When I cleaned out my storage unit there was a bunch of water in the back of my unit possibly due to the rain that we just had. The online checkout was terrible they asked for me to submit pictures but didn't give me an option to submit them. And the store manager Patrick at the Memorial Drive store was very rude from the gecko, even after I was renting trucks. I will continue to travel out to Westfield for my further or any U-Haul needs. Also when I picked up my trucks for moving there were furniture pads as well as a handtruck laying all over the bed of the truck. When I notified the store manager about it he told me it was my responsibility because the trucks were now in my possession not cool.Tammie B. | Overall Experience

I couldn't even get access to my storage unit. I had issues getting my truck rental the night before so I had previously spoken with customer service over the phone. The location I reserved it at doesn't keep keys after hours yet has the option to select 24/7 truck share. They had no notification of that anywhere. I didn't find that out until I got there. After we resolved that issue, I asked the manager if I could still move into my storage unit at any time or did I have to wait for that too. She told me I could move in at any time as I had opted for the self move in. When I got there, I entered the code that was emailed to me, but it kept telling me access denied. I called customer service and waited on hold for almost an hour. I finally got a hold of someone and she said I should be able to have access, but since I couldn't I would have to wait until business hours. The only thing I could do was put in a complaint. She transferred me to the person who handles that. The next woman they transferred me to told me that it didn't say 24/7 access on my contract and normally it would and it would be an extra charge. I'm pretty sure, all storage units are supposed to be accessible 24/7 so it's at your convenience. Why would someone pay to store their belonging somewhere when they only have a window of time to access it. Furthermore, there were signs all over about 24/7 access. It was the second day in a row that uhaul inconvenienced me. I was forced to keep the truck with all my belongings in it for another night and now have to pay for another night to rent the truck which I wasn't anticipating having to do. Overall, I'm very disappointed in the level of customer service I have received from Uhaul.PAYTON T. | Online Move In

Very unprofessional! I was assigned a storage unit that belonged to someone else and had to wait 3 hours for someone to fix that mistake! I had a great experience renting a trailer at this location. I've recently installed a hitch on my Jeep and when I went to rent the trailer it wound fit.. my hitch it's to close to the tire, so this nice young gentlemen let me borrow his hitch receiver! Everything was fine until the trailer was returned and the agent asked for it to be backed into a tight spot between two other trailers. With my mirrors covered in ice & salt and the parking lot being dark, I was going to park the trailer for him and take on the risk of bumping into a parked trailer. He then asked if he could drive my vehicle to park the trailer to which I refused and told him that I would drop the trailer off in the equipment return line. I told him that it wasn't my responsibility to park it where he wanted it on the lot....and he said it was. After telling him that I didn't have time to deal with this and that I would leave in front of the building, he developed a negative attitude and said to just leave it where it was in the middle of the parking lot.Steve P.

I had 2 cancellations on a â€œguaranteedâ€ reservation. The worst customer service I've ever gotten. Called and spoke to customer service Morgan and was told I'd be issued a $50 check for being cancelled on. After first cancellation I didn't believe I'd receive this credit so I asked for the phone call that was recorded to be sent to me. Which is offered at the beginning of the call by U-Haul. I never received that or the credit. Also in store I mentioned that and was told I'd get a credit in miles. That also didn't happen. Based on all this I am very displeased with the service.Kyle L.

Mileage on the truck must have been off from when I picked it up because I was charged an extra $50 after driving the exact distance I was scheduled for. I didn't notice this until I was about to drop the truck off, and was unable to contest the charge at that time. When I arrived to pick the truck up, there was only one person working, so there were about 10 people in line and it took 30+ minutes to pick up a truck that I had scheduled over a week in advance.Michael G.

I would have sent this email sooner, but we were very busy with our week long Brimfield Show, the reason we rent a truck 6 times a year to transport our inventory to our site to sell. This not the first time that U haul has messed us up with rentals and rental locations. This time however, was the most inconvenient and costly mess up yet. I went to my prefered pickup location only to find out that they had no truck for me. They had no record of my reservation either. I ended up talking with someone from Uhaul customer service and was told that somone had cancelled my reservation, saying that it was a duplicate. I had a truck reserved for Sept 1st, and one for the 11th. They cancelled my Sept 1st reservation. As I continued with customer service, I asked about surrounding areas where I could get a truck...they kept telling me that there was nothing in the greater Springfield area. It took me a long time to FINALLY get an answer to call the Chicopee location (In the Springfield area)....it was now 5:15 pm, and I had to drive way out to Chicopee before they closed at 6pm...AND I had a lot of extra mileage to pay for...never mind the stress I had to experience. I feel I should get a full refund for my Sept 1st reservation. This was unforgivable. I Certainly was NOT the one who cancelled my reservation...which cost me a lot if time and money losing a day in my setup. I will be awaiting your reply ASAP. Staff were helpful. Our experience was fine except we had to drive an extra hour to pick up the truck and wound up with one bigger than we needed. So there was extra for gas, tolls, and the driving around the city was trickier. I would not recommend any U-Haul location to anyone. At the time of my reservation on 23 August, the Bensalem rep instructed me to return the truck to Keene, NH for a $125 discount because Keene needed trucks. While speaking with Complaints, I was informed that the Keene, NH, location was not accepting truck returns. As my delivery point was Rindge, I returned the truck to the Rindge, NH U-Haul location, easily accessible and accepting returns. The representative there told me that his U-Haul software program assigned me a $105 incorrect return location charge. After your representatives hit me with the Offer and Switch and the Run-Around Policy of Company Greed, please be certain that I will share my experience with your company; furthermore, if your company bills me an additional $105 for returning to the wrong location (Rindge, NH fewer than 10 miles from my delivery point) after promising at $125 discount for returning to Keene, NH (an inconvenient further distance and then declaring that location not accepting trucks), I will dispute your unethical, obviously greed-motivated actions vigorously. With customer treatment like this, news of your reputation is spreading.annie H.
