The owner of Uhaul was excellent! Very helpful and courteous when I rented the uhaul. Now when I returned it... it was a different story. The lady was rude and did not care at all about customer service. I did not use my allotted 60 miles... so after she told me I would be charged $18 for gas, I told her I didn't use 60 miles “that's not my problem, should have driven it more”

Very long wait. Initially only one person on staff and he was slow. When a second arrived progress was only marginally better. Second person was not as knowledgeable related to the software. My receiver hitch insert has two ball sizes. The trailer was connected using the smaller ball. A short drive to meet a friend and it was jerking around badly on smooth pavement and felt like it was about to come off. Returned and had trailer connected to the larger ball. Towed MUCH better.

I dealt with the owner of this location and had a great experience from start to finish. The young man that checked the vehicle back in was friendly, professional and fast. Great experience all the way around!

Obnoxious experience. Had to provide the name and number for someone else (anyone else actually - doesnt matter) for verification of “who knows what”, to protect against people who don't return vehicles. Does UHaul really think that criminals aren't way ahead of you on this game? You don't think they're prepared to provide a second party who is in on whatever scam you're so fearful of that you're willing to place 100% of your customers in a position of distrust? Additionally, I was told if I were pulled over without paperwork, vehicle would be considered stolen, as well. To top it off, was then told I could not park my car in their lot, I had to park in the lot next door, which requires any customer to get back out on the road, park ones car in a smaller lot owned by other businesses, Position ones car awkwardly to get into the spaces, and step across a curb-boundary to get back to the UHaul property . I'm sure this works out fantastic for the elderly, pregnant or disabled and even more so in inclement weather. I was dressed well, reasonably kempt and same for my car. At least we can conclude that the attendant treats everyone with an equal amount of disdain. Doesn't appear to be any prejudice here where this is concerned. If there is some legitimate reason as to why UHaul policies are so obnoxiously different from every other rental option in the Rome area, they'd be well advised around coaching their attendants to deliver information around such policies in a more professional and customer - centric manner

I had and overall positive experience. The only negative would be the attitude of the employee. It seemed like she didn't want to be there. There was one Part of the billing section that asked if I waned to donate to a charity. I was not given the opportunity as she just told me to type no in that section. The experience with the equipment was positive. I would rent again.

This is a busy location. To keep things following faster you should have more workers at this location.. It's always a long wait time when you only have 1 worker for such a busy location.. please staff this office to better serve your customer. Customers was leaving because you didn't have someone to help them because the 1 worker was busy working hard helping others! Thank you

Reverse light out on truck. I mentioned it when we picked it up, wasn't an issue but you might want to put in a work order. Also, the person that we dropped off the truck with, was so nice. Was raining and she didn't even wait for me to get out of the truck to start helping.

I wanted a truck from different location. The location was a small mom-and-pop. I could not get a hold of anybody at the location. I called 1-800 number for a rental for the day. They set me up with the shorter avenue location in Rome Georgia, I was told that I had to have the truck back by 3 p.m. . I explained that I wasn't even wanting to rent the truck till 11 and needed it for the day. I was charged $60 extra for an extra day within a day including insurance I want my $60 back

If it were me, I'd advise customers while making arrangements for moving day to come at least 30 minutes earlier than their expected time of picking up the truck. The gentleman who processed our information before getting the key was very polite and frustratingly slothlike.

Not charge 20.00 just because you have to pick the key up out of the floor. Calling it a after hours service is a rip off. It's taking advantage of people who have to work day shift.

I was informed that I could save money if I took it to a certain location. I called the location (Classey Car Wash that I would be dropping it off there. They informed me that it was a 24 hour drop off location. That was convenient although they did no tell me there was a $20 drop off fee. I also read that if you left in in a clean and swept that you would receive a $25 credit. I did clean it up and swept it. I figure that I should be Reimbursed the $20 drop off fee and the $25 cleaning credit. So $45 total. Thanks

My reservation was changed to this location because they were suppose to have the truck. I get there and all they had was a 20' truck. I waited for 30 mins before being helped. He then told me my payment due was 240 but online I was quoted 134. I got my bill today and there are so many extra charges that no one told me would occur. My reservation was for 12 hours. No one told me I wAs going to pay extra for after hour drop off. This place wAs only worries about the 5 customers Getting in and out to actually go over everything through.... I will never use UHAUL again. Besides the truck they gave me had NO ac. Piss poor

Transmission was slipping, check engine light was on. Topped out at 45 miles an hour. Horrible gas mileage because of the amount of power used to accelerate. Was charged for two days because the gentleman working “forgot” to check the uhaul in. This location is HORRIBLE. I WOULD LIVE A REFUND.

Hire more people. There was only one person on duty and there was 10 customers in the store needing assistance when I went to pickup the key for my rental truck.

The city needs to fix the curb at road entrance it's to steep, one has to go slow on entry and exit on a very busy highway and it makes things dangerous. Especially pulling trailers

The Lady that checked me out was very nice and helpful. The store manger has very poor customer service skill. He charged me for things I never wanted or ask for. I received no refund for the trouble he caused. Please find another u-haul dealer.

the employee Lawrence don't know how to talk to customers you can barely hear him and he didn't explain to bring the truck back on a full tank. and the manager was trying to charge me for an extra day after they done said on the phone twice as long as I got it there before 8 pm they wouldn't. when I called her on it her mood went from bad to worse I believe she would have pocketed all the extra money that's what I believe she was up to and probably get's away with it all the time ya'll need to put a camera on her you'll catch her!!!

Well the owner was very very unprofessional. I asked about one of his employees and he made a smart comment about well she dont live here. Which I didnt like, the truck was dirty it hadn't been sanitized with this pandemic of covid 19 going on. The outside had mud all on the truck and tires. He also had to call me from his office phone to my cell phone to verify that the number I put on the contract was a live number. I also had to give him a reference person and a contact number for them. Which also had to call them to verify I am who I said I was. He had to do all this with him having my license and credit card in hand verifying I am the individual renting this truck. I was very very unhappy with the service and felt racially profile with all the steps I had to go through to rent this uhaul truck. Which i had already reserved before i came into the office to pick it up. I would never refer anyone else to this uhaul company as long as the same owner is at this location.

The unit did have a small leak. We didn't realize it until we started trying to get to some of our stuff. We dried most of it off & put it in different boxes or just brought it home. One item that got damaged but, that we can't really put a price on, is a computer "shipping container/box". So, we just let the facility know so that ithe unit can get repaired. The Manager was very kind, professional, friendly & knowledgeable. Thank you!
