3 employees total on duty at 9AM. There were 7 people in line and only 1 employee at the counter! Computers were running slow so it was taking way too many minutes processing one customer. I brought truck to this location per Uhaul's request. I incurred a $7.00 over mileage charge because I went 12 miles over the allowed 85 miles. There's a 24 mile difference between my original drop off location on Citrus Road in Goodyear to the McDowell & 24th St location. I shouldn't be charged for doing Uhaul a favor and spending my precious time and energy driving 24 extra miles out of my way! I'm not very happy with this particular transaction. Uhaul usually does a good job renting equipment, so I don't know what the problem was today.PERRY T.

This storage unit was rented for my son who had to move out of his ASU apartment. When he went to check in he was told that he didn't have a reservation. After arguing with the desk person his reservation was found but it was pulling teeth to have him show my son the location of his storage unit. His card and code would not let him have access. The desk help used his card to open the gate and told him to call yesterday to get a new code. He called yesterday, got a new code, drove his car packed with all of his belongings to the storage unit and the CODE did not work. He has to be at work at 8:00am today with a car full of stuff. It is two days from the day we rented the storage unit and can not access it still. I would definitely never use this facility again.TAMARA M. | First Impressions

It seems like there's a lot of miscommunication between Ubox/Uhaul/customers and uhaul/movers. My box was a day late in Phoenix, and arrived 2 weeks early in Seattle. No one told me this, so I was waiting in an empty house for no reason. Also, I'm not sure why my items we're sent to Kent, WA when I live in Everett, WA. This cost me an additional $150. You should work on communication. It might help customers get their items on time and leave them happier.CIERRA W.

I made a reservation for a 26' truck at the Signal Butte, Mesa, AZ location a week in advance. TWO DAYS prior to the pickup, I received a call that a truck was not available and could I use an open trailer. If that would have worked, that is what I would have ordered. However, the woman I spoke with searched and found a trailer at a downtown Mesa location and moved our reservation there. THE VERY NEXT DAY AND ONE DAY FROM THE RESERVATION, I receive a call that they would not have a trailer available and I would need to go to the airport location (an hour from hour home and through Phoenix rush hour traffic) for a truck. Upon arriving, was told there was no truck. Fortunately, I had seen one pulling in when I arrived and asked why that was not available. I was provided with that truck and given one extra day rental. Why is there a reservation system if it does not reserve the unit selected? This was a very frustrating experience.Douglas B.

I was in a jam and needed to get to a job. Only have a debit card with my chase acc. So couldn't rent the pickup like I needed and they rented me a 10' truck I had it for 30 hours and it cost me $300. Anyone needing a vehicle other then a big truck go anyplace else.Richard F.

I was told to return trailer to this location, which was out of my way, and I would receive a $35 credit. No one at the return center had any knowledge of this and had to follow up by phone the next day/ Auntrice Morgan, Reservation Manager, was very helpful!Arnold V.

Everything was great except for the account platform. I set up autopay for all 3 of my lockers day 1 & somehow 1 magically came off of autopay & I was charged an late fee… the same thing happened the following month but in the 2nd month, it was 2 of my lockers that dropped off of autopay causing me to pay 2 late charges. In total, I had to pay 3 late charges due to a faulty system & had to make sure to pay manually every month due my lack of confidence in the system. Make the application process simpler. Personally I only use my phone to make calls & for my calendar, I don't text or care to learn how, I often go out & leave my cell phone at home. It would be easier if your staff were able to scan ID's & drivers licenses, I had the young man do it for me, he was a great help.Leopold L.
Online check in was a bear. Spent 30 minutes trying to figure out why it was not reading my location after following the prompts to allow internet to read location. Spent another 30 minutes waiting for phone help. Once speaking with a truck share expert she was able to walk me through steps to go to my Settings and found that it was a privacy setting for my browser that needed to be enabled. Make sure that when you mark down on the paper work I sign off on, before I take the rental off the lot. That it does have a full tank. And not 3/4 of a tank. I put a lot more gas in to fill it up again then I used. Other then that . It was all good.Randy M.

Location and staff (location manager and hitch pro) were excellent. Call center (scheduling) could use some work, as they scheduled a service for a time that staff were not available, and deleted my area code from the phone number stored in the reservation data base so that staff (hitch pro) could not call to reschedule. Hitch pro graciously rescheduled me for next available time, and did an excellent job with a very complex hard wiring install.DANIEL H.

NOT contactless and it took 20 minutes to check out the vehicle in spite of reserving it online. We tried to call this office five times in the days prior to pick up to ask questions and confirm details but NO ONE EVERY ANSWERED THE PHONE... just sat on hold and finally gave up each time. Ended up calling another location to get assistance. And, why on earth do you need to CALL an emergency contact in order to rent me a vehicle when I have a valid drivers license and multiple credit cards to verify my identity?? The drop off staff, on the other hand, was excellent. The truck was very clean and well maintained, so we were happy with that. I would not go back to this location to rent from them.Susie A.
I have used this location over six times in the last five years to rent a truck for in-town and out-of-town moves and had pleasant experiences. This last experience has been the absolute worst and I will never return to this location. Stop lying on your reservations. Tell the customers the real price they will pay. I was quoted $237.00. Perhaps somewhere it may state that does not include other charges but I did not see that. We rent cars and fly a lot and the way you guys quoted the price is Oldschool. You got me there on the day that I NEEDED the truck and then tell me its actually $318.00?!? I was trapped into either paying the new higher price or abandoning my plans. Had I known the real price I would not have rented from you. It was a deal breaker but I was trapped into accepting your terms. 2nd Issue; I tried to cancel my reservation because I saw the location would be closed when I return the truck and I did not want to try the app. Not good at apps. When I called to cancel it the nice lady on the phone found that the Phoenix Airport location would be open until 7 pm and my return time was 6:45. The man at the locations desk, who completed the rental, also told me personally that HE would be there until 7 pm the day of my return. I got there around 5:20pm to return the truck and no one was there. I had an extremely difficult time trying to figure out your app. 1st; it could not find my account with my phone number; then it said my device would not share location. then it offers instructions for how to fix the location problem. I had to get someone to come help me with your app. We followed the instructions 3 times. The instructions were wrong. These are the reasons we don't want to deal with your app!!! If you can not have someone there to return the vehicle then I should be given the option to return at the next available time with no additional fees. Again Had we known there would be no one available to return the truck then we would not have rented from you. In a nutshell; you misled us on the total price and then two people gave us incorrect information. If you had given us the real price we would not have rented from you. If you had told us the truth about returning the vehicle; we would not have rented from you. Your company both misled us an did not deliver on promises. Is this normal for you guys?aric S.

My truck was locked when i picked it up and i did not notice until i came home. I hired movers who were standing there and I was paying them to do nothing because of U haul's mistake. I had to return to the location and get a new truck. This resulted in me having to pay the movers for an extra hour of service. I rented a tow dolly at 10:00 am on 4/15/21. At 11:54 I received a call from Cindy at uhaul stating that I needed to bring the tow dolly back. At 12:05 the equipment was returned and I had to pay a tow truck to haul my car. I also will be needing a refund since I rented the equipment for 6 hours had it for 2 and couldn't use it.David H.

Honestly the $19.95 truck rental wasn't realistic. I drove 43 miles and the final bill was $53. Just too pricey I felt. I wish I would have asked for a estimate based on the mileage before I committed to rental.LORI H.

About half the staff were not wearing masks even when leaving from behind the desk. The storage facility recommended for a 2 bed 2 bath was far too small for what we needed and had to change units.
