Staff members have been very awesome and very polite to me and helping me with my storage needs. I would highly recommend coming here to be able to securely put your stuff in a good location if you're in the middle of a move or dealing with in between housing there's quite a few that I would like to be able to give credibility to there is a worker. I really adore that works here as always been helpful along the way to Talara as well as Danelle who I dearly mis as she is no longer there. I will definitely be recommending my colleagues and friends to U-Haul for the storage and moving needs. Thank you guys so much for everything you've done for me and moving forward looking forward to doing business with you in the near future

I was highly satisfied with the service I received from the Buford uhaul located by mall of GA. 3556 Buford Dr. Cantrell (for the truck rental) and the gentleman that closed out my storage unit was absolutely amazing. I mean I was blown away with their service. Big difference from the location down the street which by the way is absolutely terrible! I appreciate Cantrell and a the gentleman that move out of my storage his name started with an N I can't remember it but my God they are great employees and truly an asset to the uhaul company. Thank you both for such OUTSTANDING service! God bless you both in all your endeavors!
Waneka T.Rented a 10' truck. The cab was extremely dirty, grimy. Steering wheel cover was off so the soft padding was what you needed to hold on too. The inside windows where very dirty. The outside windows has some sort of film on them. Not sure what it was, but did not come off with wipers. Had to clean windows before I could begin my trip. Seats where dirty and grimy. Very disappointed in the condition of this truck. I've rented from U-Haul before and never had this experience. The facility I rented from was very nice. I never would imagine U-Haul would allow a truck to go out in this condition. Not a very good representation of your company. I would only recommend because of location.

For the price that I paid I expected better than that for the 2 hrs that I had it. Your other location on Buford dr has much better quality trucks for the same price

John L. | Overall ExperienceI called in to reserve storage however the person made a mistake, however I sympathize because no one is perfect. My pick up date for truck rental was July 11,2022 and I was traveling from Florida to Georgia on July 13,2022. However the mistake was that the storage move in date was placed to July 11,2022. When I got to the storage facility they said that there is no reservation for me. I showed the reservation number and then I and one of the staff member realized that the date was for the 11th and not the 13th. Their office was closing at 7 and I got there 6:30, I then ask what can they do to help I guy said he would have to rebook a storage and told me the cost, I then told him my rental qualified me for free storage for one month, he told me that since I'm not dropping the truck off there I can't get a month free. However after that he then said that he has no storage available and what he has is reserved for other people and that he will check the neighboring store to see if they have anything and he said they don't. By this time I was very frustrated. I asked if I could leave truck there overnight and they said no I would have to park at Walmart. So I had no storage and no where to park the truck with my belongings. Also I had paid movers to help me unpack and had to send them away because I had no storage. The store manager on duty at the time dealt with my wife and I very coldly and unprofessional and he also lied to us. I then proceeded to call Customer service and was transferred twice till I finally got someone who could help 42 minutes later. I spoke with a guy name Nicholas who was very very very nice who told me that one thing I can do is to use the uhual website and go to rent now and I was able to get a storage at 3556 Dacula Rd, Dacula GA. Also there was spaces like that at the storage I went to first which is 3804 Dacula Rd, Dacula GA. The manager at this location is very very very unprofessional and has no sympathy for his customers.
Ah keel L. | Online Move InUnclear Experience The customer service at this location was honestly displaced. Policies unclear, No Walkthrough on truck, Transaction process very unclear, the Contract for rental is not explained in any detail. The first associate we encountered upon arrival didn't even leave her chair during the entire interaction except to pass us an item that was behind the desk. She just told us “the truck is parked over there†and nearly forgot to give us the keys. She never went outside with us. We were due a $14.99 refund because we cancelled some items we no longer needed. (Which still has not posted). Outside of the rental office there were some raggedy mattress carts with large signage saying “Free courtesy use of U-Haul†“pay $15 if you don't return†nothing more, nothing less, no additional rules explained. So, being that they were not in the rental area and sitting outside an unlocked door we rolled one onto the truck. There was no walkthrough to operate the 20 ft truck or explain anything pertaining to its operation. No hazards, no warnings, no safety tips. Just a girl sitting in her chair with a bland attitude. After not being able to use cash (in the morning) or the original card which the deposit was paid from, we had to pay with another card. If we used the same card we would have to pay an additional $100 deposit to get the truck, not $80 to account for the deposit we already made. This policy was never shown on paper. The total came to $89.92, and we were asked to bring the truck back with 1/4 a tank of gas even though we only received it with 1/8. Upon arriving to return the U-Haul at 6 pm, 30 minutes early, we forgot a $7 furniture dolly at our house about 2 miles away so we went to retrieve it. By the time we returned the two new associates there had authorized another refund without our permission because “they checked us in too early†without the small furniture dolly, which we notified them we were going to retrieve for a short moment before we left. Everything else in tact, all of the equipment was returned including the truck with extra gas (with 2022 summer prices), there was no reason to believe we were lying, especially considering we had already overpaid for everything that morning. The refund they processed with even notifying us was for $30 less than what we paid. Only $61, then upon returning with the dolly in no less than 10 minutes, after we found out that they tried to refund us, they charged my card again for the previous total price which we had already paid plus an additional $15 because we took the mattress dolly that was outside the office “without their permission� After asking them about the signage they said they didn't know we took it until they saw it on camera and that we were not supposed to take it. Despite no proper explanation or signage indicating what they said I let them use their defunct logic to keep from making a stir. So now my account is emptied thanks to their blunders, and then the transaction they are trying to make to cover the cost of the order is declined because the money (which we already paid) is gone, and the refund they processed unauthorized was not posted. Then they try to overdraft my account for $61? We don't even know why the price has changed nearly 4 times. Then they tell us we cannot leave until we have paid them? So then we have to spend $71 in cash to close the order and the mattress dolly is not represented anywhere on the receipt. We have had a truly grueling experience and now we are out of over $150 for a transaction that should have costed $61 dollars flat after my gas credit of $23.40 for bringing the truck back over fueled. Today, I awake to find that not only have none of the refunds they owed posted to our accounts, but they are no longer represented on the transaction list for my account. This leads me to believe that they canceled the refund after we left. It is no longer pending. We have decided to handle this situation through our bank given the unclear behavior of the associates at this location. Truly saddening.

