Original location in cedar springs didn't have lock boxes set up. The mobile app didn't work and I was put on hold for 28 minutes. That's why it was last minute at pick up location in Grand Rapids and why I received an old and damaged truck. Employees were great equipment sub parKaren K.

I have an issue w/ UHaul policy, specifically the extended rental option. It is very inconvenient to your customers w/ reservations expecting to get what they ordered WHEN they ordered it & Uhaul confirms it. Moving is stressful enough without adding more stress when truck is not available because you extended it Even though there is another reservation. That's just wrong. If there's a reservation following another reservation people need to return truck on time. if not you can charge a hefty fee to discourage being late. It is wrong to put out the next person's pick up time & change reservation because someone didn't plan accordingly. it's very inconvenient, especially at the end of the month. They can do big stuff first and if not done do little stuff by their car. You can't always get people to help move if time changes and it's just not fair or right. I appreciate this location gave us extra miles & apologized but didn't make it easier. I think you need to adjust this policy to no extensions if you are booked w/ other reservations, especially at the end of month when it's busy. If people are late then they pay extra as deterrent. You need to tell them you are booked & truck is rented for someone else. most people would understand that, though you may have a few difficult clients who ignore it. I bet it would cut down though if charged a lot extra for being late. You can't really win - you either make current customer mad, even though it's their fault or you make next customer mad for messing up their plans. But over all you need to do what's right & honor your confirmations. Extending is fine if no one else has a reservation.Timothy O.

The air conditioning in the truck. We drove this truck 300miles with no air conditioning in 95 degree weather. The air conditioning only work when we were stopped at a red light. The controls for it did not work. It was a very uncomfortable ride.Joshua L.

Staff is great. They do an awesome job. The only complaint I can offer is - and this has been true for the last 30 years at this location - the office is HORRIBLY understaffed. There should be at least 2 or more people there all the time. You're lucky to have good people working there because the company doesn't seem to give a shit about them John HendersonJohn H.
Call me Uhaul: reservation 27156367, you have my number. I ordered a hitch and arrived on the scheduled date of install at this location. No hitch they told me, and I'd have to come back and they'd call me when it came in. Height of Covid, no waiting allowed, far from my home, and I already drove there with two vehicles one time at an appointment they set, so I didn't reschedule right away when they called a week later. Now they report they installed the hitch three months after that. (I was waiting until winter was done by that point) Hmmm whose vehicle was that on? It certainly wasn't mine. The receipt they sent me "proving they installed it" has amounts changed from what I paid in full online, adding a $0.76 cash payment on the "day of install". Shady stuff. There is a place for a customer signature too = blank. I'd stay away from this location, and maybe Uhaul in general. Buyer beware, a lot. Crystal the manager is the person I dealt with.Dan H.

Don't charge people extra money for stupid stuff. I was informed of $20 convenience fee if returned after store hours. Okay. My contract was for 12 hours starting at 11am. Store closes at 8. I had a long day of moving and went home to charge it and do return the trailer online. I had to share my location which would obviously be my house. I was exhausted, so I decided to just eat the $20. I check my bank today and I was charged $85 when my original bill was $45. Absolutely ridiculous.Chelsea M.

Maybe, Mike is knowledgeable and clearly over worked. Communication skill leave the customer bewildered and frustrated. Telephone access directly to the store is among the worse, on a par with IRS. I had to drive to the location four times in order to get an answer and information regarding installation of my hitch. A distance of 13 miles one way. Inexcusable.Bruce V.

The trailer I rented is getting a little long in the tooth. It's still road worthy but far from new. One of the latches to keep the gate closed was a little misaligned and was difficult to use. Your employee Brandon was incredibly helpful at pick up and drop off even though power was out when I was picking it up and dropping it off.Miles P.

Making reservations is NOT customer friendly. Equipment and personnel shortages. Internet not working. Your website is not easy to use. I just wanted the smallest trailer to transport my riding mower. That is easy to communicate to a person. Not so much on disappointed. If you call, you go to an automated phone system with long wait times. I want to call my local dealer and speak with a person. Very dissapointed.Neil S.

We were over charged and the wait was over 20 minutes to get any help from the desk. When returning the truck an employee said "just leave the keys on the seat" and then we were charged for gas even though it was the same level as when we started and blankets we did not use or ask for, they had been left in the truck at the beginning of the trip.Edward J.

I walked into this location and was greeted by Brahn, who was actually cleaning a truck when we arrived. (He was the only person there.) Shortly after I walked in, there were 4 other groups of people behind me. Brahn was very friendly and treated me like I was the only one there. He went out of his way to find me the best deal and I was in and out with no problems. I will use this location again because of Brahn. Great employee!Trisha R.

Everything was handled with the utmost professionalism. I had a problem with the fact that my original pick up location was on a few miles from my house,when the day before my pick up, location was changed to a location that was at least 15 miles away from my house. Which meant that I had almost 20 miles on the truck before even loading anything into the truck. The attendant was nice enough to give me extra miles so that I didn't Incur any mileage fees. My trip was 190 miles and I was originally alotted 201 miles. So without the extra miles,I would have had to pay extra because I went over. It was a small jesture,but very much appreciatedRichard B.
