We broke down twice and every time the road side service was excellent.

RICHARD MThis was horrible. Absolutely horrible. I stood in line for about an hour only to find out they didn't have the truck I reserved. At least five other people in the store that day also showed up to find that they did not have the truck they reserved. The entire store was a mess and poorly ran. I ended up getting a 26' truck thankfully, but so many others walked away that day with NO TRUCK even though they made the reservation weeks in advance. A pathetic excuse for a rental company. I will never use UHaul again.

Mark SAll of the problems I had were trying to use your website. Using your customers to re-apportion your inventory should be illegal! Demanding that I go to a strange and dangerous urban neighborhood, passing several other dealers for my pick up, and driving many extra miles, in dangerous traffic is outrageous. Then demanding that I drive about 70 miles out of my way, through dangerous construction, passing 3 or 4 other dealers for my drop off, threatening me with a big 'fine' if I drop off at my neighborhood dealer is extortion! I know that REMOTE location. I have tried to rent there before. Driving there, trying to get service, and driving home would WASTE 3-4 HOURS OF MY TIME! It is YOUR job to re-apportion your inventory, NOT MINE. If you want the customer to do your work for you, I SHOULD BE PAID BY YOU. All of this was demanded by your website. I got excellent service at Coldwater for pickup, and at Jefferson street for drop-off, all by doing it directly with the dealers of my choosing and ditching your HORRIBLE internet reservation system.
ROBERT LI got charged $167 more because i was unaware that i had to drop it off at the same location in town. If i had known that i would have drove all the way back across town to take it to the same location. As far as i knew i thought you could drop it off at any location because it is a uhaul facility. I will never recommend uhaul to anyone to move due to the fact that you get charged double for dropping it off at the wrong location. I put gas back in the truck, and still got charged $7 for that and as for the mileage i understand that, gas is even an acceptable fee, but the location charge is absolutely ridiculous.

WESLEY CTo make sure that they have the right destination that they will be dropping the U-Haul off. Mine was supposed to be popular Bluff and I got charged for taking it to the wrong spot which I think it's wrong that they charged me for that.
Wanda SAlso when I arrived back in Fort Wayne at the U Haul full service center on coldwater rd. I was greeted by Brad who was friendly with a smile and a easy check in and drop off. He also brought his A game. A total seamless transaction start to finish.

DOROTHEA SI was overcharged $500 because the mileage was input incorrectly. I only drove the rental van in town for 22.5 miles. The rental receipt states I drove 750 miles. I'll be contacting the location tomorrow (Friday) for a resolution.

There's a lady there that is rude disrespectful not polite. I live on the south side of Fort Wayne and I go all the way up to the cold water one up north drive by U-Haul on Washington Boulevard
DAN BThe gas tank was not full. Which we have photo of.. Tried to put gas back in it and it only took $1.70. We only drove it 12 miles. You charged me $62.00 for gas. Also truck didn't shift correctly and a headlamp was out.....
Jody TMake sure you have a truck ready for pickup at the time it is booked, instead of making someone wait an additional 2hrs past their original pickup time.
DOMINIQUE MThe truck was full of trash, the people checking the truck out/in to me wouldn't even make sure contact while I was waiting for them to help me, the wrong mileage and fuel amount were documented which needed fixed because I was expected to return the gas to its previous full level and paying by the mile. The truck ran well, but that's all I can say that went well.
APRIL KRescheduling customer at the late hour is a terrible thing.

Ryan PWhen picking up van it was filthy inside. Windows and dash and floor was never cleaned. Windshield solvent was bone dry. Outside of van was filthy. Even asked if I could run it through a car wash and maintenance guy said yeah maybe a truck wash. That is not the customers responsibility. The van on the outside of was a dingy grey because of all the dirty and the tinted windows had writing all over them that said "hi" and "wash me". Then you tried to charge me the $25.00 cleaning charge that someone didn't do for me. Instead of asking the last renter does it need cleaned you should be checking yourself. Doesn't make U-Haul look good having a filthy van inside and out driving on major highways. That's supposed to be your rolling billboard. Also had a message on van on dash stating there was a turn signal light out. Manager and I walked around with turn signals and four ways on and they did work. However, after getting on the road found that the lower running light (fog light) was completely out. After fueling the top off before returning the gauge was faulty saying there wasn't a full tank of fuel even thought it was coming out the side of tank at gas station. I had to wait almost an 1/2 of starting and shutting down and even called customer service to report that before I got the gauge to read full. The reservation I had was $480.73. 355.00 for 750 miles and 4 days and $60 for insurance and $5 for roadside assistance plus taxes. But the contract comes out at $513. Tried to charge me extra on insurance which beefed up taxes. During trip other than what is listed above van drove nice and was great on gas.

angel sWhen I picked up the trailer at 830 it was a good experience, the employee was polite and quick with everything. There was only one person working, but that's expected at 830 am on a Saturday. When I dropped it off at 2pm that same day however there was only one person working. The store was very busy between pick ups and drop offs. Multiple people asked, "you're the only one working?" When I went inside after waiting for 20+ mins to drop off the trailer, I asked if I could drop it and go like someone else had done. The employee had an attitude when she responded. Maybe having one employee working on a Saturday isn't the best idea, especially if that person is moving slow and not very polite.

