The questions above do not capture the difficulty that I had with this facility. The difficulty is in the design --- narrow labyrinthine hallways, low ceilings, limited access points, lack of carts, lack of elevators or lifts to the split-level units -- which made this facility very unwelcoming. I took one look at the unit and said "forget it." Went around the corner to Extra Space Storage and got something much more acceptable.

The questions you ask above are not adequate for an accurate assessment of this facility. Although the facility was mostly clean and the staff was helpful, the set up of the facility is very poor. The limited number of access points, the narrow passageways, The small doors, the low ceiling, and the stairs required to climb make this a very undesirable storage facility. I decided immediately to go find a different facility. I would not recommend this one to anyone.

My only issue is that when the doors were changed, the new keys for the lock weren't mailed right away. I waited almost a year and then had to send a friend who lives locally to pick them up for me. The lack of communication regarding the keys was not what should have happened. Every time I called, someone who tell me that the keys haven't been mailed because they were waiting on people's updated addresses so all the keys could be mailed at once. To me, that doesn't make any sense. They could have mailed in batches. Aside from that experience, the storage experience was good.
Worst experience ever!! The truck was not driving properly and almost got into an accident turning the wobbly wheel. Horrible experience!
Excellent customer service and experience. Don't change a thing! Also, the movers and cleaners (Majestic Movers) were highly recommended and they were fantastic!!
The tire needed air. No window shield wiper fluid. A small bottle of Royal Crown and a lighter. Look like the items were in there awhile

I was overall pleased with the total process of the rental. However; there was a minor issue with the truck. The door on the driver side did not open from the outside.

Your contactless rental process sucked. It took me over 30 minutes to get through it. It left me concerned as to whether or not previous damage to the truck was documented or if they might try to hold me responsible. My selfie was rejected. My alternate contact was rejected twice. I couldn't find the key locker. I couldn't figure out how to open the key locker. The information provided was inadequate. The furniture pads I paid for online were not in the truck so I had to go in the office and make contact with someone after all the trouble I went through for a contactless pick up. When I first started the truck, it ran really rough for a while. I hold Uhaul at fault for wasting over 30 minutes of my time and I wasn't given any extension of my rental time. I asked online if I could extend and was told no. Overall, I was very unhappy with my rental experience.

Enforce mask wear by employees when inside. The employee in the office that we checked in with and completed contract was not even wearing a mask, even when I asked her too. She said she was 6 ft away. However she also moved away and handed me contract
I got lied to multiple times by the staff at the location. One even pretended to be management promised to reimburse me for the late fees due to being sick then come to find out he's not qualified to do so! I will never return here again
Brandon and Sturling provided excellent customer service. I would have given an overall excellent but the two other individuals I came into contact with did not show that same level of service.
I think the one thing you guys can do better for the next customer is disinfect your trucks a little better because it still reeks of cigarette smoke. Thank you!
Workers didn't have on a mask. No one told i would be charged an extra $20. Plus the light was on for back and it never went off.

Some of the computers were struggling to keep up with the staff working that day. The staff was extremely friendly and made everyone feel at ease during this tough time.
Your prices are a lot especially right now when so many people are having financial difficulties, maybe the company can look into lowering their mileage rates just a little because I went from $67 to $89, just from going 18 miles over, which is crazy.
Service was great on pick-up and return. Outstanding service and use of one of your trailers for a day's activities and at a price that made me feel like I got my money's worth.

No one wore a mask at the facility during the peak of the 2020 pandemic and there was miscommunication on extended use of the truck but I haven't contracted COVID yet and the extension was cleared up, so it was all good.
Signage on the lot was lacking. Neither the vehicle pick-up area nor the office area were clearly marked. The attendants in the office area seemed to be disgruntled and unprofessional. The packing blankets that I had ordered and paid for were not in the vehicle, requiring a return to the office and a wait in line to get them. There was a lot attendant that I encountered upon vehicle return that was great- he recognized that I was returning a vehicle and was helpful in bridging the gap between the UHaul app instructions and dismal lot signage.
They always seem to exceed my expectations
Everything was great, staff was helpful and this location will continue to be my go to in the future.

