The reservation experience was the worse ever. Could never actually contact anyone in the stores. The call center gives incorrect information. I was given a truck for an out of state move that didn't have cruise control and spent $1500 on gas. I returned the truck a day early and was charged more money for going over miles when I thought my move provided me unlimited. Never will I use uhaulGerard G.

I had to wait for service, I was not charged properly, the rep that tried to help wasn't accurate, not to mention after hours roadside assistance took forever and didn't help with my issuePenny L.
Had a fantastic experience today. From start to finish, this transaction was exemplary and the kind that exceeds the highest expectations. I was afraid I'd run late and called the store to warn them (I ended up being on time). A live person answered the phone first ring and was efficient in assisting. When I showed up, the check-in process was quick and simple. The young lady behind the counter was very professional. I was running behind for a meeting where I'd need the trailer. Much to my surprise, there were two other trailers being hooked up when I walked out the door. I thought I'd be late to my meeting. Nope. One of the personnel who had been behind the counter inside came out and quickly got me hooked on. Trailer was clean and cruised great. I was able to make meeting and return trailer just a few hours later. Again, immediately upon my entry onto the property, someone was there to help me out. I backed trailer in and the gentleman, very polite, quickly helped unhook the trailer and get me on my way. All U-Hauls are going to help you into your trailer/vehicle. It is the ones, like this store near Richey Road, that go the extra mile in doing it with a smile, go the extra mile, and are efficient in making sure things are efficient. This location is horrible. I placed a reservation online to be picked up but when I arrived at the location it wasn't there. I spoke with Melissa the GM and quickly forced us in to box truck when we ordered a 2dr pickup truck. Once I realized on the website it says if your reservation is not ready for pickup at your time you would receive a $50 accommodation, I brung it up to Melissa she began to get very rude and loud saying "why would you want that I already helped you, LEAVE." Even calling the male workers around the dealer to throw me out. Extremely unprofessional. Worst Experience Ever.Anthony R.

The lady called me all day behind the truck because she said that other people have taken their vehicles and never brought them back which had nothing to do with me I've been using U-Haul for 2 years moving thing back and forward to my storage or helping friends move storage and to be treated like a criminal is unacceptable the store lead Melissa Mitchell whom called me 5 times from different numbers to make sure I bring the car back and I told her each time that yes I will and she continues to call every hour on the hour and I told her that if you're honing to call and harass me about the car you shouldn't be in charge she is very unprofessional.Kiriomi H.

Melissa was rude and told me that I couldn't return the truck after hours. She said that they did not do that anymore to protect their trucks from being stolen and said I would have return it in person by noon the next day. Yet I would have to leave my new truck at a place they considered unsafe. I have used this location in the past for storage and moving, but I will never use it again or recommend them to anyone. On 07/01/2022, I return the rental truck. The time is 7:47pm. The business's hours of operation say from 8am-8pm on Friday. The door to the business office is locked. I can see the employee on the inside, she can see me. I am pulling on the door handle. She is motioning with her hands that we are closed. But according to the hours of operation with is printed on the window next to the locked door, the business is still open. I am trying to get back my $100.00 deposit. She does not open the door. I do not live in Houston. I live in Waller, TX. It is a 90mile round trip to drive from my home to this Uhaul location. So now I have to drive to this location again on 07/02/2022, to get my $100.00 Deposit. 7:52am on 07/02/2022 I receive a phone call from Uhaul, in regard to my deposit. The man on the phone asked me what time I was coming to get my deposit. I told him around 3pm, on the 07/2/2022. He says great, "we will see you then". I show up to the location around 2:49pm. I approach counter, I see the same woman that would not allow me to come in yesterday. She was at the far-right side of counter, I dealt with the woman on the left side. She was kind and courteous. She looks up and information and tells me Uhaul is going to mail me out a check. She calls her supervisor and as it was explained to me, the Uhaul, upper Management decided to clear their books. All customers that were owed money, would be receiving checks, so they, Uhaul, would have a clean slate for the start of July. So you can have someone call me at 7:52am, to confirm my coming up to the building, wasting my time and gasoline, while gas is $5 per gallon, but you can't have anyone call me to tell me not to come; because the company decided to mail me a check?!! As far as I am concerned Uhaul needs to re-compensate for my gas and time wasted in this whole ordeal.Walter A.

Rented a truck for only 12 hrs on a Saturday. Turn the truck back in as schedule and on that Monday, received calls questioning me about the location of the truck. I explain several times where I parked the truck and put the keys in the key drop off box. Someone had stolen the truck, charge my bank card and changed my return date. Just be careful but I will say this, the employees had great customer service and was trying to get this situation resolved.Pamela J.

My reservation was changed to a U-Haul Truck Share 24/7Â® reservation. After arriving at the location, I tried to use the U-Haul app to self-pickup the truck but the app would not move to the next screen. So I had no choice but to go in and get help from an associate. The associate took an hour to get me out the door. Also, I had reserved 3 dollies but they couldn't find 2 of them. So I had to resort to only having 1 dolly for whole house move. Cody (General Manager) at 16405 I-45 in Houston was very helpful when we had returned our rental of the 15 foot moving van and the auto transport trailer. During our move from Las Vegas to Houston, TX. Cody basically showed us his concerned about our well being during our experience when we encountered a tire blowout on the auto transporter and having to sit and wait for 5 hours in the scorching heat of Texas. Customer Service that Cody provided us was 110% satisfactory and he needs to be cloned 10 times.