Christine WFirst off, the reservation process took four days to get correct. On top of that i needed 5 vans in one contract, not 5 vans with 5 different contracts and reference numbers. When dealing with a fleet of 50 plus vehicles already it makes paper work and etc harder than it should be. We picked up the vehicles and 4 out of the 5 were dirty and smelled of urine. We then proceeded with the vehicles because this had already been a 2 week process and needed them. Upon returning the vehicles, we filled 3 of the 4 we got from this location to full tanks of gas and the last one was filled to above half. Of those vehicles 3 were half a tank or less so they just recieved free gas. The last that was on a full tank when we got it was filled to half and we were charged 62.50 for 13 gallons of gas. I was then told to call the store to see about removing this charge and was spoken to as if my reasoning was not important enough to even be considered by a receptionist at the Coldwater location. For a company thats been around since before i can remember I cant begin to understand these issues being a problem. Or that my request could not be rectified.
Antwan JI'm not sure how you calculate millage but it was off. I did nothing but go to my house, gas station, my other home and to the drop off place and I was over millage. I wasn't over much but it still isn't cool getting additional charges.

Bait and switch classic, there is no way other than physical hand carry heavy items including furniture and heavy items up STAIRS! If it's got stairs it's not the first floor the website description needs updating! Also only After we rented got to the unit we wants we were told the previous customer lock was still there and they would not remove the lock to let us in. That was the ONLY available unit, FYI if there's a lock on it and you "cannot legally" remove it then it's not really available. Huge waste of time after a nearly 100 degree moving day. This caused us to have to leave find storage elsewhere and then come back again! If we would have known there was no availability we could have went directly to the other storage savings lots of time and frustration.

jeremy rExperience was not good. Original reservation was on Cold water Rd. Was called on Fri and redirected to Coliseum. No one there. 1-800 # said the app wasn't working well. Pinged me in the middle of Lk Michigan. Then was told that the reservation had a "problem" and was connected to a Regina Cruze, who had received a ticket somewhere while driving the vehicle. I was then told to return to Coldwater Rd to resolve the issue with a real person. There were 6 20' rentals at Coldwater Rd. No reason that I was redirected. Wasted 2 plus hours.

DERRICK Bno instructions, Staff did not know how to work the system for entry, the alarm went off when we were in and no one could reset itt. could not drop off our truckload because the alarm would always go off when the door was open. Wasted three or four hours, including the time, over an hour just to turn the truck in when we were there on Sunday

Justin A | First Impressions3 weeks into my first month with U-Haul self-storage (which is free if you rent a trailer beforehand and return it) my unit was almost cleared out by the staff. One of the employees didn't process my storage unit correctly and my name didn't attach to my unit so they assumed someone came by, put all of there stuff in the unit, and left. They broke my lock on the unit, went through my stuff, found my degree and learned my name but never contacted me. I went in by chance to grab a gaming console I left in MY unit and they were talking about how they had laid claim to all of my stuff and that they planned on clearing it out if I didn't show up within 72 hours. One of the employees even mentioned she "had dibs on my tv", I was baffled and they said they'd only give me a month for free. If this is how issues or errors are handled at U-Haul self storage I'll never be using this again, this experience wasn't made right in my eyes and after they attempted to sell my unit to someone else? I'm going to recommend my friends and acquaintances that they find a different self storage facility. This experience has upset me and it has added anxiety to an already stressful situation as I had just moved across the country.

I rented a 20 foot truck one way and was supposed to get in writing a free one month storage unit and they gave me a 10 x 10 x 7 where the capacity of the truck exceeded the amount of storage. So, I paid too much money to get the free storage unit that I could not use. Then, I had to use Public Storage not free. And the mileage costs .99 a mile from Uhaul. Now, I have to rent another truck from Uhaul and pay to get my personal property out of Public Storage not free and the mileage adds up. I would like my next rental truck in town free as they gave front loaded me mileage at rate and I paid that I lost out on never using. Theresa Slater 8104445848. Not happy.

Then my friend rented a uhual and y'all charged her $100 which is not correct because our charges both times we rented a truck were way less than that and she made the same trip we did for our second haul.
