In the two years I had my items in the storage I no issues. But when I went to clean out my storage on June 7,2023, there was NO POWER to my unit and me fridge had MOLD in it. When I asked the Rep., when this had occurred, I was told that the power had been out for a MONTH. When I asked why wasn't notified I was told NO ONE HAD BEEN. There was NO APOLOGY, NO CONPENSATION. I PAID for a Unit that was suppose to be Temperature Control and My last month that was not the case. Your Policy has to change to inform your customers if something happens that will affect the contents of their Unit.

Make sure that the vehicle promised is ready to go. They had to give me another truck and that one had no gas so we had to immediately go get some. Otherwise everything went well and all the employees were nice and helpful.

Everyone was so kind and went above and beyond to assist me, I was a nervous wreck with losing my aunt on Thursday and having to clean her house out, they understood my situation and went above and beyond to make sure I rented the appropriate truck as well as boxes and packaging equipment 😊 I will definitely recommend this location

My pickup was a Sunday morning. There was only one cashier, and she was swamped! Numerous customers were there without a reservation, and the check-in process was slow. A second cashier to handle folks with reservations would be helpful. Speaking of helpful, the Outside Technician who hooked up / unhooked my trailer was awesome!!

Too crowded. Not enough staff. There were 7 people in line. 2 left. Waited 20 minutes to be helped and they pulled me out of line and waited on me before anyone else because I was returning. The man ahead of me waited 30 minutes and 4 people were ahead of him . He said he just wanted to buy boxes.

Actually do the work and do correctly. After 6 1/2hrs of being at location they basically pushed me out the door because it was closing time. When I drove down the road and stopped to check everything I still had exposed wires not connected and dragging the road loose wires hanging, and hitch is not straight. Wires weren't even checked to see if worked after job was complete obviously. Lady in office never asked if I wanted anything to eat or drink or snack on etc. Knowing I had been sitting there all day.

The BIGGEST issue I had was with the auto transport. I had one of the associates tie down my jeep. An hour and a half into my drive I pulled over to check it and one of the tire tie downs was completely off, the other was barely on the tire! It was pretty scary. I had to get other people at the gas station help me re-secure my jeep. The Milam location is also notoriously slow when it comes to getting through the line. Staff is mostly nice but usually looks stressed out. There is usually only 1 or 2 people working inside.

When i reserved the truck, it had ½ a tank of gas. So before i returned it, i went to fill it back to ½ a tank so that I wouldn't get charged for not fueing. So the truck had a faulty fuel gauge. It would not fully reach the ½ mark. So i continued to fuel it. I explained it to the general manager, Philip Jarmon, and he didnt even try to work with me. Then i was charged an extra $105 that still has not been returned to my account. Supposed it was a hokd for the difference between when i originally reserved and the total. The other employees said that something could be done, even if it's a credit on another rental. But Philip said he was wasn't doing anything. I just filled it up for the next renter. I will never rent from the UHAUL on Milan in Beaumont again. And the truck felt like it was going to fall apart.

The manager at the location was extremely rude to me I was given a storage without lights then given another one had no lights also and then the third time given one with lights we couldn’t get in do I went to the front office there was 3 employees the manager no one came to help I had to call the 1800 go uhaul for assistance.The experience was horrible

Truck was not ready when promised. Truck stunk to high Heaven and was infested with some kind of flying bug. Truck windshield was dirty, employee told me to use windshield washer button when this was pointed out. (Wrong answer!). There was a biohazard sticker on the drivers door window so somebody knew the truck was dirty. I was given $125 back on a $1500 rental, not enough! U Haul has promised to call me but they have not done so. DO NOT USE U HAUL!!!!!!

The steering on the 17 ft van needs to be checked and repaired. There is a constant need to compensate and overcompensate left and right while driving to maintain Lane position and that can be very dangerous depending on the experience of the driver. I would not let anyone rent that vehicle until that has been addressed.

Customer Service is important in every successful business; no matter the industry. The management and employees at all levels should be quick to notice all patrons. No task on the job should overwhelm management nor employees to the degree that they cannot acknowledge customers; making sure patrons are being serviced. Good products and sales activities, are never considered to be the full spectrum of consistent success. Sometimes, management and employees need to be reminded to "wake up and stay alert" to what all matters to have customer retention. I had to travel 40 miles out of my way rent a truck then on top this I return truck early and ur company gone charge me $20 for overnight fee. One your rep going tell me for convenience of checking in lot trucks in morning. You still have check in that truck regarding I bring in at 8 am. That sound stupid and ripoff to overcharge customer. I will never use your service again and will never recommend to anyone and I've use your services for years and this thanks I get. Never again your company is a rip off.

I made an appointment for wiring install and when I got there the techs had left an hour before. I had to come back the next weekend to tow my card and the tow dolly was in bad shape. Wors E E Hire competent employees. My destination was College Station, TX and dude put down Lafayette, LA for dropoff. Tow dolly was in poor condition with pins and ramps almost immovable and strap ratchets very difficult to operate, all from lack of lubrication. Bree and Ava get top marks for sorting out the dropoff debacle in record time with no aggravation. I'll rent again, no doubt.

