know to feel the way I had.
