Have you ever seen that Seinfeld episode where he makes a reservation for a vehicle and they don't have the car. You know how to take reservations Seinfeld said but you cannot keep a reservation and keeping a reservation is the most important thing about taking a reservation. I made a reservation to pick up U-Haul 10:30 in the morning at Montana Street on a Sunday when I get a call from a young man on a Saturday night informing me that the U-Haul is not going to be ready until 3:30 p.m. not his problem not his business not his company sorry Charlie too bad too sad basically for lack of words. He said he did me a favor by calling around and asking other U-Haul storage centers and he got me the one at the other place the one we're talking about right now. If this reservation has been broken I would have lost a lot of money I had workers lined up and I would have definitely sued uhaul for over $5,000 for damages from a broken contract. I utilized the online check-in and vehicle pick-up. At the counter, I presented the verification on the phone and was ignored by a customer service rep. that was occupied on the computer, the 2nd customer service rep. said someone else could help me because he was busy, and the 3rd customer service rep. took a very long time to "verify" my rental before handing me the keys hanging on the wall behind him. I do not believe that it should be my responsibility to have to take a picture of all damages. That cuts into my time. What are you paying your employees for? Not every body has a smart phone. When approaching the Manager with this issue he said the only option was to purchase insurance. Why would I do that, because UHaul went all digital. Not in everyone's favor except yours. When I made the reservation I was told that U-Haul personnel would attach the car to the dolly as part of the rental agreement, and because I am disabled, this was very important to me. When I arrived, the gentleman told me that he â€œdoesn't do it for free anymoreâ€, and charged me for doing it. I had no choice, because I needed to get the car loaded and couldn't do it myself, so I paid, but I feel that U-Haul was dishonest with me during the reservation and ended up charging me extra for something that they told me would be free.Dennis C.

Excellent because the service did what I wanted, and that was to store my belongings until I was ready to move. What I didn't like was some service issues, like an outdoor storage was the only one made available for me & my stuff had sand & dust all over it, which blew in from outside. That same clerk was being quite difficult & almost indifferent with my questions regarding the storage. That same counter clerk told me, on another day, that he would be with me in a moment, while he had a customer at the counter. However, a female customer came up as I had, and the same clerk assisted her right away, while still being busy with that same male customer. Other employees were helpful, when I discovered damage on my door & reported it to them. Also, I didn't like the storage fee going up five bucks and didn't prorate me a refund when I moved my stuff out, which would have been done prior to rent due date if it wasn't for the monsoonal flooding and lightning taking place. I have used UHaul many times in the past 60 years. When I rent a truck one of the requirements is to return it with a full gas tank. This was not required with the pickup truck we used for one day. When we picked it up the low fuel light was on. Records show it had 1/8th tank of gas. Not so. Could we make it to a gas station? Fortunately we did. I returned the truck with half a tank of gas. Why don't you require a pickup be returned with a full tank of gas? Not doing so causes an extra burden on the next borrower. Also, the "Oil Change Required" light was on. I know you realize how important maintaining your equipment is. Also, the left rear backup light was inoperative.IRMA S.

Originally, I had a storage unit reserved but when I drove from Florida and arrived in El Paso to the storage facility, they said they didn't have any available (I was lied to). I had to drive around until I found a U Haul facility and after several hours they finally found a storage unit and finally accepted the turn in (return) of my rental truck. I ordered a car trailer to carry a vehicle. I called weeks ahead, I called a week ahead to double check to make sure their were no problems, and I called the same day to make sure their was no problems. When I got to facility, I was told they did not have the right trailer...after I called and they told me it was their. that now means I have to find my way to an airport 2hrs from my new home and fly back to El paso, and pick up my car and drive back to my new home, and take off work to do so. This is incredibly difficult and I am still trying to figure out who will watch my animals, how will I get two hours to airport, and the endurance of making that drive all over again.RACHELLE M.

