They had given our reserved appliance dolly to someone else so we didn't get what we reserved more than a week earlier. Caused a major problem and delays. We tried to borrow from someone then they weren't home. Ended up having to drive back to town and buy one. Lost about 3 hours then it started raining. We had to change our reservation to add more time and it cost us another day's charges. Also, the checkout was terrible. Pictures we were supposed to approve were too dark and small to see anything so I had to disapprove all and take my own pictures and upload them. I liked it better on paper. That cost me about 15 minutes. Other than that, it was fine. If we didn't absolutely have to move that weekend, I would have canceled the truck when they didn't have the dolly I reserved way ahead of time. They told me someone from one of the other U-Haul stores came and took it before we got there even though they told them it was reserved. We had to buy a regular dolly and both of us are paying the price in injuries.Angelique R.

I reserved a 5x8x9 unit online for $65 a month. When I arrived to move in after driving over 1000 miles I was informed they do not have units that size at that location. I could choose between a 5x5 (which was too small) or a 7x11 which was $30 a month more. Also, the unit is the cargo portion of a retired uhaul truck, which I wouldn't mind except it is at least 12 inches off the ground with no loading ramp so everything had to be lifted up in to the unit. If I had known any of this before I got there I wouldn't have used this facility.Allison Z. | First Impressions
The timeline to get the Ubox loaded and back to the uhaul store did not allow time to have the box delivered to my house . So, we arranged to pick up the box . There was no mention. Of needing to bring a trailer . Mg husband arrived to pick up the ubox snd was told that location only had one trailer for uboxes snd the one was out for a few more days . He had to drive back an hour to pick up a trailer and return an hour to pick up the ubox . Once it was filled it traveled to Parkersburg West Virginia without problem . The moving company contacted there to deliver the ubox had much difficulty in the pickup from the uhaul location. . The moving company called multiple times to make contact about the box pickup snd never reached anyone or received a callback . On the morning of the pickup the moving company had to wait about an hour snd a half to get helped snd then to locate the ubox that for a while could not be found . Finally, when the movers arrived at my location with the ubox when I went to unlock the security lock on thd box with my key the movers discovered that the uhaul location had loaded the box backwards on the trailer and the door could not be opened all of the way. Luckily there was not large furniture items in the box or it could not have been unloaded through the reduced opening . The moving company did a really good job snd the uhaul coordinator on the telephone did a good job of setting everything up . There were just problems along the way at the two uhaul centers .JULIE F.

The girl that was there when I picked it up was very rude, not friendly at all! Neither was the girl when I dropped it off, she was worse! I will never ever use this location ever again. We were frustrated because we had to spend 20 minutes going over the truck marking previous damage that had not been identified by Uhaul because the rep told us we would be charged for any unmarked damage as soon as we returned the truck. My reservation was set for a different location and reserved online with the 50.00 guarentee. Not only did they not have my truck they did not honor the 50.00 guarentee. The location above which received my reservation because that location did not have my truck. Was poorly staffed with 2 rude women more interested in their phones than me The truck had less gas in it then they marked when i pointed it out she told me so what take a picture and dispute it on review. We had our stuff in storage for a long time. Over the years, the U-Haul team was alway helpful and engaged. We are moving across the country so we don't need our storage unit any longer. We did buy moving materials and a bike carrier. The staff helped us with our purchases. We will miss this U-Haul. It's a great business. The current crew is fantastic. There are roaches everywhere in the storage units, my air controlled storage room has a window with broken glass and a beam running right across it and I had to pay the full amount for half the space I got. The door is very feeble so it can be easily broken but gets stuck when I try to open it. I was assigned a unit on the second floor. There is no elevator, so I had to carry every item up a flight of stairs, and when I move out, my things will be carried down the flight of stairs. The trolleys are useless if the customer has to unpack them to get their belongings upstairs to their unit. My advice would be to install an elevator.Casey R. | First Impressions
