As you are likely aware, I had a big issue with my rental. It was critical to start early, and I made my reservation for 530am, which is before office hours. I visited the store 3 days in advance to ensure I knew where everything was. I called the day before to ensure that my truck and dolly were ready. Everything I heard from U-Haul was that it was ready. Unfortunately, after all that, the location didn’t put my keys in the drop box as they were supposed to. I went above and beyond to ensure it was ready and they didn’t execute. While I appreciate the $50 credit, I feel it should be $100 because of the impact it had.

Having been in the car and truck rental business for over 30 years I am not sure why I booked this to do do on the first weekend of the month. The place was crazy busy the entire time I was there. Your staff did a great job with all that I observed. Also Not sure the techs name but he was very polite and even came out and told me how much longer it would be.

Installed a hitch and it wasn’t done properly. It took them 7 hours instead of the 2-3 they said. Also ran wiring incorrectly, causing me to be without a right taillight or break light and improperly explained to me what they were doing wiring wasn’t connected properly and came off while traveling from TN to FL and Inhad to stop in the middle of the night to resolute wiring so the trailer I was towing would have lights. This is a completely unpleasant experience and I will never recommend someone go to U-Haul to have a hitch installed.

The truck was not in good shape at all. It was horrible to drive and I have driven a lot of them. It was downshifting. It wouldn’t hardly go up a hill and kept downshifting there was a lot of play in the steering wheel. It definitely needs to be retired or fixed one ,however the customer service was great.

I wish we could have had a discount for returning early or having more in the fuel tank than when received. Perhaps not charging the $37 for using extra miles. Otherwise everyone was helpful and nice. The vechicle was worked great (we could have used a ramp but understandable) and everything went smoothly.

It was clean. Only had 3/8 of a tank of gas so it was inconvenient for me to stop for gas as I was on a tight schedule. Could not adjust the passenger side mirror. Front end steering seemed worn or loose. Hard to drive. Wanted to wander on the road. Only got 9.5 miles per gallon. Great return experience.

Everytime I have ever rented a vehicle they have always brought the vehicle around the front, this time I was told to walk around to the back lot and pick up the vehicle. On the way out of the lot I seen there was a busted mirror on the driver's side bottom mirror. When I got on the interstate to head to Sam's the vehicle would not go above 50 miles an hour without swerving all over the place. It scared me. I rented a dolly, when I got to Sam's I found out there was no dolly in the back of the vehicle. I called the rental office on my way out of the parking lot from Sam's and was hung up on. Then when I got back to uhaul I ask them to load the dolly they told me that I had to load it. I am a sixty year old woman and they couldn't be bothered with loading the dolly when I asked why they hung up on me when I called them to report how bad the vehicle was they said it was because I was yelling. I told them it was because the damned thing was loud so I didn't realize I was shouting. When I returned the vehicle I was mad because that is the worst service and rental I have ever gotten from uhaul. Everyone of those people was rude and lazy as hell. Worst experience ever

Staff at the location were VERY friendly and helpful. I lost power steering at the end of the trip, possibly due to a disconnected hose. Your staff was very helpful with the hassles of the broken truck. How often is routine maintenance done on your vehicles? I lost all trust in your reliability. I will never use U Haul again, and I will caution others to do the same. Aside from the great people at this location... U Haul general operations, PLEASE stop sending so many text messages and a DAMN SURVEY every f*ing time I speak with a representative. THE LINKS DON"T EVEN WORK!!

The Android version of the U-Haul app, no matter what I tried, including giving the app every permission possible, could not detect and share my location for me to use my truck. I had to borrow a friend's iPhone just to use iOS version of the app in order to return my truck. Had I not have had that friend, I would not have been able to return the truck on time.

Have more employees at the location. One guy was trying to help one customer at a time while the lobby was busy. The license plate didn't match the text I received. I sent a text back with the picture of the trailer and plate i did receive. No one followed up and the employee disappeared.

When I returned the truck, it had over a half of tank of gas in it. I asked , since you are only required to leave the truck with a quarter tank of gas, if I would get prorated any money back for the extra gas left in the truck. The attendant was extremely rude and said that’s not how that works and if I had any other questions or “problems” to call the 1-800 number. This business model is flawed, you cannot take money from paying customers. If I had returned the truck under a quarter of a tank you would have charged me. So why wouldn’t I get my money the other way?

The truck had over 120,000 miles on it and was clearly tired. Both cab doors were difficult to shut and had to be slammed for the door open light on the dash to go off. The radio, just turned it off since it was a short trip/project, would not stay on. Time to send this truck to auction. My interaction with the facility staff was great - coming and going. They were all prompt, courteous, and professional.

The installation for the hitch was quick and appeared right. 2 comments regarding disappoint. 1. The wiring lead had lots of slack it and was zipped tied to the hitch with the slack wires dangling down. The employee behind the desk said that the hitch assembly did not have holder for the connector and there was not one in the store. Every hitch that I have had installed previously by U haul included this holder. 2. Uhaul did not have a plug in tester that I could insure?confirm that the wiring was correct.

I booked the reservation for a 10ft truck using the 1-800-go uhaul line and was given a price for the rental. This was not the fault of the location but after all was said and done, not including the extra miles, the end price was $30 more than what I was quoted. This was the only thing I was not happy with.

