The truck was left at a quarter of a tank for pickup. This forced me to go and fuel up before I could even begin moving things. I utilized the App for pick up. It was incredibly slow and buggy. Anytime you would have to upload a picture it took way too long. I have a very modern smartphone with LTE in the middle of a large city.Melissa G.

My issue is with the UHaul site, not the actual location. The Kaliste Saloom location was helpful and friendly. The problem is the online site is not in sync with what is actually happening in the store.CRYSTAL G.
The manager was excellent however the unit I originally reserved was not available when I got there to sign and pay. Thankfully the manager had another unit available to suit my needs. I would highly recommend the manager for promptly making it right. I seems there is a communication disconnect between physical U-Haul storage facilities and the online service. The online service just lets people reserve units that are not physically available. U-Haul should talk to the physical store before allowing reservations. This very well could have become a very bad review because I drove an hour and a half to get there after I spoke to the U-Haul customer support center that confirmed everything was good to go. Thank goodness that the manager there was able to get me into a unit regardless. Some people may not be so lucky in the future. U-Haul should communicate with the facility manager to confirm the number of units available for reservations before letting customers book a reservation. I gave 4 stars because I didn’t have to go find another place to bring my truck load of stuff. The staff at the facility deserves 5 STARS! The online customer support deserves 2 STARS for not actually confirming my reservations with the facility staff when I asked for a confirmation before making the trip and told me the unit was available. If I had gotten there with all my things and the manager couldn’t rectify the problem I most probably would have never done business with U-Haul again because of the false confirmation I received from the support center.Jake M. | First Impressions
Only thing I can think of is to put a traffic light at your location. LOL it was hard to get in and out of there. But people are friendly and very helpful explaining how to use the dolly I rented. All in all this was a wonderful experience and saved me a butt load of money not having to call a tow truck.KERNEY L.

I pick up this truck from this location after my original rental location did not have the 26' truck I had rented. While this location tried to be helpful, I the end up have to rent a second truck from a another location. Trace at the Lafayette, LA location was exceptional and gets a superior rating. He was the only pro-active person during our pre-pick-up experience. We were running a little late for our 8:00 a.m. scheduled pick up, and Trace called to check on us. He was knowledgeable and helpful during the entire pick up process. On the other hand, your phone center is the worst example of "customer service" I have ever experienced. After calling what I thought was the local Lafayette phone number on the day before the scheduled pickup, I was transferred 3 times and held for 15 minutes before speaking to someone who could answer a simple question. We have not used U-Haul in over 20 years, and the confirmation of a pick-up location (or lack thereof) until less than 24 hours prior to pick up leaves the person renting the trailer feeling in a state of flux. The equipment was clean, but an upper rub rail on the driver's side of the trailer had been replaced with a 1 x 2 piece of lumber??LORAINE S.

The delivery in Tucson was delayed 5 days, and then pickup was delayed another 4 days because the driver got sick, so I ended up having the Ubox 32 instead of 23-28 days. Although UHaul said I would not be charged for a 2nd month, I was charged. I was then told I would get a refund, but it's been almost a week and I haven't gotten the refund. This is very disappointing, and unless it's rectified, I will not be able to recommend UHAUL, despite the courteous service in Lafayette.John B.

My truck was not ready on time. We were delayed by 2 hours. The location did provide a discount to rental services to assist with inconvenience. The customer service prior to dealing with this location was quite an ordeal. We were switched locations without being notified, as we had to call to get an update. Multiple emails provided incorrect expectations form our end. Kaliste Saloom location is very unprofessional. They salesperson did not explain everything that I could possibly be charged for. The only thing that she explain was the fee that I agreed upon about if I was to possibly get into an accident and my belongings would be covered.LANI F.
My overall experience with uhaul itself was horrible I was told to go pick up my rental from another location which I went to. Upon arrival tried using the phone check in which showed an error on uhaul's side. I called customer service waited for 45 mins spoke to someone who transferred me to absolutely no one. So i was stuck at square one no rental and no one there at the place to help and the phone customer service center hung up on me for a second time. I had to leave the location and go to another location to get a second truck all the while the people I was paying to help me move waited for me for almost an hour because of y'all error.JEREMY B.

The in office workers acted as though it was an inconvenience to answer and respond to questions. I was told my storage was ground level, however it was not, then the garage bay door nearest the steps I had to carry my belongings up was broke so that meant I had to move my stuff from an even further location. I also turned in the u haul prior to their end of day yet they marked the van as not being turned in until the next day.
