Worst company ever. They tell you it's 24/7 but don't tell you, you have to call to set that up and don't tell you that you will be CHARGED for 24/7 access. When something goes wrong no one answers and no one available to help you in any dilmna. DONT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!
clyde p | Online Move InI drove 1 1/2 hours to drop my items in the storage with someone helping me move and could not get in. I chose there location and store because of 24/7 access. When I pulled up to gate it states welcome 24/7 access. So I type the code in and nothing. So I call no body answers. Then another number and they tell me that there is no one that can help me. Well if they can't help who can?? Duh. Worst experience of my life. And then was told if I wanted 24/7 access I would have to pay for it. I read my fine print and that was never stated. Worst company ever don't rent from them

I did not see any cameras in the area where my unit was, and was surprised that the external doors were all kept unlocked whereas the card swipe was required to enter and leave the facility. The facility was surrounded by a low fence, so I felt like someone could enter unlawfully if they just jumped the fence.

When ever I did speak with someone from this office (by having to physically go to a different office that my unit is not at) they were extremely rude, short, dismissive, and 9/10 times don't help you with the situation and refer you to the main line only for the mainline to have to call the store to get an answer but surprise surprise, they can't get a hold of anyone either.

She stated that I could not checkout without this. I said are you sure she said yes. We get over to the other location where my unit is to get a picture. The unit has a lock inside and a tag saying that it's ready for customer. We get to the gate to get out and the card does not work so we can't get out. No one is answering on the intercom so I call them and the tell me that someone will be over to let us out. Someone lets us out and I get to the other location and when the girl sees me she walks out of the store as to ignore me the guys in the store motion to me that I need to follow her. I Carly up to her and she says I thought you were going to check out online. I said that since I had to take pictures and the card did not work that I came back to make sure everything was good. She said that if the card did not work I was already checked out. I said I thought I needs pictures to check out like you had me go over the other unit. I asked her her name and she did not want to give it to me. She asked why. I said that you all could have save me the trips and time of going back Nd forth if you all had just looked up my unit.. instead of sending me on a wild goose chase for pictures and my unit was already checked out.

ALFRED H | First ImpressionsI rented a storage, when I got there and unload half of my truck, I couldn't get to the storage cause it was a lock, to get a hold with somebody to help it took 35 minutes, I have to drive back to the office and complained cause nobody couldn't help me, my son got wet cause it was raining, and he had to load the truck again under the rain, they send us to another storage cause they didn't have what I paid for available,.so I have to paid more money to get another storage, cause what they offer me it wasn't available. We went thru a bad experience this time.

None of this information was boldly expressed to me in my confirmation emails nor did the facility call me to confirm my information or share information with me. Imagine my surprise showing up thinking I would receive my storage unit information at the office and there's no office. I called U-Haul for an HOUR in the parking lot pouring rain only for them to tell me the REAL office is down the street. Customer service was confused as well. I got there and the cashier had an attitude as if I'm supposed to know this.

That's okay, they transfer me to another one and when I drive there, that one is already in use. I unloaded all my boxes to get there and not be able to use the storage. Then I had to change again, and go for the second floor because I didn't have the time to keep looking for a better deal. That was disappointing!!

I work evening and get off at 11pm it was hard tk try to load up our unit before having to go to work 10 hours. That's our only complaint.

They also questioned some pre-existing damage on the roof that was not from us. We had to wait for a significant amount of time as they examined the photos from the truck before we left to see that the damage was already there but they forgot to put an X sticker.

I feel like I'll racially discriminated on by the manager that lives on the property.Dayna Rodriguez, Is the General Manager. She took half of my money. I was racially discriminated on. She was very unprofessional. Yelling at me calling me racist slurs. All because I charged my phone up on the side of the building. they had no sign. Saying you couldn't do it. The storage unit was a 5x10. It's impossible to trash. I'm asking for a full refund of $126.

I was totally dissatisfy on the service that worker there They were very unprofessional disrespectful and just did not take my time under consideration I had waited from 4:35 until 730 to be done with U-haul. Because of ALL the run around that I received on yesterday Checking out they first gave me an incorrect move out. they secondly, did not bring the key to unlock. She came gave me another cold and left without taking the lock off my storage and she had to come back a third time. My storage I just was very, very this. disatisfied with my move out. The worker that came had to come twice with no consideration of I'm sorry I forgot the key. I'm sorry I was supposed to come and open the gate for you. She just was none concerned about her job. It was to the point I even spoke to Danya the General Manager of the store via text letting her know our situation. Tried to negotiate a way to save our stuff or even be allowed just to get our important documents out of there. I received an email stating that since we never communicated or reached out our unit was sold for $25 and we owe $345 I believe. I reach out to customer service and made a complaint that was suppose to be sent to the president of marketing for that location. Never got an email from customer service or any phone call back to discuss my situation.

