I Rented A Uhaul Thursday a week ago and the tank was on 1/4 . When i returned it to where the tank was they charged me $30.00 because the tank wasn't on 1/6 when they gave it to me on 1/4 ( I Have A Picture Of it ) also when i returned the truck i asked the man that works there could he check it before i go he stated that it will take 20mins before he get to . As i processed to leave it wasn't even 5mins he checked the truck i would recommend getting a storage there but a uhaul Truck absolutely NOT . The employee that helped me was very nonchalant. The truck was parked on the curb I had to turn it around and bring it up front for me to leave. The employee pointed in the direction in which the truck was parked but didn't actually walk me there or the walk-through on the truck. It took me several solo trips of going out to the parking lot to find it, which could have been avoided. When I came in I had to wait a while for her to come out of the employee quarters. I was not told my â€œreservationâ€ was changed to another location until I showed up at the designated location. The agent told me it had changed and called someone; I then received a text informing me my reservation had changed. There is not adequate parking at the location I was later assigned. I had to park my vehicle in a parking lot across a busy boulevard. I want to know where my $50 is for not having my truck when I showed up for my reservation. Everything was fine, aside from one issue that was a pain. When we moved in, the night of the 14th, and there was a car parked literally flush and in front of the hallway to access the rack, elevators, and all. We even took a photo of it. The car was in our way and we even had to hit it a few times to properly move in. There was no way to alert whoever the car belonged to or anything. Staff with attitude. Was told insurance was mandatory but brochure says optional. Was told that district manager makes rules in regards to service area. Was told they can do what they want in regards to policy and does not have to abide by corporate office guidelines and policy. Also staff left facility with no one on site during normal business hours. No note on door indicating no one on site and would return at a certain time. I arrived at the facility at 7pm on 8/9 to gain access to the storage, which I thought would be a easy process since my payment was easily processed and the instructions online were simple when I noticed that the access code wasn't working for the gate. I went to the door to get some quick assistance to see what was going on, while I was on hold with uhaul customer service just in case they could help quicker. the cleaning personnel knocked on the restroom door spoke with representative in the store, who didn't even have the decency to at least come to the door to see if my issue could be resolved quickly. the cleaning personnel came back to the door and said the rep told him "they know what to do" with no other further instructions I was left sitting at the gate trying to figure it out myself. While still sitting on hold for a hour waiting on customer assistance rep I decided to email live rep which advised that I was denied access due to the secondary contact not being a different person. I wish I would've got a phone call letting me know that or a email so I could've fixed the issue before making a blank trip but by the time I got the response I was already heading back home to unload the truck which I had just loaded so I could put in storage. i wasted mileage coming out to the facility, I wasted time sitting at the facility with no guidance overall 2/10 experience and wouldn't recommend as a first time customer .Da'Sha G. | Online Move In

The check in process is so unnecessarily long and complicated. If you are going to offer mobile check-in, it has to be significantly simplified. I ended up having to go inside to check-in which was also a slow process, taking an additional 20 minutes. Looking for other moving truck options in the future. Lot of duplicate points, time loosing, all the information provided and forms filled and signed online had to them all in person at the office which is time consuming and duplicate, this is specific to this office only not othersYACINE C.
Process contains questionable business practices and very impersonal. It is set up this way to add unnecessary and fraudulent charges. At rental, you receive text with images of unit from 6 feet away. You are to accept there is no damage but you can't see the van up close. There was damage and i was told to still â€œaccept images as if no damage and take photos.â€ Fast forward 3 hours later to return. Sign states stay with rental til someone comes to inspect. After waiting awhile, i went inside. They took keys and said thank you. I asked for them to inspect the vehicle and was advised by female GM they will do it later. I explained about the damage and pictures and was told to email them to her. Again, i will get a final bill later. I received a bill and they added 3 gallons of gas at $13+ for the total of 36 miles i used. It's ironic as i got gas (over 2 gallons) before I returned the van. It's hard to believe the van used over 5 gallons of gas in those 36 miles. Again, if inspected at return, when customers are present the customer could dispute these additional charges. Rent same vehicle of Uhaul on Southside Blvd and had a great experience. I'm not sure I would use Uhaul again with these practices in place.HEATHER V.

Although dusty inside and the windshield could use a good cleaning, the truck was great. Some attention is needed as it sounds like it has a power steering pump bearing on the way out. This location is way too small. I had other customers asking me to move out of the way so they could exit. You cannot drive a truck in there to access your unit because there is not enough room. It is a one way narrow driveway and you can't drive out because there are trucks parked in the return aisle waiting to be checked-in, blocking the way. it is impossible to turn a moving truck around in this small facility. You cannot contact anyone at this facility over the phone because their calls are automatically forwarded to the 800#. They do not offer one month free storage with a truck rental. As an added bonus I was overcharged. Definitely would not recommend unless you are moving into a storage unit via your own personal vehicle. Had I been familiar with this area, I would have rented from another location. The truck I rented sounded like the engine was going to fall out of it at any minute. I had to park the truck overnight in a shopping center because the facility is so small. When I rented a unit to put some excess items into storage, they had the nerve to charge me for another day when the truck was at the location and never left the facility. It's impossible to drive a truck in to reach your rental unit and when you do, you can't turn the truck around because there is no room. It's supposedly one way but you can't get out because there are trucks parked in the return lane blocking you access. Just awful. And it's really annoying that you cannot reach someone on the phone at the local location. All calls are directed to the main 800 number. I have rented from many U-Haul locations, but I would not recommend this one.JACQUELINE F.

I rented a tow car dolly from the Regency location. The parking and drive is very tight with no room to turn around. I have discovered this to be true at many u-haul locations. The wheel straps were not put on well. Part way through my journey one came off the wheel. Thank God we saw it before something awful happened. The chain on the tow dolly was wrapped around the frame and the employees were not able to release it. They sent me to another location to have it fixed.Cheryl S.

When a client pays for a rental of equipment ( I.e. a dolly, furniture pads etc.), it's a good idea to make sure that they are in the truck. When I got my rental there was absolutely none of my equipment in the truck that caused a serious delay on my move and I will have to spend MORE money to rent a truck and equipment at another business. I was there at 2:15. And couldn't start storing my things till 5. The customer service was horrible. I wasnt given all the information regarding sign in at the time of my reservation. He kept making run to my car and I kept losing my spot I. Line. I had a car port and was never told I needed the 20 in cash to remove it. Again another 3 and have hours and still could not store my stuff. Before he removed the car port I had to go find and Atm which has caused me over $5.00 in fees to get the 20. I arrive back at 4:50 to give him the cash. At 5 I finally got to store my things. Then he forgot to give my the code and I had to go back to get it. Because it was near closings time. Then I finally wme to go back to finish. All in all a simple 2 hour move in took me 5 hours. Very unsatisfied.
