Don't tell the customer one thing and then hide behind a phone saying the contract says another, I rented a truck here and had to rent a trailer 2 miles away from this location at shorter and was told I could drop the trailer off with the truck at this same location but then charged more for the trailer because I didn't return it to a uhaul carrier that knew it wasn't coming back there and they didn't even have it on computer coming back there yet I'm still being charged on the Trailer 2x $202.23 for using it for 6 hrs and not taking it back 2miles away to the location it came from, I would have dropped it off 2 mi. Had I known this but I was told it could be dropped off at the Shorter Ave. Location in Rome, Ga. THIS IS PURE LYING AND ROBBERY TO YOUR CUSTOMER. THANK You!Chuck C.

Our experience with this uhaul was a complete nightmare. When we arrived at our destination to load the uhaul we open the back to be absolutely disgusted by the roach infestation we saw they were everywhere. And by the time we noticed it was too late we were an hour and a half away from the uhaul pickup location and they were closed. This was the only day we had to move our stuff so we had no choice but to use the vehicle. Now we are disgusted our stuff is infested and we never want to do business again because roaches isn't something we should have to worry about from our uhaul. On top of the roach problem the truck died on us at the location we were taking our stuff to and we had to call our own personal insurance to get a jump for the truck. This experience was the absolute worse and we are not at all satisfied with our experience.BRUCE B.

Truck infested with roaches!! Had to involve corporate to get a resolution which wasn't complete until three days later! Resulted in moving help being paid twice due to their horrible serviceâ€¦Management tried speaking to my husband as though he was a child! Absolutely the most disrespectful people ever! I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy!! Do yourself a favor and DONT GO THERE! Drive a little further if you need to!Rhonda H.

My preferred pick up location didn't have the truck i wanted available and my p/u location was moved.. i had not realized that until i went to the original p/u location... but overall, my experience during this rental was very good... no issues and so glad the A/C in the truck worked really good... August in Georgia is not a great time for moving!!!!Vickie J.

I just got charged $19.95 twice because even though I had the 10 foot truck for 22 hours the guy working there told me I told him 4 hours. I will never use UHaul again. I had a 10 foot truck 22 hours and 44 miles and just paid $87 for it. It was the worst business experience of my lifeKELLY F.
The inside of the truck was filthyâ€¦ spilled liquids, dirt, food pieces, wrappers, an old tweezers by the cup holder in plain sight. No effort had been made to clean this truck at all. That's weird considering Covid and how many texts I received from U-Haul about trying to do things online instead of in person to avoid risks. Also, the driver's seatbelt was non-operational.MATTHEW C.
You need to do something about Aaron. You do not call customers and complain and whine about a truck you rented out to someone who is not even the customer and use emergency contacts for non emergencies and charge cards not belonging to the customer without permission.JANICE B.

Get new owners and staff. We reserved a truck 1 week in advance in store. Got there to pick up truck and they couldn't find reservation. Old man is rude and incompetent. Needs to be put in a nursing home. Will never rent a vehicle from here again.Craig B.

This is the second time dropping off equipment at this location. The personnel seems to be under the instructions to nickel and dime the customers as the first drop off they said they were charging extra because the truck was not mopped...furthermore, I returned the truck on the most recent return basically same day after hours as I had to work Sunday and was charged for it sitting on location which is not posted anywhere. With the truck being available to the next person who needed one at such a early timeframe and as it was clean and fueled I don't understand paying extra and not getting some of my rental back. If I need to rent a truck again I may be checking into another company at this point as that is basically food taken out of my children's mouths for nothing over the past month or so.JOSEPH T.

UHaul truck had multiple issues, driver side sun blocker was broken off, passenger side mirror had screw missing so wasn't able to see blind spot on highway due to it moving with wind current, didn't figure that out until I was on the highway at higher speeds, dirty inside, gas was less than 1/8th full on pick up, reimbursed minimal $.Bryan L.

To improve for the next customer, Uhaul could have the equipment that was reserved. The furniture dolly was not available. When I asked if we could get one from one of the other Uhaul places, the rep who checked me in stated there was not another local Uhaul and that the closest was Cartersville. NOT true. Later he mentioned he was, â€œnot from here.â€ The guy who received the truck when I brought it back was very knowledgeable, helpful, communicative, professional, and friendly. He made eye contact and assured me of the truck return protocol and what to expect next, in terms of a final bill, etc. THIS is the person you want at the front desk, making the first impression!Tina G.

There was only one representative at the counter. This one individual had to complete new contract rentals, check in returning vehicles, sell merchandise as well as answer incoming calls. There were five customers in line and also several returned vehicles lined up outside. To much to expect one person to handle effectively. Kudos to the customer service representative for being polite and multitasking the best he could. Unfortunately, he needed help because customers were frustrated.William R.

I purchased moving materials, specifically, a mattress cover for use in hauling a queen size box springs. The location was out of stock for queen size so I bought kind my size. The king size was more expensive...CARL S.

I initiated self-check-in, but the staff wouldn't let me get the suggested vehicle. They wanted me to take a certain vehicle and had me come inside, which removed any benefit of self-check-in. The person had to keep telling your software that I couldn't find a vehicle until it came up with the truck she wanted me to use. The trucks shouldn't be in the system if the location doesn't want them rented.Brian A.

I had no complaints with the lady associate that assisted me the day i picked up the uhaul. I believe her name was kym. Im not sure. My phone conversation with Aaron a few days later is where my experience was terrible. I called to inquire about 2 different issues. I wanted to know why my card had been charged $189 when my rental agreement said the amount was $164. I also was asking what credits should i be looking out for for the mileage. He became very hateful and his answer to my first question about why i was charged the different amount, he said that was something i would have to ask my bank because they are the ones that charged me that not Uhaul. Im not an idiot. My bank isnt going to take an amount out for uhaul that isn't what was requested. I asked to speak with a manager. He said I am the manager. He said he is the manager. I said i wanted to speak to whoever was over him. He gave me the 800 number and hung up on me after i said of course thats where i call.Amanda H.
