Plainfield location was not a problem. The problem was that no one ever contacted me prior to going to Centerpointe 28th st Grand Rapids location. When I arrived to this location, which was the location on my reservation, they obviously did not had the equipment. They blamed Uhaul dispatch for this. I blame Uhaul in general for not contacting me and wasting my time.Angel H.

I was charged an additional day because I had to have the truck returned 48 hours from the time it showed up at the departure site which was earlier than I could possibly complete the move. The gas cap says to turn it half a turn to get it off - I spent 5 mins at the gas station before returning the vehicle following these instructions with no result. When back at the location the employee just unscrewed the cap like a normal fuel cap. I then had to go back to the gas station to put in fuel - a) why is this instruction on the gas cap b) if I had been on a long journey this would have been very trying.Ian T.

1. The app is very easy to use, and make after-hours returns go very smoothly. 2. Getting to a customer service rep via online chat is not great. I have to wait quite a while to get connected to someone. Twice yesterday I got a message on the chat that there was no one to chat with me. 3. Getting to a customer service rep on the phone is the THE worst part about dealing with U-Haul. I've rented trucks several times over the past year, and EVERY time I've had to call, no matter what time of day or day of the week, it's a minimum 15 minute wait to talk to a human. Moving is already difficult and frustrating; getting help shouldn't be. 4. When you call the local number that's listed as the store location's phone number, you are re-routed into a call center instead of being connected to the store. If that's going to be the case, be transparent about it and don't list the local phone number on the location. You have zero chance of actually talking to someone at that location on the phone. 5. Once you get to talk to a human, they are super nice and very helpful. But the process that it takes to get there is incredibly inconvenient and frustrating.Chandra M.

Light didn't work on first trailer. Contract wasn't updated appropriately prior to return. Caused extra time straightening out. Not to mention attempted over charge. Credit was issued but not for full amount of difference but at that point I didn't want to spend more time to reconcile a couple dollars. We were told that if we returned the truck before 7 a.m. the next day we'd not be charged for a second day. The woman at the desk said "just park the truck over there and lock it up, then put the keys in the dropbox." So that's what we did. Since we did it in that order she said, the truck was locked and we weren't able to take the required pictures. Then we were charged for a second day for an incorrect drop-off. After spending over an hour on the phone to get this remedied, I was disconnected and nothing was ever taken care of. Very frustrating.Robert B.
Disappointed there was not enough gas to go 90 miles so I had to put in 12 gallons of gas before traveling to my destination. Before dropping off, on my one way 100 miles trip, had to put in 2.5 more gallons to bring gas gauge up to the pick up level (1/4 full), I reserved a 15 foot truck however on the day before picking it up was informed only a 26 foot truck was available. Too late to look at other options. It was nice they didn't charge extra for the larger truck. Large truck drove poorly, bumpy, since it was almost empty. Other than that the staff was excellent at the location. Really appreciated when I asked if there was enough gas to go 100 miles they said that it would be close and recommended I should add some gas before leavingKarl K.

You guys suck. You made me have to drive all the way to Grand Rapids to pick a truck that I needed in East Lansing. I'm never getting a uhaul again. I don't care how cheap your rates are. I was inconvenienced in the most disrespectful way. I was called the day before I needed to truck and told that equipment was out. How did you not realize you were about to run out. I had my reservation made since the 15th of July. I was called THE DAY BEFORE. As I do understand that it's moving season I still don't see a reason for why there should have been a problem with me getting my needs met. Anyways you could be more considerate next time.Samuel O.
They initially led me to believe that the rental period was 28 hrs but then charged me for 2 days. Total BS. Had I not let the blanking thing set in my driveway until 3 to return it, I could have brought it back in <24 hrs easily. Systemic scam. The motorcycle trailer worked great, plenty of D hooks. But I had to tarp my new bike because it was raining and the tarp ripped and was flapping against my bike in the wind. I can not believe the trailer rental experts dont have an enclosed motorcycle trailer, or even a ramp and tire chock to put into one of their enclosed trailersDan R.

My truck was not set up and I had to go to the back to get it and my equipment wasn't in the truck and I had to lug it myself to my truck. I did not order a dolly but was charged and given a huge appliance dolly which was too heavy for me to even use, much less use with my stuff loaded on it. The staff was really rude and standoffish and made me feel like an idiot when they couldn't do their goddamn job. Awful experience.Keara H.

We did reserve the equipment at a UHAUL location near our house and then when it wasn't available there, we were charged the mileage to a location that was farther away. Doesn't quite seem right since we reserved near our home. But that was our only complaint.Christopher R.
I made a reservation, but got a trailer that had mud in it because it had just been dropped off, and 2 walk ins got trailers that had been cleaned. Also the trailer leaked water and it rained a lot. I would like a newer cleaner drier trailer for my upcoming reservation this weekend please. I have electronic that need better protection than last week. Also the trailer shouldn't smell like a farm. This site does a fantastic job getting me in and out quickly. I have rented a lot this year and they know me and take care of me. I appreciate it a lot. This last truck however did leak water in the upper attic part and prevented me from putting pillows or anything of value up top. This has been a big concern as this has happened to me on two trucks now. I move a lot of expensive furniture and artwork and I am now getting worried about your trucks and whether I can count on the box to be dry. This is so critical for the items we move around.