When asked the staff - their response was if we purchased the insurance... we pushed and it was escalated to the manager but we never heard anything back. Unacceptable for the amount of money we paid every month - especially with the recent price increases. We will be leaving negative reviews on google and other sites for this facility.

Moving forward I will ensure any rental is always for 24 hours, even if I only need it for a short period of time. I have never been charged this way before at other locations, and I will likely never rent from this location again.

I was going home as I was told earlier no one would be there after 6:30. I was charged an entire extra day and had the equipment returned by 8:50AM that next morning. No one told me I'd be charged an extra day. Stay open later to accommodate your customers. Horse shit!! I'll be leaving reviews everywhere too!
Stephanie R.Concerns: I asked when we moved in if rent ever increased and how it worked and was told unit rental never went up. As of this year; all 4 units I had at this location had price increases so this is the main reason we are closing. We moved from cube-smart to avoid this way of storage business. The Access doors to building were not wide enough for our usage, has an uneven pavement that makes usability less than desirable. We did witness one couple having sex inside of unit and also an outside unit is occupied by street racers possibly and they have scared us off of the grounds more than one time; very suspicious activity inside our building (our building unit; 5087) that we would HIGHLY suggest security and monitoring. It is obvious that they and their suspicious-invited guests are there. On closing of unit 5087; the office staff was away during hours, closed due to possible no staff and sign read for us to visit neighboring U-Haul in same city if we needed truck rental or new unit, then we called 1800uhaul to report we had unit clean and needed to close and was told we HAD to close out unit in-person to sign close out required forms. Was able to come to office the next day to close out in-person as indicated and we did not have to sign just gave a verbal request and showed picture of unit cleaned and emptied. Positives: Building kept at great temperatures, no signs of insects, overall clean and lighting okay. Staff at store always professional. In Summary: Thank you for your service to our family. We appreciate the hard work invested by management and most of the staff that have been professional with us there. I know some offenses may be outside of your control but you need to know that price increase and our concerns of the security risks is the biggest 2 reasons for us closing this unit. We have 3 other units that we will be closing soon because we need a safer option when visit our storage units. I would suggest watching/monitoring cameras so that you may call-in suspicious activities that are happening at this location. Thank you again.

They called the Bulford facility and made a resveration for 10x20, which I needed for the 26' truck. I was told they didn't have a 10x20, only a 10x15. So I made a decsion to use the 10x15 and pursue another facility. The claused me stress, gas, and time.

The unit management will be transferred to another person once we can get it straightened out, but it inflexibility of the system prevented me to do what I intended. When is it ever necessary to get an image of both sides of a driver's license, for example? Once we were registered for the space, the communication from the system and the space were all excellent. The people I spoke with were also helpful.
Timothy B. | Online Move InThe reason I say average, has nothing to do with the Buford location, Its the location at 4211 Mcever Rd Oakwood Ga. I had reserved my truck AND a unit 2 wees prior to moving. But when I went to the office, Josh told me there was no unit!! It really put me in a bind and had to move my stuff out of my way to the Buford location. Josh was "supposed" to discount the price of the truck rental but I didnt see any discount. I had reserved a ground floor unit at that location , a mile from my home. But instead, I had to movie 15 miles out of my way, to a 3rd floor unit. Just goes to show you people dont care about their jobs or helping these days. Other than that, the experience was stressful!