The only complaint I have is the recommendation to get a 15 foot truck for a 2 bedroom apartment. It was way, way, way too small. I had to rent a second truck to take stuff to storage that wouldn't fit. I was moving across the country so this means I will need to make a second trip to get the rest of my stuff. I spent a lot of money on the first truck plus movers. It really sucks that I'm going to have to do it twice.Hope M.

The first unit I was given was occupied so I was assigned to another. I had also wanted to get a larger unit than the one reserved line and told there were none available although walking through I saw several with the green tags indicating they were vacant. Now I will need to get an additional unit to fit the rest of my household items. Lois Ramos was extremely rude! I was quoted a higher price for my storage unit. I walked in and the sign said 109 for 10x10. Ramos said no that's for the 1st floor. I stated it doesn't say that. Ramos said oh our prices changed that's not for climate control. I said the sign also says 5 dollars more. Ramos again made another excuse now telling her coworker to pull the sign down at the same time gets up out of her chair aggressively rips the sign down and says the price is wrong and she can't do anything about it. I asked for my unit cost to be adjusted and she said she could not change it. I asked for a manager and she pushed her chair out rudely making an eye roll grabbing her cell phone and walking outside making a secret conversation. She came back saying no ! store manager Cj Padilla said you can go to another facility or pay the fee. I explained that the sign clearly stated the amount and my sister's recorded her removing the sign. She said that's not her sign and she didn't do anything wrong and she doesn't appreciate me speaking to her that way. I said I'm sorry if I am requesting what any normal logical person saw on the sign . She then said well I'm not changing it. I stated I would make a complaint and will continue with the transaction. Ramos cancelled my transaction and said you can go to another facility. I stated I again what I just said. I requested for someone else to assist me since she was clearly being rude and aggressive and frustrated I didn't want anything wrong added to my charges and the setup going awry. The then said in the tone welllll now I have to do everything all over again!!!!!! Requesting all my information again rudely. I asked to check my uhaul truck rental in and she rudely pulled up my day to return it and said it needs to be returned by Friday at 6 pm. I said I wanted to do the transaction since I was already standing in line for 30 mins. Ramos rude again said NO you need to unload your truck pull it to the front and then come back. Clearly again she did not provide any customer service and made the check out procedure complicated. Upon walking up to my storage unit it had a green zip tie around the lock hole. We had to use a knife to cut it and the alarms went off. There was a man next to us and gave us a stare like we just broke in to a unit. Embarrassed was all we felt. If Ramos was professional with any type of good customer service I would not be providing a negative review on how my service was. I would never recommend this facility ever!! Also they tried to charge me 30 dollars for gas when the Sotero checked my truck in. Saying you filled it up more than you needed I'm not sure why it's saying that. I asked for a 5 x 10 and was given a 5 x 5 they were able to upgrade to the correct unit but it didn't give me enough time to use a sliding doors was advised would get a 24 axis for the day that evening and would be removed the next day but was still unable to use the sliding doors due to code not working no one was available due to already being after hours. you have zero mask adherence inside your building. there are people taking the elevator and walking down the aisle with no masks and no one there to enforce the mask wearing. I wouldn't be surprised if some covid cases could be traced back to your building. I also found a rat poison box in my unit i would like verification i will not be getting the poison on my storage unit items or Hantavirus. My storage LOCK was OPENED by UHAUL staff with out telling me how, why and when ? My lock was left inside the storage with the latch still attached as closed lock. . I broke the original key to the new uhaul lock trying to open it, Nobody knew it was changed. This is wrong and this is invasion of my privacy. Camper and while parking it, another renter was hindering my parking. staff happily reassigned me, but reassignment slot was also not usable for my needs due to construction of parking. Besides having issues with the cancellation process, it was extremely inconvenient when flooding in the building happened and was informed that I had to go in person within the next 24 hours. I work business hours during the week so luckily the next time I went to my storage, your office was still open. I barely made it in time to find out my lock for my storage unit had been changed. I rented a unit that on the example of the unit I rented had a price point of 104.95 plus your online website also has that price plus if it's on the 3rd floor you get a free lock. I was told that there were no more of the 104.95 units and that it would be 119.95.
