I rate the facility itself well. They had a good size, enough people working and smooth process. I wouldn't recommend to a friend or book here again because of the neighborhood. I was kinda forced to pick up here because the uhaul had to change my pick up. Not a good neighborhood and on top of that, my uhaul had barely an 1/8 of a tank. I had to get gas at the nearest station which was a very scary looking place. The location is not at fault of the team at this location.Elizabeth C.

Altamesa location is poorly staffed and those who are there are not good at replying to calls or communication. When you ask for help, they dismiss you or just point to where you need to go without clear instructions. I was shown the wrong storage space and was denied access for 2 days straight. Doing so caused me to need to extend my truck rental and spend money that I need to live on. I was highly disappointed. However, at the U-Haul on the least desirable part of town, Jim was very kind and attentive, although he was the only person there to help me.Arnedria H.
You have an equipment supply chain issue. I rented a truck and requested a furniture dolly on line. My reservation confirmed availability for everything. When I checked in, the GM for the location told me the reservation system did not actually reserve equipment down to the level of a dolly. He said he could sell me one or offered a hand cart. I just had the dolly removed from the reservation. Had i not had other resources available, I would have just canceled the entire reservation. We're down sizing and the rental was only needed to get a large sectional couch into my daughter's new place.John M.
When I first came to check out the truck young lady working at the desk wouldn't even get up she rode around in a chair to do a job when I brought the truck back the general manager had attitude real rude bad customer service this is the second incident I had with him and I'm pretty sure you have a complaints with him too I don't understand why is he still working for you all is clear he doesn't like working the shift I would not recommend the Lancaster location to know one I will not return there I like U-Haul but this experience put a bad taste in my mouthWILLIAM S.

I had a really bad experience with U-Haul like never before firsthand I made reservations at this same location went here to pick up the truck only to find out that my reservations were sent to another store 5 miles away. Called customer service back and they sent me back to the Lancaster Store so I got my truck the lady was really nice. Went to take my truck back before time the guy that was working had me waiting for sometime but he was busy and the only one working so he finally checked me back in he had me get in the truck and turn on each blinker, step on the brake, this was done from the rear to the front he was very rude I've rented trucks and several of my family has as well I called them and asked they never experienced anything as this before so is this a new process if so then why wasn't the person that was behind me checking in as well never had to do this yes I stayed and watched.Rosalyn C.

Rude staff and charges are outrageous. I drove 10 mi or less but was charged $53 for gas and fees. I guessed I would use 50 miles but only used max of 10 and no $ was returned. I scheduled an 8:30 pickup, and due to problems with the uhaul app and customer services inability to fix the problem remotely, I was forced to wait until the store opened 30 minutes later at 9am. The store was supposed to open at 9. The person who checked me out Sunday morning was 15 minutes late to the location. Waited a minute before entering the store to finish their cigarette. Required 10 minutes to turn off the alarms and unlock the store. It was very inconvenient on moving day, as I had movers scheduled to arrive at my storage unit at 9:30am. To compound the inconvenience, the employee completely bungled the equipment delivery. While he did retrieve my dolly, he told me he'd have to "go out there and get them," to deliver my furniture pads. He began checking in the next customer (another man who'd been waiting since around 8:30.) I had to leave without some crucial equipment (many pieces of furniture were damaged in my move.) The truck and dolly worked fine for a ~350 mile trip. I'm aghast at the absolute garbage experience. I've never had major issues like this with uhaul locations.NATHAN B.

Fire the guy who checked me in. I swear if I had died in the parking lot he would have stepped over my body on the way home. He just didn't care at all. I get that he had probably had a bad hangover after New Year's Eve, but his lack of caring was truly off the chart. I had to ask twice for my blankets and almost left them behind thinking they were probably in the truck. The truck had no windshield wiper fluid. Turned out to be a big issue.WILLIAM G.

It's reallly not a local thing. The entire area had a shortage of dollys for rent. Of course they would sell them but the ones we reserved for rent were not available. How do you move a house with older women with no dollys? If you can sell you can rent. Your lack of planning now puts me in a bind.caleb E.

I would love to get a full refund for the hassle and stress we experienced. I used to like uhaul, but not anymore if you don't make this right. The main loading door cable was not on the pulley, which made it possible to open the door, but impossible to close it. Fortunately, Brandon was able to temporarily fix it and get us on the road. He deserves a raise, he really saved the day. If not for him, we would have had to move ALL MY BELONGINGS TO A DIFFERENT TRUCK!! Would love to see the main loading door pulley system become part of your pre-rental checklist so others don't experience the stress of having to take the truck back to the rental location with the back door wide open. It was slightly dangerous. I would love to get a full refund for the hassle and stress we experienced. I used to like uhaul, but not anymore if you don't make this right.JACOB S.

Aside from the phone\app\ID thing ONCE AGAIN not working - the process was one of my better experiences at this location. I got a "one way" truck for some reason - and it was new, very clean, great AC, and the USB phone charger was awesome. This location is what I'd expect... the truck wasn't messy, but it wasn't CLEAN. The fuel at the start of the rental was at 1\4 tank WHICH IS SO OBNOXIOUS I CAN'T EVEN EXPLAIN IT. Also - stop putting blankets and dolleys in the truck. I didn't rent them. I don't want them. I'm paying for the entire truck and I want every square inch... I'm not paying to haul Uhaul gear around. I will be back because you're the only location in my neighborhood.... but if there were a single other option, I assure you, I would go elsewhere.patrick T.
The employee Brandon Perkins should ask customers how far are they traveling so he could give them a heads up on how the rate will change after the free mileage. He failed to tell us that before we got the rental. He was trying to rush my husband and I out the door. When we returned the truck and asked him why he didn't tell us. He stated" that wasn't his place to tell us anything". He then lied on myself and told my husband that I said we were going 30 miles. I never stated how far we we going because he never asked. He explained how much gas is needed to put back into the tank to get the 15.00 refund but not the mileage. We also asked who's the manager that we could talk to he didn't want to give us that information as well.. He's extremely rude and needs training on customer service etiquette. He was not knowledgable about any of the equipment. He did put the tow dolly on the truck correctly, didnt know how to put my car on t)he dolly to show me. He did not have me sign anything. I specifically asked to return the trailer to Hereford Tx. 79045 and was tod I would be able to both on phone and at the pickup location. When I got my contract via email later it said to return to Dimmit Texas. This meant I had to take off work to return this trailer. Plus more mileage I normally get paid at least 3.00 dollars a mile to transport equipment. Maybe you should reimburse me the 44 extra mile to return this to a location of your choice not mine.