It took forever to get the trailer hitch, but the people at U Haul put it on for me within one week of receiving the hitch at their location. I do not blame the people of U Haul for the supplier issue and they did their best to work around my schedule. I would highly recommend them for anything that you need to have done. They installed the hitch on a 2024 Equinox and it looks great.

The truck needs mechanical work. It was an unpleasant ride from Michigan to Tennessee. First of all, the steering wheel was off center so the speedometer was hard to see. It also pulled real bad to the right. And lastly, there was a bad tire vibration from about 50-70 mph. It about rattled me to death

The trip I made Thursday evening I drove the Uhaul truck from Palm Bay Florida to Knoxville Tn On October 5th and drive to Knoxville Tn The truck had no A/C When I left Florida I didn’t know there was no a/c until I got on 95 interstate heading north Map it was too late to turn around and report the problem I did tell the Uhaul company in Knoxville Tn On Clinton hwy There there was NO A/C

Area around the storage units is under construction. There is no security gate and you can not drive around the unit’s building. I drive around to the right and to the end where there is more construction to reach my unit and then have to back up all the the way to the other end to exit. Other than that you run a good facility.

Lighting is inadequate. Carts are very heavy, and you have to lift the (loaded) carts three inches to get them in the door, from the outside.

I was wanting to rent a small truck and storage unit from the same place he told me he did not have any 10-footers I think it was the truck with no sides on it as I'm leaving to go to Rutledge Park there's three in the front parking lot and he told me he didn't have any so I go to rub his pocket to pick one up and he said about picking up back to his store so he can have one I would get a free month rental on my storage unit he said if they don't handle it over there he will take care of it when I bring the truck back on Sunday so I'll come pick the truck up at Rutledge Park and tell them to run it when I get a free rental on my storage unit he said that does not affect you any at all he said you won't get a free rental I said we got to tell me over there that if I'm ready to bring it back to him he would give me one he said you don't get it so sadly to say you the guy why I can get a truck brought back to his inventory and I didn't get a rental and I'm going to find a cheaper rental storage place and get my stuff out of U-Haul

Customer service told me one price send when I ask I had to pay a difference price for the storage unit. I had to pay some $40 more a month for you storage unit that was smaller. If I knew your price was that high I would of used the other storage unit I had. Other then that everything was ok.

I called on 6/23 to cancel my units and was told they would talk to the manager and do it. I get an email in July telling me I owe for a month then I just got an email for a survey July 11th. The process to close out your units is awful. This is over 2 weeks later

Everything was excellent, the employees, service, prices.. there was a dead mouse that destroyed my mattress topper in storage. Which wasn’t a huge deal but it made everything smell really bad. But other than that highly highly recommend! :)

Apparently random but repeated rate increases and, when my card failed, instead of a phone call to a customer who not only paid regularly but was set up to pay automatically, I got slapped with a fine. Treat people like people and you’ll get loyal customers. Otherwise people will be glad, like we are, to walk away.

The management was in array, I understand that it is hard to find good people to manage, but U-haul should do a little better finding people to do what they say and to lead by example. I was told I would be pro-rated for the move from one storage unit to another at the same facility. That never happened, and I was basically ignored. I will probably not ever use U-haul again unless it is the last resort.

only one staff member seemed to know what to do. Everyone was asking him questions while he was multitasking between phone calls, helping out customers, and his colleagues. Vontavious O'Neal was very helpful from the first time I walked into the Storage facility, a few months later and again he helped me out. Both visits he was multitasking and helping everyone. If in the future I need Uhaul services I would drive out of my way for his help.

Well I am part of a large business I needed to be billed and it was difficult getting signed up for that as my company requires a W9 filled out and it literally took months to get someone to do it and my storage unit was shut down a few times. I was receiving my invoices from that person also who again was no longer with you. This survey is coming to me from a manager who is no longer with your company, you'd think that would be updated the day the person left. .

Everything was perfect only problem is confirmation on moving out I received email stating I owed money but it’s empty

Everything about this experience was frustrating. I was asked for a 2nd contact phone number, which I don't have because I only use a cell phone, so I gave my mother's. He then asked for an emergency contact number and had to give my stepmom's phone AND address. After he bumbled through the process, he asked me to pick a code and then said "Really?" after I gave him one. He handed me the paperwork after with no instructions. I had to ask him what my storage number was and where to go. He just pointed and I had to figure it out myself. The code I gave him also didn't work and had to go back to the office to get a temporary one since custom ones "don't work right away." I've stored stuff at other U-Haul locations and loved it... Very helpful staff and convenient equipment like rolling carts. But this place... let's just say I will only be there a month until I find better accommodations.

The U-Haul resevation person did not reserve my storage bin like we discuussed, by me renting a trailer I qualified for one month of free storage. When I got to the drop off center in Clinton, Tn to uinload my trailer, I didn't have a resevation and the person working at the Clinton location informed me that he was not going to give me the sized storage bin that I need for free. The service provider would oly give me the sized storage bin that he thought I needed, which I explained to him was not large enough to accomadate all of my belongings, he told me that he did not care and that it was. To makke a long story short I ended up with a storage bin that is way to small and I've had to find somewhere else to store my things.

After driving 6 hours to get to the storage unit we were VERY displeased with how rude the guy was that helped us. I had reserved a unit but when I got there they said that they didn’t have any available.. and only gave me one unit that was a 5x10 when I ordered a 10x10... clearly I needed a 10x10 because of the amount of room needed..But thankfully the owner was able to get everything straighten out for us. JASON IS AWESOME!!! Very thankful for him!
