Tina AManager at the time of move-in (Hussein Alsafi) did not honor the first month free promotion that was quoted in our truck rental. Hussein was the employee who checked us in to the storage unit and claimed that his manager did not allow for him to honor the promotion. When I asked why they did not contact us to make us aware, he did not understand why that would've been necessary. Stated he did not know how to refund the payment for the first month's rent. He advised I reach out to UHaul corporate, who then advised me that it was the discretion of the Storage Facilities to issue refunds. We did not pursue further action because we were still occupying the storage unit. Storage Facility was well lit and well monitored, and all of our things in the unit itself were safe and not damaged at the time of move-out.

After 50 miles, the tires finally rounded enough to feel like we were no longer riding on the rims. Overall performance was fine, it got the job done.

Paticia M | Overall ExperienceThe team at the Mt Juliet location is always friendly, helpful & efficient. The only problems I have encountered are the In flexibility of the corporate computer system. It went down on Thursday and I had to pay movers for their time for nothing, well, nothing and a waste of my own time & money as well. Many transactions are limited by, your software. And corporate policy. I've had multiple moves and, in a move, receipts get misplaced. You don't allow refunds on unused boxes without a receipt. Period. So all those separate transactions, on the same credit card I've used there for hundreds of dollars, you can't locate in your system and apply a refund. That's lame as hell. It's industry standard for a company your size, especially when you have customer accounts & U-Haul apps, on our phones and you still demand users do your bookkeeping for you. Then the system crash, where you lost 4 customers just in that one store in the time I was there on Thursday. No manual process, no front end process that could post to the central database when it was up again. BAD design! 30 years in IT and I haven't seen such a fragile system in years. Also, just in general, several times I've done transactions where the agents will tell me: "The system won't let me do this/that/the other thing" that it should be able to do. It can't find me with my name, email, phone, or order, under some scenarios. I think you need to take a hard look at your systems. Your people at the rental locations generally do a great job. Corporate IT seems to be hampering their work, not aiding them.
Alan HExceeded expectations. In the truck and on my way in less than 5 minutes and the return process took less than 3 minutes. Everyone at the UHaul store was extremely helpful and friendly even though I returned the truck at closing time. Overall, a great stress free experience.

JENNIFER TI needed to purchase some supplies for packing and moving. One thing I purchased was a lock for the truck. I didn't know until we were leaving town that the lock didn't fit. It was a lock more suited to a storage locker. Had to make a stop at a retail store to buy another lock. I feel the folks at the rental location could have asked what the lock was for (truck or storage) and then could have recommended an alternative. $12 wasted. In all other areas they were quite helpful.
Stevan BThe service at this location is top-notch, friendly, and professional. They also try to go out of their way to help meet my needs. Unfortunately, however, I continue to have issues with the app check-in to return equipment. If I search for a location "near me" it recognizes the location... but returning equipment, it then says it cannot find my location -- despite it being shared without restriction. I tried numerous times to no avail before finally giving up. (Yes it was updated.) There were two other people also having issues when trying to pick up at that same time.

I did not appreciate the rush to vacate my unit during work hours interrupting a meeting for a non-emergent issue. I do not recommend this location.

I confirmed with U-Haul customer service that I would receive the free month of storage upon move in for the month 10/6-11-5 even though my truck reservation was for a future date, 12/1. Upon move in I was curtly informed that that was not the case and it was explained to me in a quite juvenile manner by a staff member at the storage location that that was not the case. Since I am on a time crunch for my move I did not have the ability to shop around for another option. I feel that U-Haul was deceptive in its promise but more than that I feel that customer relations should be worked on for this staff member as they did not have to speak down to me as if I did t have a brain.

I was able to do that from the day I arrived, so it was not an issue! They said they would have it repaired once I moved out. I reminded them when I moved out and they said they would be taking care of it for the next guest. Everything about our experience was great and they worked with us to make sure we had everything we needed!

The police showed up later to see what was happening I was being criminalized for opening the door to a unit I paid for two days before. There has been no cancelation notice up to this time, and still yet to recieve any. I am currently considering legal action for the distress, defamation, breach of contract, and humiliation. I have never received such a unprofessional service in my life.

victoria s | First ImpressionsI would recommend anyone looking for a safe place to store your belongings at this facility, they have really friendly staff and they walked me through the move in process and they do provide locks that are inexpensive. Unfortunately, I do have to give it a one star rating due to when I was moving out an employee charged me on “accident” for 3 fee’s totaling 80$. I was on the phone with them as they made this error, they ended up calling over a manager whom stated they didn’t know what the charge was for. The employee then stated they “may” have checked the 3 boxes that added those fee’s. We ended the call with pretty much there is nothing that can be done because it has already processed on their end. I then received a call back from the manager shortly after, he said he contacted corporate and they also stated there was nothing that could be done because I had already moved out of the unit and it had already processed on their end. The manager said unfortunately I would still be charged regardless of their mistake and they “may” be able to refund me or “something”. I immediately locked my cards, and I am waiting to see if they proceed with charging me. I do not usually write reviews but when I do, I try to be as honest as possible. I really did enjoy my stay at this location, just really unprofessional that nobody could correct their mistakes. At the end of the day I am still extremely happy to say I was confident in trusting this facility to hold my belongings. And I realize people make mistakes! So, no need for an all negative review it deserves the good too. :)

Fortunately the team managed a workaround and getting a unit secured but I can't imagine everyone being so fortunate in the future.

However, guys were always helpful and pleasant when you finally got service. I just want to go back in time when ppl who paid monthly for services got customer service within a reasonable time (is 15 mins too much to ask when 3-4 ppl are with someone else, and you're left standing with no help?

Then the truck I rented to haul my toolbox had a door that kept popping open, and if it wasnt for a friendly driver on the road, I could have spilled everything out that wasnt tied down and/or killed someone. Truck had a cracked windscreen. Not a biggie, but I had to explain it away after the fact. After that, they neglected to close my account when I returned the vehicle as the unit was now empty. Now I keep getting rent reminders and charges added to a unit that I turned in 1 month ago. So you tell me how my experience was.

During our near 2 month stay, we caught one roach, which is not bad at all, but also caught one mouse, which I'm glad the wife didn't see. I felt the facility was secure, but punching in a code every time between trips in the truck was a bit annoying. Overall, not a bad experience.

His answers were short and he didn’t seem to want to be bothered. He was very unenthusiastic about his job. I’ve used this facility before and could have sworn there was a proration of rent if you moved out early; yesterday while I was mid-question, he cut me off saying “they don’t prorate.” It’s frustrating because we were just billed roughly 3-5 days ago and basically had the whole month left. That part isn’t his fault but his attitude and delivery of information to customers could use some attention.

I was was expecting a lot more, as far as cleanliness from "indoor climate controlled" storage facility. I told an employee there and he stated that he never goes into the storage units and gave me the managers card. Matter of fact the pile we swept out, was still there today. I know that the business can't control what is brought in and it's impossible to be pest free, but this unit should have been inspected before move in.