I was discussed and went to the Lawrenceville Swanson facility, and they did not ask for such ridiculous requirements, just a contact phone.

Got there Saturday morning and the clerk tells me my reservation had changed (I was not notified) and told me to call uhaul.. did not attempt to help me a bit.. went to the Buford drive location. The clerk helped me, but the only 12x 6 they could locate was an hour drive away.. had to settle for a 5 x 8 at another location.. very disappointed at the way this was handled.. I will use someone else next time

The golf cart at this location wasn't working so she walked all the way down the hill to the back of the facility to bring up my cargo van!! She was very patient with me and answered all of my questions with a big smile (which I saw in her eyes because she was wearing a mask) I wish all U-Haul employees would follow her example of excellent customer service!!!

My credit card was left in the store and the location was closed by the time I came back up from checking the unit. I called the store number to leave a message and was transferred to customer service where they reserved me a bigger unit, over the phone. Kimberly R. | First ImpressionsI reserved a first floor 10 by 10 climate controlled unit a month in advance online. I left Florida at 4 AM to be sure to make office hours. When I arrived, I was told there was no more climate controlled units and my only alternative was a non- climate controlled one. When I explained this was unacceptable, the receptionist was amazing. She walked around the entire climate controlled areas and found one with a tag saying it was clean and ready but was not yet updated in her computer. Amazing service and commitment!!! She helped us find the easiest path to unload and was helpful in every way humanly possible. As she was so great, I apologize for forgetting her name, but attribute this to my exhaustion.

You all know how painful it can be ... but what a breath of fresh air when I met Danielle and her team at this facility. Been with them for over year and 6 months Its new, its clean, its well kept, the staff is helpful, nice, always willing to accommodate. They actually "call back" when they say they do. This is probably the 5th time that I have used a storage facility and I have never felt compelled to write a review until here. They deserve the kudos and just wanted to share my experience with others. One last note, I went a note stating we are leaving as I am moving into my new house. On past experiences, Id have to go back.. do a walkthrough with staff and make sure it's clean, etc. This time - They did this for me, I didn't even ask. They called me stating they saw my space, it was clean. Sent me an email with my final receipt without me even asking , thanked me for my business. Amazing. What more can you ask for?

We were supposed to also pickup a 15' uHaul truck from this location and they failed to tell us until we arrived at the facility that it must now be picked up in Oakwood, GA (15 miles away). This caused our moving to be very chaotic and not go as planned.

Victor R. | Overall ExperienceThe workers were very friendly and tried their best to be helpful. However, they were not well trained, so the process was a disaster. I understand that you have to hire new people and train them, but they should not be allowed to work with the public alone until they are fully prepared to do so. That was not the case. One of the workers had a better idea of what was going on but couldn't handle two customers at one time. It took over an hour to rent a unit, and still was not done correctly as now I have to go back again to sign the contract that they never had me sign originally. The other customer next to me was there longer than I was trying to rent a unit. The staff was very nice and apologetic, but it was still a very frustrating experience to say the least.
Lauri S. | First ImpressionsEveryone there Sunday was nice , but it was a nightmare . I was directed to another facility to get a truck and then redirected back to the one by the mall but it was chaos because no one was educated on how to get things done efficiently . One person was brand new and the other was partially new , I went there 3 times that day and it was horrific because they were extremely busy and didn't have enough help . I do like the facility because the other African American young lady always goes above and beyond to help . This day she was helping them over the phone but it still was a very horrendous experience . If I was not I a desperate need to move my things I would have walked out . The other facility in front of the Walmart is worse , they are lazy and does not ever try to help you there , I try my best to truly avoid that one at all cost . The manager needs to be replaced or needs to be educated on how to run these stores correctly . This was the worst experience ever dealing with an storage facility in my 43 years of living !!!
MELISSA J. | First ImpressionsManagement needs to properly train the employees. They were pleasant but completely helpless; it took 40 minutes to return the truck I rented. Also need to do a better job PMCS'ing the truck. Thumping the tires with a stick will not tell you that one is 50 psi low and leaking! The truck had trouble starting constantly and the steering wheel had to be turned about 1/3 to the left to keep it straight. They did not have any more trucks and could not or would not secure me another one. The location is clean and nice but fundamentally useless.
Alexander H.Manager lost the vehicle keys for my reservation. One hour waiting for him to find key while I had moves waiting for me. Also manager said I need some weed. Very unprofessional. Horrible experience. Never will return to that location..