The cleanest facility I have ever used. Other storage places have the stale odor. This facility always smell fresh , and cleaned on a daily basis.
The person that waited on me was very pleasant. She kept a smile on her face. Very knowledgeable about U-Haul.
Rhonda was amazing! Each time that I spoke with her she was consistently kind, professional, and extremely helpful. I will always use her location for my future needs because of how great she and her staff were. Thank you Rhonda for for making my storage experience one to remember.
Great facility. Only complaint is that one of the access doors never worked. I had my card replaced a couple times but it was the card reader that is messed up. The staff always helped me to get in but it was a little bit of a hassle to go to the office each time I needed in.
Upon initially reserving my unit, the website was having issues that were out of my control and I was frustrated when I wasn’t able to be refunded for a false late fee. This made my experience at the unit very distasteful
Service today was excellent. I forget the young man’s name but he was very thorough with explaining everything. The only issue I have is that the unit I initially was told was mine when I reserved it last month was absolutely not it. Besides that things have been great so far.

Renting here and paying my bill was easy. My only issue is this, lighting is needed inside the actual storage room. The hallways are well lit, but to see inside the storage room you need the light from the hallway.
I had a problem with an employee issuing me a storage unit without confirming the price with me first and that price ended up being nearly $40 more than I thought. But the location is allowing me to switch!

I was told that I was scheduled to use the uhaul for 8 hrs but when I got to the facility, I was told I was to use it for only 4 hrs. I was very disappointed!
Meh. I locked my key in the truck while on the property. They could care less. Luckily I was able to get door open myself. Also no elevetors.

My storage unit leaked causing mold. I made the front staff aware and they told me to start a claim. The claim was done however no one did anything about the leak and I was responsible for cleaning it

The main reason I give this facility only 2 stars is because of their odd-shaped storage units. I needed 4 storage units, when in a “normal” storage facility I would only need 1.

My pick up location was horrible! Thi location exceeded my initial expectations not the lows created by my interaction with the first location
The bay door was closed and we had to bring the carts through the small side door at an odd angle. There were 2 curbs to go over which made our items fall off the cart. Awkward and frustrating.

My rental was moved to another facility the day before I was to pick it up. This cost me 40 minutes. I was on a tight time schedule. Poorly run facility. Poor communication with customers.
The young man was extremely professional. He took no time in getting us taken care of. His customer service was A+. On the contract, his name is DeShawn Thompson. Please Acknowledge his work ethic.
I was charged multiple fees that could not be explained to me when i departed. All of my belongings had mold on them when i believe i purchased insurance on my unit.
The young man, customer service rep was excellent. He was, I believe the only Male counter rep at about 6:00 PM on May 7, 2019. He was friendly, knowledgeable, prompt, and professional.

I let them know on 2nd to cancel RALEIGH bc evacuated getting stuff bringing there on 3rd but I was so stressed that I had mini stroke but when cancelled Hampton & need today they were so kind.

Was going to store furniture here but changed my mind after seeing all the broken down/dirty mattresses and furniture along the hall from units where people didn't pay. Unit smelled like cat urine.
The facility was clean and secure. I reported a glitch on multiple occasions that the website had a glitch and would not let me pay prior to the date my bill was due.
The phone number listed is not connected to the actual U-Haul location. It takes over ten minutes to get someone even to answer the phone. I will not recommend to another military family.

This is the second time I have used this facility the team is alway friendly and helpful. Although it is usually business they are alway efficient and nice.
Leather couch we had in storage was ruined!!!! There was mold everywhere! It was totally ruined...never again will I use UHaul for anything!
Reservation was made for storage rental in July. Arrived to moved items in and was told that location did not have the particular size available. Was offered larger size above price initially quoted.
The call center and the U Haul Stores need to be in one accord saying the same thing clearly. They need to be more knowledgeable about the business of renting trucks and equipment.
The light was out in front of my unit. The public bathroom was disgusting, with overflowing toilet. There were not enough dollies for customers to use.
I have nothing remotely positive about my experience with the storage in Hampton Virginia
first of call I had to walk what seemed like a mile in hot humid dark halls to get to storage unit & one I got their disappointment with extremely dark narrow unit after I informed space needed
