I recently experienced an elevator out at my storage unit and U-Haul conveniently gave me access to a closer location for one month until my unit becomes available. Isn't that awesome?

CHARLES LMy truck was stuck in tow mode, so that probably didn't help the gas mileage. The back of the box truck had broken glass in it.

Guy GPositive experience overall, the staff were helpful and accommodating when I needed to make a change. However only 1 of 2 elevators were working during my move-in and there was only 1 cart available, and at the same time 3 parties were trying to move in which caused traffic jams.

MARGARET SI reserved a 8x 11x8 unit on street level. Instead, I got 2 small units that apparently together equal the one I requested. Additionally, I received 1 lock instead of 2. To further add to my disappointment and lack of professionalism by U-Haul, the unit I was given was in the basement. A clear "I don't give a crap about the customer" by this facility.

GREGORY GI couldn't rent a truck for three days I'm in from Tucson AZ were I rent truck for three days and hear they told so much bull shit it's unbelievable I was told I could only get it for eight hours. I left and I called to make a reservation for the truck and got one the next day I tried to call and get ok to keep it no one answered the phone then someone called and asked when I was bringing it back then they call back and say there is someone waiting on me to bring it back the staff seems to be angry at the world and won't tell you the rules and when I finally heard the rules it's a joke I should rent it for a day bring it back and make reservations every day because they're in demand so I have to make reservations every day and bring the truck back and make another reservation for the next day every day I have to burn my time and energy I'm heat one a shopping trip I have never heard of such bullshit from such a large and company I know everyone is smarter than me but if want a truck for two or three days you should be able to get a truck for three days and not be treated like shit asked what do you want it for it's a joke I have never heard of having to make a reservation and you can't make a three day reservation what the use it's sad way to run a company IT REALLY NEED TO BE PUT RIGHT LIKE THE RRST OF THE COUNTRY U HAUL LOCATIONS

TIERRA PMy reservation was not fully fulfilled. Caused hours of extra work on my part. Had to skip Thanksgiving due to missing equipment. Horrible experience. Staff was feed up for the day, one worker was suppose to help me and just walked outside didn't help and started cussing.

RONALD RI was way over charged. The staff was very unusually strict and made it hard to get a vehicle. I asked for a whole day and was given 2 hours then charged a late flee plus extra for an all day vehicle when it was supposed to be the same price anyways. Total scam.

TREVOR REverything was smooth like a flowing river. The young lady who assisted us was knowledgeable in the amount of time we would a tually need the truck. She was kind and very professional. The truck was easy to locate on the lot and the facility was very clean.

ROBERT BCommunication i was under the impression the vehicle cost the same base rate per day boy was i surprised to find out it apparently costs whatever random number they decide to make up that day which unfortunately for me was 4.5x's as much for day 2 $20 for day one plus mileage $95 for day 2 ...biggest scam I've ever had pulled on me in my life but it's OK cuz I'll never forget the face of the guy behind the counter and one day we'll meet again

Upon the General Manager's recommendation I had to spend $30 more than expected. The issue is, I could have reserved a facility that was nicer, more room and cost less than what I paid. I am extreme dissatisfied that I had to pay $115 for this ridiculous and extremely dirty facility. On a scale from 1-10, it's a solid 1. In addition, I miss my flight yesterday due to the manager telling me that instead of getting the storage on Tuesday as reserved, he recommended, it would be better to get it Wednesday which gave me very little time to turnaround everything. Consequently, I would have known on Wednesday it was not what I wanted and go elsewhere.

I'm a senior citizen, and I have a health condition that doesn't allow me to go through this without causing a flare up.

On the 11th I received a call from an employee asking if I moved out. I said yes and that I told them I was 5 days earlier. She said the manager told her to refund the month, however I hadn't been charged. She said ok and thanked me. The next morning I woke to a charge of $99.95 on my debit card. I called the location and the manager said that he remembered me and agreed that he was refunding the rent. After over 40 minutes on the call, the manager advised that he was refunding the rent but he was having software issues and would call me back in 10 minutes. It's been if over 48 hours and no call back and no refund. I've called the last two days and can't get anyone to answer.

Ben U | First ImpressionsThey locked me out of my personal possessions almost immediately, because I "didn't use the proper type of padlock." This was after I had been assured that I could use my own lock, the exact one I used. They offered to give me a free lock… and never did. Multiple times, my key card would not let me into the building during the posted access hours and I was told to just try again later. I lost my job at one point, requested access to my unit so that I could remove an item that I desperately needed at the time, and they refused to let me in. I have now been stripped of the vast majority of all my possessions. All my son's baby memorabilia, family heirlooms, my furniture, all of the audio engineering equipment I had purchased over several decades. I pretty much hate this company with every beat of my heart. What a predatory scam. It feels like UHaul gleefully ripped my soul out of my body and is now asking whether I enjoyed it.

So overall a very mixed bag.

I purchased insurance on this unit, but even if I should receive the full insurance payment, it won't be enough to replace all the stolen appliances. Additionally, of the boxes that remained, several were water-damaged, in spite of the fact that this facility was meant to be temperature and humidity controlled.