1... Thank u for calling u haul please hold and no one ever come back to the line so that I could pay rent. 2... Was unable to change online acct psw and was told manager would have to do that as well as change contact /unit access person but he was never there and again when I called was put on hold. 3... Was suppose to have 24 hrs access and somehow was locked inside the gates unable to leave after store hrs into the wee hours of the morning before finally deciding to try n climb the fence and go find help because I didn't have my cell phone with me. Had to walk alone after midnight down the streets of Beaumont in search of a person or place that would allow me to use their phone to contact your 1800 # so that I could get. My vehicle out and hope n pray my boyfriend believed me when I got home. He didn't and still doesn't. When I told the young ladies working the day after they said they knew the gate was messed up. So why then is there not a sign or why isn't it locked after hours so that this does not happen and they respond oh your not the only one. My point exactly. Not only did this happen to me but to others and it was not safe and very irresponsible of your employees to shrug it off and allow it to continue to occur. So pretty much I have not had a good experience with U-Haul at all and I will never use a U-Haul facility ever again. My truck rental experience too was a disaster. I'm was and still am very much disappointed with not just that location but U-Haul as a whole.

This specific place needs more employees. Everytime I needed to go to the front desk, there have been a 40 min to hour plus wait. Many times 20 to 30 minutes on one customer. I understand stand things takes time but at least hire more people to accomodate the work load.

There was always clutter in the area of my stored RV. With 24hrs of entry I felt my RV was vulnerable. My concerns became a reality. Well over $5000 of equipment was stolen along with damage to my RV. I was later informed that this sort of thing had happened at other u-haul facilities after the fact. Not only the lost of my equipment but not so much as we are sorry this happened but I did get this request for a survey. Don't think this is sour letter but and opportunity to do better. I truly believe 24hr entry is unnecessary. No one is moving at one or two in the morning, it only put honest people property at risk. You could also highlight the need for personal insurance on rentals that require it.

Very poor security without accountability, the complete staff was great, Thank you for your hard work. In 2 years the rent increased almost 35%, with no added benefit to the customer. My trailer was broken into twice at this facility, so the security is very bad and zero accountability by the company, my expenses to repair this trailer were not refunded as there is no insurance available for vehicles that are parked in your facility, basically, you are charging for parking on the street with a fence that does not protect from anything. I am sure that I will use U-Haul in the future, but I will think twice to use this type of storage facility without accountability.

Uhaul is normally convenient and good for me, but the last couple of experiences have not been. In Las Vegas, I was told that a car hauler would be guaranteed as I reserved it 2 weeks in advance for a military move. I also called 3 days in a row preceding the reservation. Two days before my cross country move I was told the reservation could not be honored, forcing me to purchase a trailer for $3,700. I also reserved a 10x15 storage unit with the uhaul 1-800 number, at the location in Beaumont, only to be given a 10x10 unit by the representative at the location, once again inconveniencing the move process.

Went in to rent a storage space for my rv. I was assinged a spot and went to unload. A Uhaul trailer was in the spot. Walked back to the office and spoke to the desk clerk. He said he would be awhile because he had customers. He was the only person on duty. He should have told the customers he would be right back and moved the trailer. He didn't and said i could get a dolly and move it myself. When you wait on a customer prior to other customers you should take care of that customer. Period no excuse for his lack of service. Basically he let me know my problem was my own since he had already collected the money.

I have used Uhaul serveral tines before, i like climate control because it preserves my stuff better. When i moved the place was not dirty. My three main complaints are the storage thermostat said 85 degrees . The exit door at the end of the hall, emergency not the glass door there is a huge gap between the floor and the bottom of the door that air is escaping which contributes to the problem. Now on to the glass door it is broken falling off the hinges literally. The lock n key was in the storage when i arrived which was great! However the storage it self has insulation hanging down from the ceiling in my unit. So when we open the door the particles fly and guess where it's landing yes on the items I stored. I got locked in the gate because it was broken my code not an interning customers code was i for 15-20 minutes, i pressed the intercom and no on answered after several times I tried. . This was upsetting mostly because i couldn't get anyone on the local line or on the customer service . I'm just not use to no customer service like this. Additionally the young lady on the 1800 # was very apologetic and I did appreciate that. She said " I'm very sorry this is not the experience we want you to have with Uhaul" ( she made the difference for me, i was really frustrated) and proceeded to transfer me to another department to handle my complaint. I held on another 10 minutes and I just hung up because that was an extra 30 minutes taken from me moving. I had people helping me. I went back to storage on yesterday and my code didn't work again, so i had to sit in the line and wait till someone could look up my information, i understand that part bUt it really does negate the whole check in not having to wait issue. The young man did give me a card which worked and i did appreciate that . Never the less i am dissatisfied with my unit! I will be moving when my month is over, i don't pay to get insulation particles on me or my stuff nor do I pay for my belongings to be the same temperature as the none climate control. Oh n I never had to sign in at the building ( when entering) so safety is also an issue, just drive your car up and the glass door opens up no code needed. I'm really concerned about this!!

Units flooded- was given a brochure as Contact info for damages. It was not the correct brochure. Items were placed in a storage box and sent to Louisiana. Tried to retrieve box three months in a row. Each time they told me it would be there in two weeks. It was not. I paid 100s in extra storage fees. Customer service over all was rude and dishonest. This did improve the last 60 days.