CLYDE H | First ImpressionsI ordered 3 U pods to move my belongings from RI to FL. I contacted Uhaul in Tampa to reserve a large storage unit. I asked if the place where the storage unit is, is the same place where the pods would be dropped of so that I could move my things from the 3 pods into the storage unit. I was told yes. Everything was set up. On my way to meet the driver with the pods, I received a call from Uhaul. The woman asked if I was getting a package delivered and I told her yes, 3 U pods. She said that I had given them the wrong address. She said she gave the correct address to the driver and would meet him there. When I call there the pods were there and the driver was driving away. The pods were at 10400 North Florida Ave. the storage unit was at 9505 North Florida Ave and the U Haul office was a different address. I would have to now get a truck to put thing from the pods into and then drive it 2 blocks down the road to the storage unit, which I was assured that I would not have to do. Then when I went in to rent the storage unit, I was told that the biggest available was a 10X15, not was I reserved. I reserved a much larger unit. Finally I pulled up the reservation and a manager type happened to be walking by and was able to help the young man find my reservation. The hole experience was frustrating!

On Saturday 12/31 I rented a truck from Daytona Beach to Tampa thought I was going to be able to go to the storage on Sunday 1/1 which I was told the facility would be open but when I called to see what time they were closing I was then told they were closed and I wouldn't be able to get the unit until Monday which I had to work from 6-2, not to mention the truck was supposed to be returned at 1pm on Monday. When I called to see what could be done about that I was then told I had to keep the truck another day and pay for another day as well. Once I gotten off from work I went straight to the location I was assigned to only find out that I was on the 2nd floor and they had no elevators, I asked to be moved to a different location even if it wasn't climate controlled. Then I got to that location which said open until 7 and they closed. I called customer service and was on the phone with them for an hour being transferred multiple times only to be told I had to go to a different location. Once I got there I must say Wilnelson was very very helpful. He listened and stayed even with all the extra added computer issues (which took almost an hour) that were going on he wouldn't go home until he took care of me. Needless to say besides Wilnelson being so helpful this was the absolute worse experience I have had with U-Haul. By the time everything was figured out I was too tired to even take anything off the truck and now I have to find help just to get it unloaded today and be able to turn the truck in. I must say again that Wilnelson was great.

Only one elevator for everyone to use, access is only a one line road, which make it very hard to get to the elevator if other people are there unloading. Among other, but because of the location, you are kind of land lock.

Basically, it should be made clear that a space reservation is not secure unless money is deposited. I was given a reservation number, but when I arrived three days before my move to the new space (in the same building) I was told it was given away to someone else who paid to move in sooner than I had told them I would move.

So 50/50: Extremely helpful and extremely not helpful - as a former manager, I am not sure what value added the tall, young lady was as other than smiling, she did exactly nothing the 15+ minutes I was there while the other young lady did all the work. Then icing on the cake, the lock on my newly rented space was missing, so I had to come back and get a lock.

Upon arrival, the access number did not work and I could not access my unit (just hours after I secured it). After travelling 2+ hours to unload and store my goods, I was left at the gate locked out with no support after hours. I called every number that was posted for after hours support and no support was to be had. I left roughly 6 voicemails and never received a call back. I finally reached someone at Uhaul Cust Svc, but they said 'only someone at the sight can get me access'. So i was unable to unload my goods after waiting onsite for over an hour looking for help. Most ridiculous from this snafu, is that 'My 24/7 storage facility' was CLOSED. Nowhere EVER did it ASK if after hours access was needed, nor did it advise there is a "PREMIUM" for this service.

I know this may seem petty, but you wouldn't believe all of the people that I have encountered at the 9505 N Florida facility looking for the office.

Scheduling the truck online is a breeze but the pick up is the worst and most cumbersome thing ever. I checked in around 9:15 or so and sat there waiting until almost 9:50 !!!!! Way too long, I'm sure a live person could have gotten me out of there quicker and much more efficiently. The whole account verification deal while we are sitting there waiting to pick up the truck doesn't make sense. It easily could be done before hand. The whole process should not take more than 15 minutes or so, you have to remember what people using your trucks for.....which is moving right....so people are on a time schedule and need to get stuff done...in a hurry. Thanks will definitely look for another location next time that has a live person.
